How do you burn a photo story from iphoto

I am trying to burn a photo story I created in iphoto to a disk. When I burned it this morning, all it did was burn the pictures onto the disk. What do I need to do to burn the story, in order, with the music into an actual show? Do I use a different program?

Hi.
We created a slideshow in iphoto. I have tried to export it, but the option does not show up as available. When I finally got it into the iDVD, it did not contain all the music it had in the slideshow.
I would just like to get the slideshow burned so I can give it to my class for the last day of school. I didn't think it would be this complicated..... first time trying to do it on a MAC though.

  • How do I save a photo exported from iPhoto and edited in Photoshop Elements 6 back to iPhoto?

My photos are downloaded to my iMac iPhoto 09.  I am able to export directly to Photoshop Elements '06 to edit but when I try to export the edited photo back to iPhoto it goes to Pictures, not to iPhoto where I want it to go.  Any suggestions?

Did you really export it or did you set PSE as your external editor? If you used file>export in iphoto, then you must import the edited photo back to iphoto as a new file.
To avoid that you can set PSE as your external editor in the iphoto preferences, and iphoto will remember your last saved edits + original, but you must not change the name or format of the image when saving. If you see the save as window it won't work. You may need to go to the PSE preferences>saving files and set On First Save to save over existing to avoid seeing the save as window. It will not work with raw files.

  • HT4858 How do you remove downloaded photo albums (from my computer) from my iPhone?

In the past, I've shared my computer's photo albums with my iPhone.  How do I selectively remove some of those shared albums from my iPhone?

Same way you got the albums via computer, this time de-select before sync.

  • HT1229 How can you transfer the  photo library from  an iphone to a mac.

I have a photo library on my iphone which was synced to the iphone from my pc.  Now I have a mac laptop and I cannot figure out how to get the photo library onto my mac from the phone.  The photo stream has transferred over but none of my other albums.

If the photos are in your Camera Roll on the iPhone connect the iPhone to your Mac, launch iPhoto and import directly into your library on the Mac.

  • HT201317 How do you show the photo labels in iPhoto from an Album to shared iCloud folder?

I labeled an album of photos and shared the album on iCloud, I would like the labels of each photo to show up in the shared iCloud album, does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Unfortunately photo stream and shared streams do not share your iPhoto comments.
If you have any suggestions that you think might enhance iCloud you can send Apple your feedback here.

  • How can I sever my Photo Stream from iPhoto '11?

Hi, supporters! I want to give my macbook away (running OS 10.7.5) but don't want iPhoto to be linked to my personal Photo Stream. I know I can turn Photo Stream "off" in iPhoto, but I want my iCloud account permanently severed from the iPhoto application. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  • What is the best way to burn a photo album from iPhoto to a CD?

When I burn photos in an album to a CD, and I open it afterward, why are there 7 files, and THREE folders, entitled "Data",  "Modified", and "Originals", each containing sub folders with the pictures in them, and not just ONE containing the selected photos? This is so confusing. Is there a simpler way to do this?

  • How do I get my photos back from iPhoto?

I updated my MacBook Pro but it froze half way through installing so I turned the MacBook off, when it came back on I had a problem with the software and had to install it properly again. Doing that caused me to loose all my files originally on the laptop, i had to set it up like a brand new.
All my photos were stored on my iPhoto but when I downloaded the app and opened it up none of my photos I had were there. Is there any way to get all my photos back at all? There's a lot of photos I've lost because of the update freezing on my MacBook.

If you backed it up with Time Machine, click here and follow the instructions.
If you backed it up by creating a bootable clone, open the Pictures folder of your home folder on the clone and drag the library back.
If you backed it up by drag-copying, proceed as if it was a bootable clone, except that the path may be different.
If you backed it up in another way, check the product's documentation.

  • Trying to figure how photos "travel" from iPhoto to my iWeb photo pages

    Greetings,
I have I believe gotten t understand just about all I need for now about building web sites with iWeb and its templates (for now). Works well. I am publishing to my .Mac account (for now).
Now, I want to fully understand how photos albums/pages are kept up/coordinated, on my computer, on .Mac Gallery and on the actual .Web site (on .Mac)
Here what I have done so far in regard to posting and upkeeping photos (works well!):
Selected pics from iPhoto >>> Made albums on my MBP
    Published Albums on Web Gallery
    Built website with iWeb
Built photo pages/my album page (indexing)
Inserted my Web Gallery albums into my website
Published the whole thing on .Mac.
    My questions:
*1. Somewhere in Tutorials, it says that: "with .Mac Web Gallery, you can get the shots you wish you had by allowing friends to contribute photos (from their browsers, email). And, whenever new photos are added, they are automatically sinced to your iPhoto08 library".* I am assuming same should/would happen when my iWeb site viewers upload theirs pics (which I am encouraging!) to my Web galleries via my iWeb site. I do not see that happen however. Web gallery gets of course updated by such uploads, +but NOT iPhoto library.+
    2. Some other iWeb Tutorial states *"If you are a .Mac member, you can publish photos/movies from iPhoto and iMovie directly to your Web Gallery. When a Gallery photo album is updated, your website is updated automatically with the new content."*. In the case of my site viewers' uploads to my gallery, works OK, but +my site's pages do not show the new photos.+. Any way to better coordinate my .Mac Web galleries with my (also) .Mac Web Pages?
I hope this is clear enough. I have LOOKED for some more info/tutorial about iWeb/Web Galleries/Viewer photo uploads from my Web site, but have not founded anything specific.
    Thanks for any advice!
    - Roger Y

_*Thanks a lot, Wyodor for your detailed reply.*_
It just happens that I have gotten quite fond of the way iLife as a suite - along with its online (.Mac in my case) components) seem to keep a good, purposeful flow of things going.
So, indeed, as I am currently looking at the stuff on my .Mac site, Web GAllery and My Pages respective materials are not actually linked in terms, especially, of allowing Web Gallery albums' updates to "flow" into My Pages areas.
Too bad in a way! Unless I decide to use the Widget feature in iWeb to link my website photo pages specifically to Web Gallery albums - as suggested by Roddy. Currently I use iWeb template system - with Photo Pages and MyAlbums index.
    You stated:
+"Your iWeb page shows the tiny player with your dotMac Webgallery.+
+Click on the tiny player, and the full Web gallery opens."+
    Where is that button actually?
"Your iPhoto library will be update updated vice versa."
I'll have to check that out then!
    Thanks again!

  • How do you burn photos to CDR from Iphoto. 9.5.1

How do you burn photos in Iphoto 9.
You used to do it from Share and now I can't find the instruction.

That feature has been discontinued.  One can no longer burn a "mini" library from iPhoto to disk.
To burn photos to disk with iPhoto 9 and later the photos must be exported to a folder on the Desktop and that folder burned to disk via the Finder.

  • How do you burn photos to DVD from iPhoto?

How do you burn DVDs of photos in iPhoto?

    Depends.
Want to just back up/share the photos? Export them to a Folder on the desktop and then burn that with the Finder. Result: A DIsk with a folder(s) of images.
Want to back up the Library - all the images, versions, database file and so on? Share -> Burn. Remember a disk created in this way will not make any sense execpt to iPhoto.
Want to burn to a DVD that you can view on a domestic DVD player? Make a slideshow. Export that. Then use  a DVD authouring programme to create that disk. iDVD is no longer developed by Apple. You may be able to get it on an old iLIfe install disk. There are other options:
    Burn: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/21992/burn
    Toast: http://macupdate.com/app/mac/6351/toast-titanium
But there are lots of others too. Search on the App Store or MacUpdate

  • HT4101 Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud.

Once pictures are moved from your camera to your iPad (using the camera connection kit), how do you get the photos off of the iPad? They do not show up in my photo stream or my iCloud. I am able to see any photo I took on the iPad using the iPad camera (in iTunes, photo stream, or when I open windows explorer and browse the iPad director), however I cannot see any photos transfered from my camera to the iPad. The camera connection kit must have put my photos in a directory I cannot get to and cannot sync.
