How do you change the file home share imports to?

When using home share between my two home computers iTunes automaticly imports songs to my pc hard drive under the music file.
The problem is I have all my music stored on an external hard drive, and would like to import these songs directly to the external instead of the pc.
How do I change the setting to have home share import to a folder other than the default folder?

iTunes > preferences > advanced.
change iTunes media folder location to the external before importing files from the homeshared library. change it back to the original location if you want iTunes to put new additions to your library there.

I would like the code print out font to be a smaller size. Currently, it ls printing at 12 pt Monaco ( I can emulate this exactly by printing the same document in an editor set as Monaco 12pt ). However, the settings (see below) are set at Monanco 9pt. This works on the screen, but not for printing.

Yet the code:print gives me more characters per line, resulting in many more pages per printout. The "print preview" shown in my last message is exactly what the printed page looks like as well.
NOTE: with the same settings ("smallest Monaco 9pt), Dreamweaver CS3 on OSX *does* code:print the smaller size, though without color coding. Dreamweaver CS 5 on my system does not.

Select Files
Go to File Get info
and Locate the Option called open with
Select the Quick time Application from Applications Folder
(you can Select Change all option)
close the get info window

All music downloads from the iTunes Store come in AAC format. There is no choice.
You can do either of the following:
Buy the AAC and convert it per these instructions:
iTunes 11 for Windows: Save a copy of a song in a new file format
OR
Purchase your songs from a retailer who sells MP3s, such as Amazon MP3.

The same way you change it on the internal drive; click on the name and wait a second or two for the field to drop into editing mode, then just type the new name. Or Get Info on the file/folder and change the name there.

iTunes stores your iPhone backups in the Library folder in your Home folder.
iTunes places the backup files in these places:
Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
Create and delete iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch backups in iTunes

How do you change the user ID, Group, Account name and home directory name?
When I go to do this there is a warning sigh that the user won't be able to log in. As I'm the new owner of the Mac mini I'd like to put my own name there but not share if I'm doing it right.

the current day was light blue in ical in 10.6 but with plenty of contrast, but I recently made the bigger leap all the way to calendar in 10.9. the choice of color is terrible for reasons such as Spile1962 puts below, but also not having any way to tweak it is terrible. I'm on a bran d new imac and can barely see a difference and frankly, while I appreciate the subtlety, I still forget to look for the darker bar across the top of the current week and day. we should be able to adjust weekend and current day bg colors.
I went into the app's package contents in hopes that they were using a tiff/png file that I could tweak on my own but couldn't find anything for them. all the icons are there, as are the bg sets for all the little pop-ups and things, but I couldn't even find a reference to a hex color in the plist file.

I just did myself, except that Calendar hasn't made the list (yet?), only iCal up to version 4.x, and Messages is still only iChat for feedback, and some others are old as well. apparently after steve died, apple's attention to these details just died with him. it's been that long since those other apps should have been relevant on their site.

I appended this question to another thread with the same topic but have not received a reply, so I'll try with a new question. Publisher 2010, when doing mail merge, will only merge and print two records at a time. How do you change the default size of
the print batch size? This is for a 4 page document, 8 1/2 x 11, printed two sides on 11 x 17. I've tried all the suggestions that were in the other thread. The response that was marked as the answer by the moderator is incorrect and does not work. Nothing
suggested in that thread works. A registry fix that worked for Publisher 2003 won't work because the print batch size key does not exist in the registry for Pub 2010. At least not that I can find. Printing to an XPS document doesn't work. It asks for a filename,
prints 2 records, asks for new file name, prints 2 records, asks for new file name, and so on. The same for printing to a PDF document. Merging to a new Pub document doesn't work. When I print that job every other sheet is turned over. I.e., sheet one has
pages 1 & 3 on top, next sheet has 3 & 4 on top, and so on. This makes it impossible to run them through the folder. The same thing happens when I print that complete merged document to XPS or PDF. I have the latest drivers installed for our printer, a Toshiba
2500C copier/printer connected via network. What do I need to do to to change the batch size to something reasonable, like 100 records?

It's been two weeks since I posted this question. What does it take to get an answer? I cannot believe it's being ignored, nor can I believe that someone in MS doesn't have an answer.

I'm a new Mac user. How do you change the size of pictures in iPhoto? Sometimes when sending e-mails, the picture files are extremely large and take a long time to load... Is there any way you can make the picture or file smaller? Like on a PC, you can open the photo in the Paint program and just reduce the size... Is there anything like this for the Mac?

Assuming that you're accessing your email package from INSIDE iPhoto, you're given a choice of picture sizes. Personally, I've found "medium" to be a good compromise but you might prefer "small" (iPhoto will tell you the file size).
If you don't know what I'm talking about, first go iPhoto Preferences > General and select your email client. Then, go to the View menu and select Show in Toolbar > Email.
