How do you close an information window when you can't see the close button?

One of my Macs is a trusty old G3 iMac and since version 8 I've had a problem with the information window you get for podcasts when you click on the 'i' button. The window goes to the full screen height, in fact it goes beyond because you can't see the top and button. Therefore I can't close it with the mouse or move it.
I also can't find a keyboard shortcut that will close this window, so I have to exit iTunes and re-start, which on this machine is a slow process.
Anyone help welcome - is there a keyboard shortcut?

...that's the sound of me hitting my head on the keyboard. I never knew about Command-W because, you know, it's only a menu option IN ALL THE APPLICATIONS I JUST LOOKED AT!
Oh well...you learn something every day...and I would like to point out that if you use OSX Leopard's help system and search for "keyboard shortcuts", Command-W isn't mentioned.

You can download updates to your computer's iTunes via the Check For Updates button at the bottom of the Apps section of your iTunes library. When they've been downloaded, and if you haven't already done so, connect the iPad to your computer and select it on the left-hand side of iTunes (if you don't have the left-hand sidebar showing then you can enable it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and on the Apps tab on the right-hand side clicking the Sync button at the bottom of it should install the relevant updates.

How to join tracks when iTunes can't see the CD

I have a convoluted issue.
From this post <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=4567334&#4567334> I understand that in order for iTunes to see my CD it needs to be in Standard format. (In my case the files are MP3s and a Windows Executable.... On my windows machine it auto-launched MusicMatch.)
Most of the time, the work-around of selecting the files in the Finder and dragging them to iTunes would be fine.
Unfortunately, the 43 tracks on the CD in question are an audiobook which I'd like to join together as ONE track. From other posts I've read, I understand the only time one can join tracks is when importing from the CD in iTunes.
Since iTunes can't see the CD, is there any other way to join the tracks?
I have several CDs worth of audiobooks and would hate to have 17 gazillion tracks floating around my iTunes and iPod....

I've found a work-around. It's not exactly a zippy process, but in the end I did end up with a conjoined bookmarkable AAC file rather than 43 separate MP3s.
At <http://aldoblog.com/audiobooks/itunes/importing-mp3-cds/> I learned more about the settings needed for importing my tracks to iTunes. Unfortunately, using the .m3u file didn't work for me but it may for others. (I suspect it was because the CD was created with MusicMatch in mind, rather than iTunes.)
The FAQ at aldoblog.com gave me my next ray of hope.

Here I found a link to Doug Adam's "Join Together" which can stitch together tracks after they've been imported into iTunes.

I can see my photo in the events window but I can't see the actual photo

I can see the preview of the photo but when I try to open it I get a gray exclamation point. How do I find the original and or why is this happening?

The ! turns up when iPhoto loses the connection between the thumbnail in the iPhoto Window and the file it represents.
What version of iPhoto? Assuming 09 or later...
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

I don't see the new "firefox button" and i can't see the bookmark button (with the drop down option) unless I'm in the customize toolbar view. How can I fix these?

I am using Firefox 4.0 on Windows XP home, Service pack 3. I am trying to use some of the new features of Firefox 4.0 that I see on the Firefox feature page (http://mzl.la/gCFDjj) and am not having much luck. First off in the Firefox Button. It is supposed to contain all your menu items but it is not appearing on my screen. Is this a feature that only works in Vista or Windows 7?
Second, I am trying to use the Bookmarks Button (the one that has the drop down menu) but it doesn't appear in my toolbar unless I right click the tool bar and choose "customize". The button shows up in this view already in the toolbar, as if it is hidden in normal use and no matter where I move it to, once I hit the "done" button in the customize window the Bookmarks Button gets hidden/covered up again.
Third, I see the new "App Tabs" feature but I can't seem to find an option for this in the preferences for Firefox, if it's even supported by my browser/OS at all.
Can anyone tell me how to use/activate these features or if I am even able to using Windows XP?

You see the orange (on Linux gray) Firefox button if the Menu Bar is hidden (View > Toolbars > Customize or right-click a toolbar).<br />
If you need to access the hidden Menu bar then press F10 or hold down the Alt key to make the Menu Bar appear temporarily.<br />
You only see the Bookmarks menu button if the Menu bar is hidden.

I can not see the Firefox button, how do I make it appear?

I just upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1. There is no firefox button. I am on Windows XP. I use large fonts and icons.
I need to the button so I can bring the tabs back down near my content where I use them.

The Firefox button is a default feature ONLY for Windows Vista and 7, not for Windows XP users.
If you want to have this feature, you can do this:
View > Toolbars and UNCHECK the Menu bar.

Be advised that this solution will also exit the form without saving the changes and asking anything if the user did make changes.
You're probably changing some field from a PL/SQL trigger (hint: post-query or when-new-record-instance are likely). If you set the value of a field from a trigger or program unit that also marks the record as changed for Forms. Forms will then ask to save the changes when exiting the form.
If you want to prevent this, reset the record status after you change the field in the PL/SQL code.

I updated the video driver and now the screen won't come on? how can I roll back the driver when I can't see the screen?

I am running my Mac Book Pro with Bootcamp. Leopard on one partition and Windows 7 on the other. I updated the driver for the Nvidia video card then the screen went black. I tried to boot into the MAC side but the screen doesn't even show the optional boot screen. It does however sound like it's booting, I have tried hooking up a second monitor to see if it would show on that but it doesn't. I have also tried booting from the CD using the Win 7 disk, hoping that it would use the video driver on the disk instead. I'm either not doing it right (pressing ctrl & D whilst starting up) or that doesn't work either? I'm a bit lost? Don't know how to get to it.

How do i activate my Apple ID when I can't receive the emails??

I have tried a number of times to access my Apple ID, but I cannot receive the emails!! I get all other emails from Apple, but the one to activate my id is no where. I have checked my junk folders and trash, but it's nowhere.
Is there a way to do it without using the verification email?? Or do I have to try to do it through apple tech support on the phone??

The verification emails have been reported to be delayed by a number of users for some time now...not unusual to see a week or two delay.
Simple test: login and see if your appleid and password are accepted. If so, you are in the system.

Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
