How do you MAKE Pages save so you don't have to lose stuff?

Pages isn't always saving in Lion. If you close a Pages document and return to it later, things are not always saved. Is there a trick to Save like back in the days?

Cmd-S makes a save of the current version.

When I edit docs and spreadsheets on my Mac with OSX Mountain Lion with documents in iCloud, they have to be reformatted when I go to open them on my iPad or iPhone. This is minor annoyance but an annoyance nonetheless. Is there a way to format docs on the Mac so this does not take place?

Change the music video's *Media Type* to Video. To do this, right->click on the music video and choose *Get Info* and then head over to the Options tab. There you will see the *Media Type* option with a drop down list. This will move the music video to your Videos/Movies.

I can't get my cursor to completely leave the screen, so when I'm watching videos on some services the video control menu stays at the bottom of the screen. How do I make it disappear so I don't have to see the progress bar and stop/start buttons?

When I watch certain video services like amazon or Netflix and enter full screen, when I move the cursor a video menu pops up on the bottom of the screen and won't disappear until the cursor goes offscreen. But my cursor won't go fully off screen. Just the tip remains visible so the video menu doesn't leave.

What happens if you simply click the trackpad in the movie area before the cursor disappears? Does that cause the video menu to disappear?

I am using factory method to print alv with oops .
Cancel , Exit and Back button are active by default in Standard tool bar in output of Report , But Save button is not active , How can i make that save button active .

Hi,
1)you need to give the function code to that save in the Function Keys of that screen from the GUI Status.
2) while filling the field catalog of that field you need to put the
wa_fieldcat_edit-edit = c_x.
i.e use the edit and append to that field catalog internal table.

How do I make Pages the default program for .doc files without having the need to change the default program for each individual.doc file?

Navigate to a .doc file.
Ctrl click the file
Choose Open with and then go down the list, past pages, to other
Navigate to pages
Before you click Open make sure you click the 'Always open with' check box.
You should be okay.
You can do a similar think by selecting the file, Choosing File-Get Info
Then open the Open With Disclosure triangle.
select pages and then click CHANGE ALL

Hello ADW,
To change the default programme used to open a filetype, Get Info on one of the files you are looking to set, the change the Open With selection to Pages.
Then click on Use this application to open all documents like this one.
You will have to repeat this for each file type you want to use that way.

The iPad uses iOS, and your MacBook Air uses OS X, which are different operating systems with different apps.
iWork apps (Keynote, Pages and Numbers) have got two version: for OS X and for iOS. You already purchased Keynote and Pages for iOS, so you can install them in all your iPhones, iPads and iPods touch for free, but not in the MacBook Air, because the iOS version isn't supported. You have to buy Keynote and Pages for OS X in the Mac App Store for your MacBook Air.

You could not include the page in the navigation menu. In the Page Inspector, unselect "Include page in navigation menu". That way it won't be found anywhere on your site.

Can I customize the default message generated by oracle forms "Do you want to save changes you have made?"
I want to change its title, message, alert style, button labels, and visual attribute. And functionality.

Of course ON-MESSAGE will not work. Use the trigger on your Exit_Form button. Then check the form or block or record status (depending on your design) and do appropriate coding, something like this:

Not really.
You have to use commit_form to commit the changes or a
rollback_form to rollback just before exit_form, clear_form,
or clear_block.
Or, use clear_form(no_validate), clear_block(no_validate).
It might be good to check wether there is some change in the
data and show an alert in your own language asking the user in
his/her own language wether he/she wants to commit the changes
or not.

but it gives Do you want to save changes you have made?
and I tried to suppress this by setting system message level = 25
but no benifit,,
And if I write :

the message will disappear but the query will not execute all blocks

'Do you want to save changes you have made' while closing the form

Hi Everyone,
I am working on Oracle Applications 11.5.10.2 version. I have created a new form as per the client requirement and registered with APPS. I met all the requirements, but when ever closing the form getting the error 'Do you want to save changes you have made' without entering or modifying records in he form.
Please help in this regard, bit urgent.

Hi,
You can suppress messages depending on their message level. For a full description and examples on this topic, please see the help in Forms Builder (press F1 in your Builder) and search for :system.message_level.
or the other way would be.
As you are using the copy command for moving the data from one block to the other block , the status of the block will be changed to "Modified".As per oracle standards when every the block status is modified it fire the meassage 'Do you want to save changes you have made' .
To avoid the message you need to change status of each line to "Query" .Once you do this the block status automatically changes to "query" .Once it is in query mode when you try to close the form it will not pop-up the above message.
To change the line status use POST command . To get help on this command you can use form builder help.
Hope this serves your purpose.

Adding "do you want to save change you have made" message.

We developed and multy screen web applicaton using J dev 11.1.1.1 and ADF BC- ADF RC
We want when a user go to other screen to ask him a question as "do you want to save change you have made"
Otherwise if a an error occurs "source" screeen
and user go "target" screen and want to commit change
ADF try to validate all entities.
And error mesages about source screens displaying on the target screen.
it is very confusing situation fro users.

Let's try swapping out your QuickTime again, taking a few extra explicit precautions this time.
Head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove any leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx. (If “Hide filename extensions for known file types” is enabled on the PC, then those two files will appear as “QuickTime” and QuickTimeVR”.)
7. Restart your computer.
Now download and save a copy of the latest standalone QuickTime installer to your hard drive. (We'll run the install from there rather than online.)
Latest Quicktime Installers … get the one that doesn’t mention iTunes

If you still have a working copy of Pages ’08, then save the Pages documents out as .doc Word files and open those in Pages v5.5.2. If you do not have a machine to run Pages '08 on, but still have the iWork '08 DVD, you can install that on Yosemite, and then update Pages '08 to version 3.0.3. Then export the Pages documents to Word. Or you can simply avoid using Pages v5.5.2 altogether, as it has a fraction of the capability found in Pages '08.
