How do you set up two iPads so that they can share ebooks, etc

My wife and I each have an ipad 2 and we share an iMac. Currently, we have been using the same apple ID, mine, when purchasing music or ebooks. I would like to know the right way to set these up as I upgrade to IOS 5 so that we can both take advantage of iCloud and still be able to share books.

Your iPad doesn't receive email from Outlook Express (or any other email client). It receives email from your email provider. Other options not covered in the article:
1) You can plug both in under the same computer username and same iTunes Apple ID and give each device it's own name. You should be able to manage them as separate devices with different media, apps and screen layouts. All of your media would be in a common pool, though.
2) Under one computer username, you can login and logout of two different iTunes Apple IDs. This option is cleaner with two computer usernames but it can be done with one.

No. You cannot link your contacts to hers. However, you can use Home Sharing to share the information:

You will probably need to create an apple Id for you grandson, so you can call that ID instead of yours.

How do I set up my system so that I can program in C,C ? Without using Xcode. Just want to write simple "hello, world" stuff. So far, my Mac seem oblivious to my efforts even though it seems that all the files are there.
At first, it could not find gcc. Then I added /Developer/usr/bin to the path and it seemed to find gcc.
Then it didn't find stdio.h. I added /Developer/SDKs/MacOSX10.6.sdk/usr/include/ to the path but it still doesn't find stdio.h
There must be a standard C setup that my Mac is not conformaing to. How can I get set up like a regular Unix system and do C programming like I used to?

None of the responses/experiences seems to apply to me. Let me ask the question this way, because it's partly for my education and also I'd like to program in C. Let's say I have a Unix box and I want to program in C. What files need to be where in what directories? And why wouldn't that work on a Mac? My impression is that the Mac OS X 10.8 contains all I need, but it doesn't work. At least I don't think it does. I may be out in left field here. But surely, being a Unix box, I can get this machine to compile C code in something like the usual fashion. I don't need editors or development environments beyond the basic stuff - unless your telling me maybe I do! Anyway, just wondering what files need to go where in order to compile C programs. Thanks for you forbearance. I appreciate it.

So you are stating that syncing an iOS device to an iTunes account (not iTunes library) does not associate that device to that iTunes account?
So how does one sync an iOS devide to an iTunes account only?
The article you linked applies to the folllowing:

And with iOS devices only. This has nothing to do with non-iOS iPods.
I don't have iTunes Match enabled, the same for Automatic Downloads, and I haven't downloaded past purchases with my iPhone or iPad, so I don't believe the link applies. I suspect this does apply to a significant number of iOS device users, but not all.

I'm attempting to create a calibration program, using the printer port, and a Vernier Serial Box by modifying a calibration program designed for the serial box.
There are six calibration points, and to collect them, I have it controlled by while loops so that the numbers are taken when a button is pushed, and this is inside a sequence structure so that I can get the six different points. I feed these numbers into two different arrays (for x and y values) and then try to use the linear coefficient analysis on these points, but the values for the slope and intercepts it returns are not correc

If I cut out the array and coefficient analysis, and feed the same numbers in directly without the while loop and sequence structures, it produces the proper values... I don't know why the numbers it is producing are different, and I'd really like to know.

I would use a data manager sub-vi that would be called by each from of the sequence structure that produced a data point. The data manager sub-vi could auto append new items or could place items in a specific entry of an array. Later on when you want to calculate the linear fit, call the sub-vi to return the array of values.

in settings on the pad - you can name it whatever you want to - different than the pod. I do not know if you can rename the pod in the pod settings, buy i believe you can. That way you can sync both to the same computer / i tunes, and see what is what.
As respects messages. In settings, imessage (and face time) take a look at what you have declkared as your 'recieve at ' addresses. If they are the same, messages will go to both. you can assign different addresses to each device (all unrelated to your apple ID), as long as they are valid e mail addresses.

You need to change the printing preferences of the default printer to print on both sides. When you click on the print icon to print, it will display the print dialog box. Within this dialog box, there will be a button that may say Preferences or Properties...just click that button to display the printing preferences. Once you have this printing preferences window, locate the tab which will have the option that says print on both sides...provide a check mark on it, hit ok and then print. that should work.

That can only be done if you have an IMAP or exchange email account. POP3 accounts won't sync changes across your devices. If you have a POP3 account you can ask your email provider if they have an IMAP option. If not, you would need to switch to an IMAP account such as iCloud email, Gmail or Yahoo.
