    Hi arewers,
Do you have Adobe Reader installed, by any chance? If so, are you aware if it was the PPC or Intel version which you installed? In any case, for the time being, have a quick look in 'HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins/' using Finder and see if there's an Adobe plugin lying around. If there is, try moving it out of the folder and restarting Safari.

  • How do I transfer a pdf file from a mac to Z1?

I'd like to transfer some pdf files from my macbook to my Z1 to read while commuting, but Bridge only seems to allow me to click music, videos and picture files. When I get to my pdf folder, the files are unclickable so I can't synch them. Is there any way around this?

A simpler way download dropbox or box or upload the pdfs on Google Drive and then download them on  your phone, it will be a lot easier

  • How can transfer my PDF file from my Computer to my iPad ? Ps: my computer not Mac .

I have books and files in my computer I want to relocate it to my iPad to read it, what should I do? Step by step please .
    My PC is not Mac.

You first need one or more apps on your iPad that support the types of file that you want to copy over to it, the iPad doesn't have a file system link a 'normal' computer, everything has to be stored within an app.
For PDFs there are free apps such as Apple's iBooks app and also Adobe Reader - and paid-for apps such as GoodReader (which also supports read-only of word and excel documents). For documents the options include Apple's Pages app for Word documents, Numbers for Excel spreadsheets and Keynote for Powerpoint. And from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD. As to how you then get the file to your chosen app will depend upon what the app supports - different apps will have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc.
For iBooks, which supports PDFs, you should be able to add the PDFs to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library, and they should go into the Books section of your library. You can then sync them to iBooks by connecting your iPad to your computer and selecting it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S), and on the right-hand side use the Books tab to select and sync them to the iBooks app.

  • How do I transfer my pdf files from my ipad ibooks to my new macbook air?

Is there anyone who might help me to transfer my pdf saved in my ipad 3 to my new macbook air? Thank you.

It should transfer them all, I don't have as many as that on my devices but it's always copied them all.
Where are you seeing the 103 e.g. if the iBooks app on Mavericks then are you looking at the List or All Books view or view Collections ?
You could try disconnecting it and rebooting both your Mac and iPad and then retry it and see if they all then copy over.

  • I can't open pdf files with Ibooks app. The files open for some seconds and then they disappear! Thanks

Files open and disappear in few seconds!

It sounds like the app is crashing for whatever reason. Start with simple, easy things.
Quit iBooks and restart the iPad.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If those things do not help - you may want to consider deleting the iBooks app and reinstall it. Make sue that all of your books and pdf files have been backed up and synced with iTunes before you delete the app.

  • HT4059 How do I attach a PDF file from iBooks to a private message on Facebook?

I am trying to send an attachment PDF via private message on FB and when I press attach file on the message only my iPhoto shows up with no option to retrieve the PDF that is currently in my iBooks .

From within the iOS mail app, the only files you have access to for attachment purposes are those located in the Photos app. The Gmail app I cannot respond to. To send a file in Dropbox, you will need to start in Dropbox and use the File function (box with an arrow).
If this is something you need to accomplish on a regular basis, you might wish to consider an alternate email app. Mailbox can handle attachments from Dropbox (but is limited to Gmail and iCloud mail). there may well be others that will handles this.

  • How to transfer my PDF files from computer to iphone 5s

How to transfer my PDF files from my laptop to my iPhones 5 s and how to make folder to store those files?

The iphone does not have a file system to create a folder in, instead apps themselves are responsible for storing their files,
Use an app like ibooks or acrobat reader.
You can then transfer the files via itunes or email them and then use the open in... option and select your chosen app.
They will then be stored within that app.

  • How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?

How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?
I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document.  When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

  • How can I transmit PDF files from my Mac to my iPad, How can I transmit PDF files from my Mac to my iPad

How can I transmit PDF files from my Mac to my iPad, How can I transmit PDF files from my Mac to my iPad

Yes you can definitely do this. You'll need an app on the iPad that handles PDF viewing and editing. There are many around - two of the best I've seen are GoodReader and PDF Expert.
In iTunes when you iPad is connected to your PC, go to the Apps tab and scroll down and you'll see the File Sharing section. You can drag files to there to share them to your iPad.
You could also look at online file sync services like PDF to ePub Maker if you prefer not to have to connect your iPad to a PC

  • HT204365 How can I transfer several pdf files to another app using only the iPad?

I have several PDF files in iBooks.
I also use Notes Plus, which reads pdf files.
In any application (other than iBooks) that reads pdf files, the curved arrow asks me if I want to open the pdf in another program - e.g. Notes Plus
But iBooks' curved arrow only offers to email or print.
I believe Apple should update iBooks to allow pdf files to open in other applications.
Do you agree? Or is there some way - without emailing or internet connection, without computer syncing - only using the iPad alone - that I can transfer pdf files from iBooks to Notes Plus and other apps?

Short of emailing it to yourself for which you do need an Internet connection, there is no way to open that PDF in another app. iBooks just does not allow for it.
If you want to see Apple add the capability to iBooks, let them know about it.

  • How to upload words, exel, PDF file from the pc via itune to the iPad, and where will the uploaded file be saved? In the apps?

How to upload words, exel, PDF file from the pc via itune to the iPad, and where will the uploaded file be saved? In the apps?

You will need an app (or apps) on your iPad that is capable of reading the documents, as they will be saved with the app - if you don't have such an app then there is nothing to transfer them to or to read/access them.
One method of transferring them is toconnect your iPad to your computer's iTunes, select it's app tab, and then scroll to the bottom of it - you should the apps That you've got that are capable of file-sharing (if you've got any).  Selecting/high-lighting one of them should then allow you to add files to it via the box to the right of it.
An alternative way to get the documents onto your iPad is if the app that you want to transfer them to has a wifi setting, which will then allow you to transfer the documents wirelessly. You can also send the documents to yourself as attachments and then use Mail's 'open in' facility to copy them into your chosen app.
Edit : more info on file sharing from the manual :
File Sharing lets you transfer files between iPad and your computer. You can share files created with a compatible app and saved in a supported format.
Apps that support file sharing appear in the File Sharing Apps list in iTunes. For each app, the Files list shows the documents that are on iPad. See the app’s documentation for how it shares files; not all apps support this feature.
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, select an app from the list on the left.
On the right, select the file you want to transfer, then click “Save to” and choose a destination on your computer.
Transfer a file from your computer to iPad:
    Connect iPad to your computer.
In iTunes, select iPad in the Devices list, then click Apps at the top of the screen.
In the File Sharing section, click Add.
Select a file, then click Choose (Mac) or OK (PC).
The file is transferred to your device and can be opened using an app that supports that file type. To transfer more than one file, select each additional file.
Delete a file from iPad: Select the file in the Files list, then tap Delete.
