How I would get rid of Firefox if I didn't like it AND just how would I take if off my system AND will it interfere with any other web browser like yahoo ? ALSO where so I go to find these answers ???

If I download Firefox then decide to remove it - will it interfere with my other web browsers like Yahoo - where are these answers????

Firefox is easy to remove see [[uninstalling firefox]]
I imagine many people use multiple browsers, the usual interference is in deciding which one is to be the default browser. You may use firefox without setting it as the default browser.

  • Help! How do I get rid of firefox developer tools.

I am a computer dummy. Firefox is installed in our Windows 8 computer as our browser. Whenever we use it, a very annoying thing called Default Fire Fox Developer tools comes up at the bottom and takes up half our screen. Sometime it lets me hit esc. to close it but then it just pops back up. We use our computer for the net, e mail and social media alongside learning sites for our kids. How can I get rid of this thing? Please help me and explain it like I am 6 .

If it happens again then please make a screenshot and attach it to a reply to make sure that we understand correctly what is happening.

  • To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier. How do i get rid of this message? or do i need to just drop firefox all together?

To display this page, Firefox must send information that will repeat any action (such as a search or order confirmation) that was performed earlier. How do i get rid of this? it keeps pop n up and screw n up my stuff... if there is not a fix I will be dropping fox and going back to internet explorer.. this is not worth the headache!

Are you getting that anytime you visit a page? Or after you hit the 'refresh', 'back' or 'forward' button?
This error is not usually an error telling you that anything is broken, it's warning you that you are re-doing something you have already done. The page that you are trying to re-access, or refresh was a page that was doing something. Maybe you told the page to search for something, or you were filling out a form, or perhaps doing something like adding something to a shopping cart. Firefox warns you in case it's something you really don't want to do again; for example, accidentally buying a second toaster, or re-sending a comment form.
If you only were searching or navigating around a page, it's generally ok to press the 'Resend' button.
This safety feature is not unique to firefox, I can't offhand think of a browser that doesn't have it (though the wording may vary).
However, if you are getting it constantly, every page you visit, on every website, all the time, then it's a bug.

  • How do I get rid of the music I didn't transfer to my iphone?

I had a certain playlist synced to my phone, since the new update absolutely everything in my library shows up on my phone.  The only thing about the new version I can't stand.  How do I get rid of the music I don't want on my phone?

if you are seeing a cloud symbol next to the rogue tracks, settings/itunes & app store then turn off show all music & video
then go to settings/music and check that 'show all music' is turned off - this solved my problems

  • FireFox won't run and won't get out of the way;how do I get rid of FireFox?

I have used FireFox for several years and have been happy with it. Recently it quit working and claims to have forwarded to Mozilla the hang-up but it still intervenes every time I try to use the internet and announces that it has blown up and needs to send crash report to Mozilla and over and over again. I liked FireFox but I want it to get the ___out of the way if it is not going to work. It will not get out of the way.

Well if you would like, I'd love to help you fix your Firefox so you can get back online with it again :)
Open up internet explorer, go to [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com]. Click the big "Download Now" button, then click "Run". Let Firefox download, and follow the steps to install it. After it is finished, restart your PC, and try firing Firefox up again. Does it work?
If it doesn't, try to start Firefox in Safe Mode. Basically, just hold down the Shift key while you click on the Firefox icon, and it should start in Safe Mode. If it does, choose to disable all add-ons (we will re-enable them later) and reset all preferences (make sure you don't delete your bookmarks or personal data).
Now you should be able to start Firefox normally. You can go to your add-ons, and reenable your extensions one by one until you find what is causing the crash, and keep that one disabled.
Let me know if you still are having problems.

  • How do I get rid of Firefox as its awfully slow and has lost all my favourites which are not in the unsorted bookmarks file?

I was told by eBay to set up Mozilla Firefox as I had problems uploading scans on to listings. I now find I have lost all my favourites and there is nothing in the unsorted bookmarks, where you told me they would be. Also it has slowed down my computer considerably, and seems to want to have about ten goes every time you try to get into a website. So it seems totally useless to me, and I want to revert to Internet Explorer. Why is MF such a useless system and how do I delete it - I am very elderly busy computer operator with ;ittle knowledge of systems, what you call things and so on, so please keep it simple. Jeremy

From Bookmarks (at top left of page) select 'Show All Bookmarks'. This will open the bookmarks Library. Have a look around here to see if your bookmarks (favourites) are all there. If so, you can now export them for use in other browsers. Why not take the opportunity to tidy or restrucure them before export?
To export them select 'Import and Backup' then 'Export HTML'. Save the file to somewhere safe on your PC, My Documents perhaps.
I use an Uninstaller Program so I'm not too sure but I think you can uninstall Firefox > Start > All Programs > Mozilla Firefox - and there's possibly an uninstall option here. Failing this, go to the Program folder and find the 'uninstall' folder, double click 'helper.exe' and this will open the Firefox uninstaller.

  • How can I get rid of firefox, and the download everytime i go to home page

Firfox Setup Stub 32.0 exe, automatically downloads itself every time I go to the my home page. Why? I don't use firefox, I like Chrome. I have downloaded FF before, just to try to get rid of the annoying download page

Have you set the Firefox download page as the home page in Chrome? It can happen by accident. You should be able to set it back to the default in the Chrome settings. Here's how to set the home page in Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95314?hl=en
Btw, if you've stopped using Firefox a while ago, it has gotten much faster and more lightweight recently. You might want to give it another try.
    Cheers!

  • I have two firefox icons running horizontally at the bottom of my home page, how do I get rid of Firefox (2)?

Don't think I need two FireFox icons, especially the one that says FireFox (2)

I am guessing that this is just something pinned to the Windows launcher, and so someone more familiar with Windows may do better at answering it.
If you attach a screenshot it may help me understand what you are seeing
*[[How do I create a screenshot of my problem?]]
Note however there is a problem with some Firefox installations on Windows, and that the registry could have been updated incorrectly so that you appear to have 2 copies of windows when only one is present. <br/>In such circumstances do NOT try uninstalling or you loose Firefox, and do NOT use any option to remove personal information, becaause that tries to destroy bookmarks, passwords and other settings from all normally installed versions of Firefox.

  • How can I get rid of firefox

Installing version 4 has totally destoyed my enjoyment of using firefox, I hate it. I have tried reverting to an earlier version but even having deleted and cleaned my system using cc cleaner a new install retains the button etc positioning which appeared when I installed version 4. Is there anyway I can totally clean this from my system or will I have to start using chrome. Why on earth did mozilla ruin a perfectly good browser?

Thanks for that but to be honest I find version 4 intolerable, I've downloaded Lunascape and will stick to that until mozilla can get their act together; as I said previously, I really can't understand what possesed them to ruin an excellent browser; if it ain't broke don't fix it.

  • HT201303 how do i get rid of a billing i didn't buy?

i need to get rid of a billing issue that keeps coming upand i don't know what for?

You can view the purchase history on your account via your computer's iTunes : if you log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option, you should then see a Purchase History section with a 'see all' link to the right of it, click on that and you should then see a list of the purchases (the most recent is above the list).
If something shows on there which you didn't purchase (and nobody else has access to your account or devices and may have made it) then try the 'report a problem' link to contact iTunes Support and see if they will refund or credit you : http://reportaproblem.apple.com
If the 'report a problem' link doesn't work (or if you are just getting a 'there was a problem with a previous purchase' error message) then you can try contacting iTunes support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

McAfee have taken the decision to rewrite the Firefox SiteAdvisor plugin to make it easier to update. This should ensure that Mozilla's fast-release schedule does not cause lengthy delays after future version updates. What it means for Firefox now though is that until the rewrite is complete - and tested - SiteAdvisor is being prevented from loading in Firefox in order to avoid the possibility of software incompatibility.
The SA rewrite is projected to take a few weeks to complete and test; it should be ready by about the third week of July, although the exact date is not being given at this stage. It could be earlier.
In the meantime, users who are concerned about the safety of websites may wish to consider WOT as a temporary substitute. WOT ratings are set by user consensus rather than by automated site testing, so WOT is not a full replacement for SiteAdvisor. It is, however, a good rating tool in its own right (I use both it and SiteAdvisor in all my browsers) and is apparently unaffected by the upgrade to FF5.
There is a discussion about this on the McAfee forums [https://community.mcafee.com/thread/36733?tstart=0 HERE]

  • How do I get rid of firefox popups with comptitions and quizzes etc?

Doesn't matter whether I'm in my emails or browsing the net, when I click on an option, another page pops up and it says firefox in the left hand corner and is usually about a quiz or a competition or other irrelevant topics. I have to close this each time in order to return to the work I'm doing.
