Is there a way to make the Adobe Application Manager download the archive containing the software on another disk? (I am not talking about setting a different install folder, my understanding is that the application downloads the files in a Temp folder on my C: Drive)
My problem is this: I got a SSD as boot drive but the size is very limited (Effectively 52GB) and I am experiencing troubles in downloading the whole suite: Illustrator, Flash and other programs do not have enough size to download and extract on my C: drive.

    Your time depends on how busy the Apple servers are and your ISP's download speed. For me it takes ~1 hour to download then ~ 30mins to install.

    Mine took 5 hours (maybe more ... I stopped waiting and watching).  Some reported as little as 3.  Zoom in on the little Lion synbol in the dock ... the progress bar moves more quickly in the pixel-scale-range that is in that tiny icon.

    For a computer connected to high speed internet the download will take not more than 3 to 5 minutes.
    And for an equally fast computer with good processing speed the installation would not take more than 5 minutes.

    There is no definitive answer to that since it's dependent on the download speed of your internet connection (which we do not know). Just as with any other download, a faster internet connection will download the data faster than a slower connection speed.

    It depends on what bottlenecks you have interposed.
    If you have a fast Ethernet connection, not cable Internet, that is not throttled by your ISP, and are using fast Ethernet on your local network, you should be able to download in about an hour.
    If you are transmitting it over your wireless connection, it may take substantially longer.
