For syncing iPods and iOS devices, there's no limit.
For iTunes Store authorization, the limit is 5 computers.
For iTunes Match, the limit is 10 computers and iOS devices.

Association of Associated Devices is subject to the following terms:
You may auto-download iTunes Auto-Delivery Content or download previously-purchased iTunes Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.
(ii) An Associated Device can be associated with only one Account at any given time.
(iii) You may switch an Associated Device to a different Account only once every 90 days.
(iv) You may download previously-purchased free content onto an unlimited number of devices while it is free on the iTunes Service, but on no more than 5 iTunes-authorized computers.
An Apple TV is not an “Associated Device.” However, TV show iTunes Products and purchased (i.e. not rented) movies iTunes Products may be played back on compatible Apple TVs, provided that you may only play back any such TV show or movie on a limited number of Apple TVs at the same time.

  • How many devices can sync simultaneously through iTunes?

I am looking to see how many devices can sync simultaneously through iTunes. I know that you can only restore one device at a time, but you can sync content to two devices at the same time. Is there a limit to how many devices can sync simultaneously? Thank you for your help!

Thanks. I wasn't aware that you could have multiple iOS devices connected via WiFi at once. That didn't seem to work the last time I knew of anybody trying it, but obviously it was their setup, not a general limitation.
    Regards.

How many computers can share the same iTunes account?

    Hello cincip,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities. The following article provides more information on associating multiple computers with your Apple ID:
iTunes Store: Associating a device or computer to your Apple ID
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627
Your Apple ID can have up to 10 devices and computers (combined) associated with it. Each computer must also be authorized using the same Apple ID. Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days. You can view which devices or computers are currently associated, remove unused devices or computers, and see how long before they can be associated with a different Apple ID from the Account Information page in iTunes on your computer.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How many ipads can sync to one itunes account?

how many ipads can sync to one itunes account?

You can use a single Apple ID with a maximum of ten devices and computers (combined). Only five of them can be computers. So if you're only authorizing iPads and no computers, then you can authorize 10 iPads with one Apple ID.
Here's some verbiage from Apple's Terms and Conditions:
Association of Associated Devices is subject to the following terms:
    (i) You may auto-download iTunes Auto-Delivery Content or download previously-purchased iTunes Eligible Content from an Account on up to 10 Associated Devices, provided no more than 5 are iTunes-authorized computers.
(ii) An Associated Device can be associated with only one Account at any given time.

  • How many devices can I access my itunes match

How many devices would I be able to view and play my itunes match music?

Short answer: up to 5 computers and up to 10 for the total of computers and mobile devices combined.
    Long answer:
To use Match, you have to "associate" a device or computer with your AppleID.  You can associate at total of 10 computers and iOS devices *combined*.  You can only associate *one Apple ID* with each device or computer, and this can only change once every 90 days.
To play the music on a computer, you must additionally "authorize" the computer.  You can authorize a total of 5 computers to play the content.  You can authorize music for multiple users on one computer, and change the authorized computers for an AppleID.  You can deauthorize computers and authorize different computers as often as you want *if you have access to them*.  Otherwise, you would have to "deauthorize all", which you can only do once a year.
    I hope this helps.

  • How many iPods can sync with One iTunes account?

How many iPods can one sync with an iTunes account ? I have searched the net and there are many different posts but none conclusive. So was wondering if anyone here had a clear idea on that.
    Thanks in advance,
    -TRS

But how many ipod can I sync with only one iunes store account?
    None.
iPod don't sync with an iTunes account.
iPods sync with iTunes on a computer.
You can have 5 computers authorized to play songs/movies from one iTunes account.
Each computer can have 5 iTunes accounts authorized.
An iPod can have music/movies from 5 different iTunes accounts.
Note that this only applies to iTunes purchases with DRM, which is movies, tv shows and older iTunes music. All music now purcahsed is DRM free.

I currently have 9 devices tied to my Apple ID to use content ive purchased.
    They are:
    6 Apple TVs

I'm thinking of buying an MBA also.  Is there a limit to how many Apple devices that can use my Apple ID?

  • How many devices can you have on one account

We have seven devices and they are on one account. But today we are have a problem with one and trying to buy an in app purchase it says that I need to repurchase this app on the same account it was downloaded I have not changed anything

    Hello bullmanda90
You can have up to 10 devices and computers combined to be associated to your Apple ID. If you are seeing that, check your purchase history for that app and if it is associated with your Apple ID. You may just need to delete the app and download it again, or report the issue to iTunes.

  • How many devices can I use my iTunes Match subscription on

Since the upgrade I have not been able to connect to iTunes Match on my iPad and support doesn't seem to know how to fix it either.  My desk top , laptop, and iPhone seems to be working fine though.

It is easy to set things straight here - using iTunes on the computer, sign-in to iTunes Store, select your account and look at 'manage devices' under iTunes in the Cloud - either:
    a.  The device in question is listed as managed by your account, or
    b.  The device is not listed.
If (b) ask the owner of the alternate Apple Id to check in their account.
Do be very careful since Apple only allow a device to be re-assigned to an alternate Apple Id after 90 days!
Hope these steps clear up the mystery ...
