How many logical systems are required to connect between one XI and R3 sytm

Hi Experts,
I need to know how many Logical systems we need to create when connecting an SAP XI and SAP R3 system.
details wht I configured is as follows :
For XI : LOGSYSXI assigned to 100 client
For R3: LOGSYSR3 assigned to 800 client.
Do I need to create two log'cal systems on one side?
How many logical systems can a Client can support simultaneously? is it only one or more that one?

as you've noticed you only need 2 - one for r3 one for XI
this is enough

How many logical systems do I need?

If I want to send an IDOC from SAP through the business connector to 10 different parties, what is the cleanest way to do so?
Do I have to create for each party a logical system in SAP? And do I have to maintain then for each an RFC destination to the business connector? Can multiple logical systems use the same rfc destination?
Advantage would be that you see in SAP to who the idocs were send, if you only see that one was send to the business connector and it's send from there to 10 parties you have less control ?

Jeroen,
It depends on the type of document in SAP, and partner type.
You only need logical systems if the other end is a different system from each other.
If your IDoc are KU or LI then you can use the SAP number instead of the logical system.
This means you need more routing rules inside SAP BC. 10 partners is not large. If you have 10000 partners, you have a lot of work. You can always use wildcards in the routing rule (depending on where the messages are going).

How many broken pixels are required before apple fixes my screen?

My macbook pro with retina is under a year old and seems to have 4 broken pixels. I do not understand how this happened as I am very careful with it. How many pixels need to be broken before apple takes my laptop and fixes it? Also if they take my computer, how long will it be gone for and do I get some kind of replacement?

How to use Port to make a connection between Import Server and Source

I wanna make a Import Server and Manager work with a MDM Repository and a Client System. I want the Import Server could listen the port, whenever the Client System want to sent some files to the Import Server, the Server could automatically import files.
I know how to import a file by hand, but how to make it automatical? Use Port in Type?

Hi,
You can automate the Import or Syndication process using Ports.
Requirements:
1. Import Server need to be Installed.
2. Client Systems need to be defined for the repository.
3. Create the Port with type Inbound (for Import process). OutBound (for Syndication process)
4. Associate a predefined map with the Port.
Note:
Each port is associated with only one map.
While creating the ports, When you select the client system, it only populates the maps defined for that client system.
Make sure if you want to use the same client system for both import and syndication.
Specify the Client system type as "Inbound/Outbound"
Steps involved:
Using MDM Console, In the repository Admin section
1. Select Client Systems-> this is where you have to define the Client Systems , which you are going to use for the ports.
Make sure you have define the Import Maps for the specific repository,specific Client System using Import Manager.
2. Select Ports->This is where you create Port and other related information related to it.
Once the Port is created, You see a specific directory structure created in the MDM Server installation directory
<<MDM Server Install_Dir>> ->Distributions -> <<DBMSHOST_DBMS_TYPE>> -> <<Repository Name>> ->
<<Port Type>> -> <<Client System ID>> ->
<<Port Code>>
Under the above sturcture it will have the following directories
-> Ready
-> Archive
-> Status
-> Log
Ready Folder :
-> In Import Process the import Server will pick up the file from this directory based on the specifc interval you specify in mdis.ini file(This can be found in Import Server installation directory).
Archive Folder:
-> Once the file is picked by the Import Server from Ready folder and if it is processed then the file will be moved to this di
rectory with some date stamp suffixed.
Log Folder:
->Log information for that process
Status Folder:
->Status of process will be kept in this folder.

How many cooling fans are in 13" MacBook Pro retina?

I just got a late 2013 13" MacBook Pro with retina display and I'm wondering how many cooling fans are in the machine. I've noticed when I use iTunes to play music/movies or use the iTunes visualizer, it gets hot. I've seen the videos on the retinas and I've notived that the 15" model has two and I can't find any videos or pictures indicating whether the 13" has one or two. I know that the openings on the side are to bring in air and then pushes it out where the screen and the keyboard meet. I notice a lot of hot air coming out more towards the right of the machine than the left. I had a mid 2012 non-retina Pro but I had it replaced as it had too many issues and I know when I used it, it didn't get as hot when I did this stuff. I'm just making sure in case it's an issue, even thought I got this new MacBook on Monday 6/9/14. I'm also guessing it heats up faster since its a smaller machine and the components are a lot closer. And I understand that playing games or doing something that requires a lot of processing or graphics power will cause the machine to heat up since it's requiring so much from the machine. Like I said, I want to avoid having issues with this one. My last MacBook had three logic boards, two hard drives, hard drive cable, hard drive bracket, and clam shell replaced in less than a year of purchase in September 2013. When the hard drive crashed last week for no apparent reason last week, I took it to Apple on Monday this week and they finally made the choice to replace it completely and I upgraded to a retina just by paying the difference.

This is my mac's info. I got it as a gift from australia. Initial 3 months it gave me a superb service, but recently it's having a major overheating issue,it shoots up up to 87 degrees. Is it possible that any other components are damaged somehow? Usually the temperature shoots up while I play online streamings.

You must have some idea of the throughput of your system.
If you are going to be using tons of I/O, then CPU might be
irrelevant, but you'd damn sure want the disk (array)(s) to
be up to scratch,

if you are going to be doing lots of calculating/processing, then
your CPU might be critical.

How many itunes accounts are allowed per computer?

Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle configuring all 80 of the iPads my business is purchasing. I know there is a limit of 10 devices per iTunes account. How many iTunes accounts are permitted per computer? I tried to just create 8 apple ids, which I was able to do online. But when I try to sign in to those on iTunes, once I get to the part where I verify with a credit card, I can not get past the 3rd one. I have previously signed in with 2 other accounts on my machine, so I'm wondering if there is a limit of 5 accounts per computer. Can anyone verify? If that's true, what suggestions do you have for how to get around or best manage this situation?

The limit you are referring to is for a single personal Apple ID (not for multiple users) that is allowed to be associated with a total of 10 devices (up to 5 computers and the rest on iOS devices). Example you can have 5 computers and 5 iOS devices, 3 computers and 7 iOS devices, but not 6 computers and 4 iOS devices.

There's no limit that I'm aware of or which is mentioned anywhere. Just as an example: I have a logical fact table with around 750 logical columns (>500 original measures & 250 derived measures). No issue whatsoever. Opening the presentation table through answers takes about 2-3 seconds (the NQSQL command has a lot to retrieve), but that's about it.

now three types of update methods are available in Lo extraction
A.Direct Delta:- In case of Direct delta LUWs are directly posted to Delta Queue (RSA7) and we extract the LUWs from Delta Queue to SAP BW by running Delta Loads. If we use Direct Delta it degrades the OLTP system performance because when LUWs are directly posted to Delta Queue (RSA7) the application is kept waiting until all the enhancement code is executed.
B.Queued Delta: - In case of Queued Delta LUWs are posted to Extractor queue (LBWQ), by scheduling the V3 job we move the documents from Extractor queue (LBWQ) to Delta Queue (RSA7) and we extract the LUWs from Delta Queue to SAP BW by running Delta Loads. Queued Delta is recommended by SAP it maintain the Extractor Log which us to handle the LUWs, which are missed.
D.Un serialized V3 Update: - In case of Un serialized V3 update LUWs are posted to Update Queue ( SM13 ), by scheduling the V3 job which move the documents from Extractor queue ( LBWQ ) to Delta Queue ( RSA7 ) and we extract the LUWs from Delta Queue to SAP BW by running Delta Loads. Since the LUWs are not moved in a Serial fashion from Update queue to Delta queue if we have any error document it considers the subsequent documents and no sorting of documents based on the creation time. It improves the OLTP system performance as it forms a segment for one language.

This is the calculation for determining the number of work process according to the available memory for the system.
- Number of dialog work processes = RAM/256 (min 2, max 18)
- Number of update work processes = RAM/768 (min 1, max 6)
- Number of update2 work processes = RAM/1024 (min 1, max 3)
- Number of batch work processes = RAM/1024 (min 2, max 3)
- Number of enqueue work processes = 1
- Number of spool work processes = 1

Near all screens. You can use the HDMI port to connect the MacBook Pro with Retina display to a HDMI screen, but you have got Thunderbolt.
Thunderbolt is compatible with Mini DisplayPort, so you can use Mini DisplayPort adapters to connect your MacBook to a DVI or VGA screen too
