How may I integrate a database with pictures in Muse (to show a catalog)?

As you may imagine, yes, this question has a hidden background (the e-commerce), of course. Muse is a gold window to all those designers that see it's possible to create a website without using code easily. But, websites need rich content, that change from time to time. I wouldn't deal right now with e-commerce, let's go step by step.
I am asking about integrating a database with muse, to show a catalog (for example an inventory of products). Let's imagine I want to show only the products I have (but for the moment) I don't want to sell them.
So I have an access file, with several fields: Product Name, Quantity, Description, Maker, and the last field is an image field showing a picture of the product.
I have already this database in access and I can open it in access, modify it, watch it, browse my products, etc.
Now, what I want is Muse show this database in a certain page, so I would like that Muse read my database file from access, and allow me to show the fields from access in the position I want (in Muse) and that include also the image field.
I want to add two buttons, left, right, to move backwards or forwards thru the registers of my database.
May I do that in Muse?
How?

You can either use object >insert html or an ifame to show the products page that exists on your shopping (server) end.
For example , if you are using Business Catalyst then you can create products on BC end and then use products module in Muse page. Once the module is used , it would render the products designed.
Similarly with third party shops , you can use their html output for Muse page.

Oracle 10g is obsolete.  Oracle 11g is already at terminal release.
Have you installed the Oracle rdbms software?
Installing Oracle and Building the Database
If you are going to be a professional DBA, you need to learn to
    1) read the documentation
    2) wean yourself from dependence on pictures and GUIs.
    3) read the documentation
    =================================================
Learning how to look things up in the documentation is time well spent investing in your career.  To that end, you should drop everything else you are doing and do the following:
    Go to  docs.oracle.com.
Locate the link for your Oracle product and version, and click on it.
You are now at the entire documentation set for your selected Oracle product and version.
    BOOKMARK THAT LOCATION
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what is available here. Take special note of the "books" and "search" tabs. Under the "books" tab (for 10.x) or the "Master Book List" link (for 11.x) you will find the complete documentation library.
Spend a few minutes just getting familiar with what kind of documentation is available there by simply browsing the titles under the "Books" tab.
Open the Reference Manual and spend a few minutes looking through the table of contents to get familiar with what kind of information is available there.
Do the same with the SQL Reference Manual.
Do the same with the Utilities manual.
You don't have to read the above in depth.  They are reference manuals.  Just get familiar with what is there to be referenced. Ninety percent of the questions asked on this forum can be answered in less than 5 minutes by simply searching one of the above manuals.
Then set yourself a plan to dig deeper.
    - *Read a chapter a day from the Concepts Manual*.
    - Take a look in your alert log.  One of the first things listed at startup is the initialization parms with non-default values. Read up on each one of them (listed in your alert log) in the Reference Manual.
    - Take a look at your listener.ora, tnsnames.ora, and sqlnet.ora files. Go to the Network Administrators manual and read up on everything you see in those files.
    - *When you have finished reading the Concepts Manual, do it again*.

how i can integrate RUEI interface with AM pack for Siebel for end to end monitoring

You may want to check the Configuration > General > Advanced Settings > Clickout Settings in order to configure clickouts from RUEI to EM AMP for Siebel. Once setup you can use the Siebel Diagnostics cube to initiate clickouts with the Right mouse button.
Please check the latest documentation for your RUEI version on http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/documentation/realuserei-091455.html?ssSourceSiteId=otncn

  • How to make a christmas newsletter with pictures

how do I make a christmas newsletter with pictures all around.  I want to arrange the pictures.  the collage does it but I want to place them.

Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

  • How do you make a slideshow with pictures & videos?

ok, i'm new to mac & video editing. i want to make a slideshow with pictures & @ the end of it, i want to put in a clip from a home video. if i put the home video on a DVD, will i be able to edit it? i know i have to edit the video in imovie but where do i go from there? can i import it into iphoto & make the slideshow there? if so, how do i save the imovie project as the right file type so i can import it into iphoto? if i can't make it in iphoto, what program do i use? i want the slideshow to be able to be viewed on a PC also.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. As already mentioned you'll need to use a 3rd party slideshow application or iMovie.
However, you can create a slideshow in iDVD with stills and a video clip as iDVD 7 (08) now permits both stills and movie clips to be placed in a slideshow. This screenshot shows multiple video clips in an iDVD slideshow but you can also have stills and video clips.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • How to create Rows in Database with EJB3.0 Entities - Relationship Problem

    Hi,
I don't have much experience in writing Entity Java Beans, so if some questions are "dummy-questions", I apologize for that.
Actual state: I have implemented Entity Java Beans with relationships between them. I can deploy them to JBOSS AS and everything is fine. Then, I want to implement a small client to fill the database with some values to check if my Beans are correct.
Problem: I have three Beans, that have relationships.
Entity Flight, Entity FlightSeat and Entity Address
Flight has a OneToMany relationship with FlightSeat and two ManyToOne relationships with Address (for start- and destinationaddress of the flight)
No, I want to create Values in the database with the Entities, but I don't know how I have to conside the relationships. How can I add a Flight row to the database? Do I have to specifiy the start- and destinationaddress, when saving the entity Flight with Entitymanager.persist()?? Maybe you know a good Tutorial where I can see, how it is possible to fill the tables?

Understand that virtual directories are not exactly the same

A virtual directory will not act as the root for a site. IIS
    will
still think that your site root is the overall IIS site root.
There are some utilities that allow you to switch the folder

  • How to use your own database with your users to authenticate in a Web app?

    Hello, everybody!
I'm starting to write my first web application and I'm going to use JSF, JPA and EJB3 in this application. One of the first things that I have to do on it is the authentication part where I'll have a page with a user name and a password for the user to login. So, as I'm new to all this in Java (I've already implemented this on .NET in the past), I was studying the Java EE 5 Tutorial, especifically the section "Example: Using Form-Based Authentication with a JSP Page". But I saw that the users that the sample application uses come from the file realm on the Application Server. The users are created there and assigned a name, a password and a group. After the users are in the Application Server we can simply uses forms authentication declaratively in the deployment descriptor (web.xml).
But the problem is that this doesn't work to me as I already have my own database with my users, so I want to use it instead of having to create the users on the Application Server.
So, I'm asking you how to do that. Of course I'm not expecting that you place the code here to me as I know that such a thing could be complicated. Instead, I'm asking if you know about some tutorial, article, book or something that teaches how to do what I want. But I would like to see theses examples using JSF and/or EJB3 because these are the technologies that I'm using to develop. It's a pity that the Java EE 5 Tutorial doesn't have an example using a custom database as I know that this situation is very common in the majority of web sites.
    Thank you very much.
    Marcos

From memory, it goes like this... You just create a
raw jdbc connection on your user database using a
special "login" DB user account, which has
permissions only to an "authenticate" stored query,
which accepts two arguments: username & password, and
returns a boolean 0 or 1 rows found. When I implemented this in .NET's ASP.NET I had the same solution. I had an special user created in the database that I used to log in. When the real user entered his username and password I was already logged in and I had just to check his username and password agains the right table in my database.
But that was only possible bacause when I connected to the database using my hidden user, I used the rights APIs in ASP.NET that coordinate the authentication process. This means that before login in, no one could access any resources (pages, atc...). So what I'm saying is that I can't manager this manually in Java. Java has to have some API or whatever to allow me to control the login process programmatically, while letting the Application Server control the access to the resources.

  • How can I save a folder with pictures in it, on PC or MAC? (Not Camera Roll)

    Dear Apple Community,
I want to save a Folder with pictures in it, that I created from the iPhone.. these photos (and videos) are available only in this folder and I don't want to loose them at all!
Whatever, how can I save this folders on my mac? and/or PC? And I don't mean the camera roll folder! Just this folder that I created on the iPhone.
Thanks in advance for you anwers!
    Best Regards,

Not supported by Apple. The only photos that can be imported from an iPhone are photos in the camera roll.

  • How do I shrink a document with pictures on it in MB size??

I did an add for newspaper with pictures on it. When I tryed to e-mail it was whopping 10.3MB in size!! I tryed to go back and see if I can shrink in iPhoto, but no such luck, or I don't know where and how. Is somebody Here with advise? This is my first time in support so I'm not sure on what to ask.
    Thanks!

    food,
There are two things you can try: 1) the first is reducing the size of the output. I'm assuming the newspaper can deal with PDF as an output format -- and since the ad is for that medium, I'm also assuming it doesn't need to be particularly high resolution. So, try this -- while in your file, click on File > Export > PDF > Good (as opposed to Better or Best). That should give you a much smaller file. You need to decided if it's small enough and of high enough quality; 2) if you don't like the results with the previous method, you'll need to pull your photos out of the file, then reduce the resolution using photo editing software -- then put them back in the file. Obviously, method #1 is a lot less work, which is why I'm suggesting you try it first.
Let us know how it works out.

  • How do I integrate JWSDP1.4 with Sun Java Studio Enterprise 6 2004Q1

    Hi,
I want to be able to specify JAX-RPC 1.1 as the version for JAX-RPC in webservice property tab so that I can use doc/literal encoding. By default only version that is allowed is JAX-RPC 1.0. Can somebody help me with this.

    Hi Vimal,
    Did you get this working?
My current environment is using java sun studio enterprise 6 , Sun Application Server 7. I am using JWSP1.3. I have a wsdl file and I generate the client classes for this wsdl file. Based on the generated client classes I write a webservice interface.
Now I generate the webservice for this interface and generate the webservice client. I get
Serialization error : no serializer found for class ....
I am thinking if this is related to bug number :
    Bug ID: 4791482

Do you thisnk that the later version wsdl1.4 will solve it? If yes , how do I integrate it to be used with my current environment.

Still, I didn't find any such way, because the main (only?!) method to entry data into an open database - according what I found in javadoc - is:
"public OperationStatus put(Transaction txn, DatabaseEntry key, DatabaseEntry data) throws DatabaseException"
and both this and the corresponding method for retrieves, are based on the same DatabaseEntry type, which allow only entry data on byte[] support.
What if I need to use Strings or int, or even char? I must do a special conversion from these types, to byte[], to use the database?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
Why don't you use search functionality in SDN? You can get lots of guides. This question is repeated lots of times.

  • How to get captions to go with pictures when saving to a flash drive?

I JUST SPENT ABOUT 2 WEEKS GETTING NAMES OF PEOPLE AT MY GRANDDAUGHTERS WEDDING AND ADDING TO THE CAPTIONS ALONG WITH PLACE PICTURE WAS TAKEN AND DATE.
i JUST COPIED  AND PASTED THEM FROM ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10 TO A FLASH DRIVE.  HOWEVER, NO CAPTIONS.  hOW DO i DO THAT?????

OK, for your family to do that, you don't really want to have the caption written on the picture:  for them to "delete it to print just the picture", that caption would have to be saved as a separate layer, and the image saved in a format that supports layers like PSD or TIF.  Then, your family members would have to mess around with some kind of image editing software that would allow them to hide that layer with the caption before printing it, and so on....
Here's what to try (and you can test the procedure yourself on your computer):
Right-click on a photo in the Organizer and choose "Add Caption".
Write your caption and click "OK".
Use File...Export As New File(s) to export that image to your flash drive.
Use Windows Explorer to look at the image on your flash drive.  At the bottom of the Windows Explorer window, you'll see the various pieces of info about the picture, and your caption will be listed as the "Title".
Although you have to do steps 1 and 2 one-at-a-time for each photo, when you're done with those steps, you can highlight all the images and do step 3 for all of them at once.
Does that accomplish what you're looking for?
