How SSRS report export to Power Point (PPT)

Hi,
Is there any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows exporting a report to Power Point (PPT) ? We are using SSRS reporting service(SqlServer2008R2). Please suggest, how can we export report in Power Point presentation (PPT).
Below are the details about Server
Sql Server:-SQLSERVER2008R2
.Net:-C#, VS2012
Thanks & Regards
Gajendra Paliwal

Hi Gajju,
According to your description, you want to know if there is any functionality within SSRS 2008R2 which allows you to export a report to Power Point. I am afraid there is no such a functionality to achieve it. This is a known issue which you can see in the
link below.
http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/310639/add-rendering-of-powerpoint-to-reporting-services-export-format
If you can use SSRS 2012 SharePoint Integrated Mode, we can create a Powerview report, and export this report to PowerPoint.

If you have any more questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Hyperion Report Exporting to Power Point

We are using Hyperion Interactive Reporting 9.3, is there any option to export the report to MS Power Point output. If anybody can reply on this, then it will be appreciable.
    Thanks,

    Hi
I've not actualy done it with Interactive Reporting but you can do this using SmartView (I have done it for Financial reporting). According to the SmartView user guide:
"Using Smart View, you can import Reporting and Analysis documents into Microsoft Excel,
    Word, or PowerPoint.
For Interactive Reporting, you can import charts, dashboards, and reports. Using the latest
run of BQY jobs, Interactive Reporting supports refresh capabilities."
One thing that I found was that the image imported cannot go over multiple pages / slides in MS Word / PowerPoint. Where I had a report with a large number of rows returned it truncated the view to fit the imported object.
    Hope this helps

  • Financial Reporting Export in Power Point and Excel

    Hello Gurus,
I am experiencing a problem with the export of FR in .ppt and .doc.
Basically when I export in those formats the report shows only the first page unless the rows are from a row template,
any idea why this happens? any workaround to suggest?
    Thanks!

    Hi Mike,
This won't work when you export to PDF/PPT. You have to publish the SWF to the SAP BW system and launch it from there if you want to run it with live data from BW.

  • Can I  export in Power Point or PDF Xcelsious Dashboard if BICS is used?

    Dear All,
Is it possible to export in Power Point or PDF the Dashboard that is created by Xceslius in case the Business Intelligence Consumer Service (BICS) is used to retrieve Data from SAP BW?
I am placing this question because we are at the point of deciding which method of connectivity between Xcelsious and SAP BW will be selected bearing in mind that our customer would like to distribute dashboards in PPT or PDF format apart from viewing them within SAP EP.
    Thank you in advance.
    Kind Regards,
    Mike

  • How do I export from PDF to PPT so that shapes created in Illustrator are editable

How do I export from PDF to PPT so that shapes created in Illustrator are editable, not just text on top of them? I used the Acrobat XL Pro technique described here (http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-powerpoint-pptx-converter.html), to export a graphic I had created in Illustrator and saved as an Adobe PDF file, but shapes are not editable and are fuzzy too. Is there a way to export a complete Illustrator graphic to PowerPoint?

Thanks Bill. Of course I realize I can insert an Illustrator drawing into a PPT without making it a PDF first. What I’m trying to do is insert a drawing from Illustrator that is still editable in PPT (a client request). Using the Acrobat XL Pro capability shown in this video <http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/pdf-to-powerpoint-pptx-converter.html> , only the text is editable in PPT, not shapes created in Illustrator.

  • How do I convert a power point document to a pdf where it will show the notes for each slide?

How do I convert a power point document to a pdf where it will show the notes for each slide?

To get the 'handout view' with a slide and the speaker notes on the same page, you have to save the PDF file directly from PowerPoint (the later versions of Microsoft Office can make PDF files without the help of Acrobat).

  • SSRS report export to excel

    Hi All,
    I have one developed SSRS report which is a matrix report (having customer name in column area and customer code in row area);
and it is working ok no issue here.
Now I want to do something like :
Is it possible while exporting to excel, I can interchange rows data to columns data and columns data to rows data ? (so that customer name comes in row area; and customer code comes in column area)
Hope question is straight forward and clear.

    Hi ,
I have tried to do dynamic grouping based on the Format of rendering, however in dynamic grouping not allowed to use the Global Built-In Fields, Variables, ReportItems collections.
Finally only way left for us to use our classical trick to set the visibility on and off.
This trick can be applied by creating two different Matrix and show one matrix depending on Format rendering.
My trick is to create two groups within the matrix and hide and show one group based on format rendering.
I have created detailed level of post in below link.

  • Ssrs report export to excel along with parameter filters

    HI,
In ssrs reports export to excel along with parameter filters,is it possible or not?
    Could you please help me..
    indu

    Hi Sriindu,
According to your description, you want to export the report into an excel file with the report parameter and filters. And you want to filter data in excel. Right?
In Reporting Services, the components for exporting report into a file called Reporting Services Rendering Extension. There are three types of Reporting Services rendering extensions: Data Render Extension,
Soft page-break renderer extensions, Hard page-break rendering extensions. All these three extension are only for rendering data. It can't keep the filters and parameter in the report. Also excel can't support Reporting Services filter in
an excel file. So your requirement can't be achieved.

forced to create PPT's would love to know
I built a completely new (I thought) theme using a .jpg figure for background, and a Keynote selected white foreground. Spent hours getting the title and body boxes formatted exactly as before. (Every time I select a new theme, I loose the text framing & formatting.)
This did not export. Even 1 blank slide did not export.
Other difference: I am using a 540 px by 720 px slide size. I don't know how I wound up there.
This is getting ridiculous. My client must have .ppt files. I can export them as .png slides, then paste each one into .ppt slides (blank). All capability of PowerPoint is gone. A rather sorry workaround.
This was all done with Keynote 2.0.2. I sure hope Keynote 3.0 exports better than this.

    sql

    Hi RH,
You can add two textbox at the top outside the tablix and using expression to get the parameter value use have selected to display in the textbox as blew:
    TextBox1: =Parameters!Date.Value
    TextBox2: =Parameters!To.Value
For Multiple value parameter you can use the expression like : =Join(Parameters!Date.Value,",")
You can rename the two textbox' name in the properties as "Date" and "To"  then the two textboxs will display like belkow in the CSV report:
    Date                 TO
    01/01/2015      01/31/2015
    ID   EmpFirstName    EmpLastName   Location
    1      Tom                  Garry                  NY
    2      John                 Graham               NJ
    3      Ron                   Lorrie                 CA
If you still have any problem, please feel free to ask.

  • Save Clip - Export to Power Point

I'm brand new at this! I have movies in my events file. I want to single out a short clip, save it and use it in a Power Point presentation. Can anyone help? Thanks.

What do you mean when you say you saved it to computer? Did you export using QuickTIme? Did you try saving to Media Browser? Sharing to iTunes would work as well.
Which version of PPT? I have 12.2.1, which is part of Office 2008.
Click The "Media" Button in the top toolbar.
    Then "Insert Movie..."
You should see a window that looks like a Finder window. You will want to scroll all the way to the bottom and find "Media". Then Click "Movies"
Now you should see "iMovie Projects". Click on that. You should see your available movies.

  • How do I add a Power Point presentation to IWEB, I do not have Keynote

    Hi there.
I have to add a Power Point presentation to my IWEB. It is not big, 6MB. I only have it as a .PPT file on my desktop.
When i try to drag it to the IWEB page and press it it links to apple.com.
    Pls help me...

You'll need to export that presentation as a QT movie for flash file and add that file to your website. If you add it as a flash then many of the mobile devices will not be able to display it.
One method of adding the resulting QT movie file to your site is to obtain a YouTube account, upload the file and then embed the YouTube movie by obtaining the embed code from YouTube and adding it to an HTML snippet on your web page.  The YouTube widget in iWeb will not work so you need to use the HTML snippet widget or the Insert ➙ Widget ➙ HTML snippet menu option.
If you plan on adding the QT movie to your webpage consider one of the methods discussed in this website for maximum compatibility: HTML5 Video tag to play movies on your website.
