How to achieve synchronization after DCP connection string changed via sdk

Hi guys,
i have modified the DCP connection string using method: metaDataProperties.setProperty("SI_METADATA_BVCONN_ATTRIBUTES", new string here) via BOE SDK for java,  and then
checked it  through Query Builder
:select * from CI_APPOBJECTS where SI_GUID=' DC(DataConnection)  GUID' ,
it appears ok, the DCP connection string has been changed.
but the problem is :
when i logon to the infoview or cmc , i find that the information of DCP parameter  is still the former one.
(in most cases , it display the old, former con-info,  but it also display the correct new data several times  )
And if i restart the machine , it will be work ok , infoview will get the latest DCP parameters information.
(related  service  restarting is of no effect)
how to refresh the latest boe managed information?
Thanks.
Regards,
Jinling.

Not quite what I meant - I was suggesting you load the entity immediately after reading it from PU_B, or anytime before associating it into PU_A, so before the merge. What you have not shown though is any code on how you are obtaining IntegrationDepartment and integrating it into PU_A, or what you mean by it is returning a refreshed version of Topic. This problem could also be the result of how your provider works internally - this is a TopLink/EclipseLink forum post so I cannot really tell you why you get the exception other than it would be expected to work as described with EclipseLink as the JPA provider.
So the best suggestions I can come up with are prefetch your entity, try posting in a hibernate forum, or try using EclipseLink/TopLink so someone here might be better able to help you with any problems that arise.

  • How to set ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly in Connection String for SharePoint 2013

    SharePoint 2013 and SQL Server 2012 allows us some additional options to create HA and DR sites through AlwaysOn Availablibity Groups and Listeners.  Problem that I'm having is that I have a DR site that is at a different location.  Microsoft
    recommends not to stretch the farm across different locations, so I've created a separate farm for DR.  I have my content database in an Availability Group so that is Asynchronously commits data changes across the 2 locations.  My DR site
    connects to the content database through a Listener.
    Since the DR site is connecting to the content database through the Listener, it is connecting the primary replica.  In order to connect to the Read Only secondary replica, I need to add "ApplicationIntent=ReadOnly"
    to the connection string.  How do you do that?

    It supports a secondary being Readable, that is all it is telling you. It does not support, nor implement, Read-Intent. This is expected behavior. You can look at the Conn Strings via PowerShell, of course:
    $db = get-spdatabase | where {$_.TypeName -like "*Config*"}
    $db.DatabaseConnectionString
    Data Source=SPSQL;Initial Catalog=Config;Integrated Security=True;Enlist=False;
    Pooling=True;Min Pool Size=0;Max Pool Size=100;Connect Timeout=15

  • How to establish this kind of connection string

    I am using the model: Multiple Embedded Application Clients Accessing Remote Database. There is a database named ServerDB, a DSN named ServerDSN and a muti-user service on the server machine. Plus, there is a DSN named ClientDSN which will route to server machine on the client machine. Then how to establish the connection string for a client application under this condition in C# language? Thanks. It seems that the following connection model in the document doesn't work: OracleConnection conn = new OracleConnection
    ("DataDirectory=\\orace;Database=polite;DSN=*;uid=system;pwd=manager"); I don't know how to fill those parameters.
    I also tried this: conn = new OracleConnection("DSN=ClientDSN;UID=System;PWD=Manager"); But still failed.
    Thanks very much if someone can help me. Urgent problem.

    You can read section 1.4.3 in dev.pdf of Oracle Lite for more detail. There is a model like above.
    There is no main database like Oracle server. And there is only one odb file for all the clients. On every client machine, there is a DSN which include the information about server machine.
    I think you'd better read the document first, thanks.
    Hope you can continue to discuss with me, ^_^

  • Template connect string change

    Hi,
    We recenlty migrated the Oracle application database to new host. The database sid name remain same, but the port and hostname is changed. Client created lot of templates created with old database. They want to change all the template connect to new db and host. How do we change it, it is going one by one or change common file.

    Hi ,
    this information is stored within the VBasic code of your integrator excel sheet. Pointing it to another environment is generally possible, although such a change is not supported.
    The sheet1 contains macros and in it are constants like OSSCOOKIE, BNE_DOCUMENT_ID and SERVLET_PATH. These values are uniquely identifying an environment/integrator.

  • Firefox 5.0; how do I get it to connect to Internet via dial-up modem?

    Firefox 5.0 does not trigger dial up modem access when the program starts. I cannot find any way to get on line except to open another program such as IE that does the dial up, then switch to Firefox. I can find nowhere in tools to tell it to access dial up internet connection.

    Your original had tabs on top, the current one does not. Also I note a dark background, is that some none default theme or persona, or a side effect of system display changes ?
    I have noted others comment about pages needing zooming, no idea why that happens on some sytems, possibly something to do with the font changes.
    I do not notice much difference between versions screenshot attached Firefox 4 and Firefox 6.0a2 open adjacent to each other.

  • How do you access a machine connected to network via internet sharing?

    I have a G5 which shares its airport connection via its ethernet connection with an iMac. Now I'd like to access the iMac from a MacBook Pro which has a wireless connection. Is this at all possible? Right now the G5 and iMac know about each other as do the MacBook and iMac. But the iMac and MacBook don't seem to have a connection. Do I have to do something on the G5 so the iMac and MacBook are known to each other?

    Well it seems I missed the response when it occurred. Need to check my notification settings. Any way, to answer and summarize:
    1. Yes the G5 had a wireless connection to an Airport.
    2. The G5 was connected via an ethernet cable to the iMac
    3. I worded the connections wrong. I meant to say the g5 and macbook know about each other as do the g5 and iMac. But not the macbook and iMac. Know about each other in the sense that they could be references like g5.local or imac.local.
    4. I couldn't get the macbook to find a route to the imac through the g5.
    In the end I decided what I was doing was stupid, and just put the iMac back on the wireless network so it was universally visible.

    Hi,
    I have copied a number of SSID packages from a live server to my test server and am trying to get them up and running but I have a problem with the connection. The only thing that is different is the server name. I decided to keep the same connection in the connection manager as it is referenced in a dtsConfig file. I changed the dtsConfig file to reference the new servername [Data Source= new test server name]. I also check my paths and they are pointing to the correct config locations etc.
    I found this post which was similar to my problem but I still get problems with the connection
    http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=1319961&SiteID=1
    I updated the connection by changing the server name in the actual connection. I did this from the data flow tab in the Connection Managers sections (MS Visual Studio). Right clicked - Edit - changed the name of the server name to my test server and selected the database. Test connection was fine, and saved this.
    Once I saved this, the connection string changed to my current test server in the properties of the connection. However when I run the package I get the following error:
    Error: 0xC0202009 at ReportsImport, Connection manager "myconnectionstring": SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80004005.

    So even if I change the existing connection properties and save and Build my package again, my connection properties (connectionstring, servername etc) all revert back to its original data source when I re-open the package. Simply it does not seem to be saving the connection properties i put in.
    What am I doing wrong or how can I change the existing connection manager to look at the new server. The database is  the same and I have full admin privilege on the server.
    I don't want to recreate my packages as there are alot and they are not simple.
    After changing the connection properties, saving and reloading I get a connection error. But this is because it is not retaining the new connection manger setting i entered.
    Incidentally - I created a new SSID to perform a simple connection and write to the the server and it was OK so there is no problem with actually seeing the my test server.
    Thanks in advance

    Yes, the package is in visual studio and I have executed it. There are no errors but in the output i have the error message about my connection. My dtsConfig file is added to the project in the 'Package Configuration Organizer' and path and files are correct. This is the output error:

    THANK YOU

    First see whether you've some other configurations also set inside the package for the same properties? ie direct configuration for connection manager properties.
    Secondly see if its executed from a job and you're overriding the values through the job properties.

  • Setting up connection using a single connection string.

    Post Author: DubbleOh7
    CA Forum: Data Connectivity and SQL
    I know about the ConnectionInfo object in for .NET crystal reports, but for security purposes we don't have access to a password of any kind, nor do we pass them around our web pages, they are used for login access only. So how can I just set a connection string for the report to access a SQL Server database? I prefer NOT to do the Dataset work around. Its a busy server and the report could contain up to 20,000 records with lots of fields. Not efficient. I also know I could make an object fill it with data from a data reader, but not sure thats as efficient as just having the report execute the stored procedure I have. I also don't want the report to pop up that login page automatically for the users since they have already logged into the website. I'm looking forward to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks in advance for any info or suggestions you may have!
    Summary:
    I don't want to use datasets due to inefficiency and overhead of several thousand records.
    I just want to be able to use a connection string using windows authentication enabled for the report connection to a SQL Server database.
    This is for SQL 2K5..calling a stored procedure
    Crystal reports for ASP.NET (VB language solutions preferred)
    Basically I'd like to use a trusted connection and
    ReportConnection.ServerName = "SERVER"
    ReportConnection.DatabaseName = "DATABASE"
    ReportConnection.IntegratedSecurity = True
    doesn't get me there.

  • C How to Set Isolation Level in the Connection String

    How to Set Isolation Level in the Connection String using the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 Version 4.0"?
    We are trying to move from Crystal Reporting that run against a IBM DB2 database on a mainfram to SSRS reporting and we have downloaded the "Microsoft OLE DB Provider for DB2 Version 4.0" and then worked with the DB2 Administrator to create the
    Packages.  We only have access to use the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package.   We were able to connect and pull data before he removed access to the other packages, but after setting access the Connection keeps trying to use
    the 'Cursor Stability (MSCS001)" package.   How do we change the Default to the "Read Uncommitted ("MSUR001") package???   Since it is keeps defaulting to the the other package
    we can't connect to do it in the T-SQL query, it has to be set at the Connection String level.

    Hi Dannyboy1263,
    According to your description, you want to set the Transaction Isolation Level in Connection String. Right?
    In Reporting Services, the Connection String for OLE DB Connection can only contains Provider, Data Source and Initial Catalog. There's no property for setting Transaction Isolation Level in the Connection String. Based on my knowledge, we can
    only set the Transaction Isolation Level at Query level or set it by using code (C#, VB, Java...) to call the property of Connection. So unfortunately your requirement can't be achieved currently.

  • How to specifiy the provider to be Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client when creating a dynamic connection string with EF Code First from Database?

    I am trying to use the relatively new Code First from Database with the newest EF (6.x) and on an Oracle database (11g, but I have installed the newest ODTwithODAC). First of all, it works fine as long as the connection string is inside the App.Config file. But when I try to build it dynamically in the C# code (or rather, statically at the moment) it fails. I have it working with a dynamically built connection string when doing Model from Database though, so I'm at a loss right now.
    First, I have created a second constructor for the context class that takes a string and does base(connectionString). Then I build the connection string via
    OracleConnectionStringBuilder oracleBuilder = new OracleConnectionStringBuilder();
    oracleBuilder.DataSource = "TEST.BLA.COM";
    oracleBuilder.UserID = "ABC";
    oracleBuilder.Password = "abc";
    oracleBuilder.PersistSecurityInfo = true;
    string connection = oracleBuilder.ToStrin();
    Now trying to open an EntityConnection by giving to it this provider-specific connection string (or even the static one from the App.Config) doesn't work; I get "keyword not supported: user id"). Trying it by creating a context and giving this connection string doesn't work either. I'm pretty sure that this is because I didn't specify the provider to use; after all, it should use the Oracle.ManagedDataAccess.Client provider and not an SQL Server based one.
    I then tried to get around this by using an EntityConnectionStringBuilder on top and specifying the provider keyword there, but then I get "keyword not supported: provider" when using it in the context constructor, and "the 'metadata' keyword is always required" when using it with the EntityConnection constructor.
    As I said above: I bet it's the provider that I have to specify somehow, but I don't know how. The code that does work is the following:
    using (var context = new Model())
    context.Database.Connection.Open();
    context.Database.Connection.Close();
    When I read context.Database.Connection.ConnectionString, it is exactly the provider-specific connection string I created above, but I don't know where to specify the provider again. Do you know of any way to do this? Certainly there must be one.
    PS: I have also posted this question on http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27979454/ef-code-first-from-database-with-managed-oracle-data-access-dynamic-connection because it is quite urgent and I'd like to use Code First from Database. Otherwise I'd have to go "back" to using Model from Database again, which is not ideal because we have updatable views where the .edmx-file has to be edited after every reload of the model, while with Code First from DB inserting into the view automatically works.

  • How to change connection string for a form created with b1de

    Hi all
    i've created a form using the Code Generator tool ob B1DE
    My question is how can i set the connection string to a different server and database. doing so after the creation wizard has finished?

    Hi,
    Why do you need to change the connection string? What are you calling "connection string for a form"???
    The only connection string I now about is the one used to connect to the UI API... and this one is fixed for all apps in debug mode and given as parameter when your addon is registered in B1.
    The connection string is filled in the code of your generated addon.
    Please go to the main class of your addon, in the main method you have the following code where the connection string is filled either with the command line parameters (release mode) or with the fixed value given by SAP. This code doesn't need to be changed...
            public static void Main()
                int retCode = 0;
                string connStr = "";
                bool diRequired = true;
                // CHANGE ADDON IDENTIFIER BEFORE RELEASING TO CUSTOMER (Solution Identifier)
                string addOnIdentifierStr = "";
                if ((System.Environment.GetCommandLineArgs().Length == 1)) {
                    connStr = B1Connections.connStr;
                else {
                    connStr = System.Environment.GetCommandLineArgs().GetValue(1).ToString();
                try {
                    // INIT CONNECTIONS
                    retCode = B1Connections.Init(connStr, addOnIdentifierStr, diRequired);

  • How to dynamically set connection string for report in C# code?

    Hi,
    I have installed CRVS2010. I have created new Crystal Report WPF Application and new report. I would like to set connection string for report in code dynamically.
    Is this possible?
    Thanks
    Ivana

    Lots of posts in this forum on how to set database connections. WPF should not be a consideration as it's just a viewer. The report engine is still the same. Search these forums. Use the search box at the top right corner of this page. Look at samples here:
    https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/BOBJ/CrystalReportsfor.NETSDK+Samples
    Note that none of the samples above are using WPF, but like I said, the WPF is just a different viewer and will not impact how the report engine logs on to a database. (I think of it as a gray car vs. a red car. Same engine, just the color is different)

This is happening to all attempts to open already complied form. Pls, help.

    If you are connecting to an Oracle 11g database, remember that by default the passwords are case sensitive. To disable that, run
    ALTER SYSTEM SET SEC_CASE_SENSITIVE_LOGON = FALSE;
