How to add hyperlinks in Import Manager

Dear MDM-gurus!
I really tried hard to find the solution, but couldn't find it here or in OSS.
We already have a repository with more than 50.000 items.
What I'd like to do is to add hyperlinks to PDF-files in the internet to each item.
For this we got an excel-file from the supplier with the supplier part number in one column, the PDF-link in another column and the .
In Data Manager I was able to add links manually or also with importing entries of the excel-file. Importing from excel takes a LOT of time. I don' t know why:
- Fields to import: Hyperlinks
- Key fields: Supplier part number.
--> Action: Update all single matches.
How can I import hyperlinks in Import Manager, make the mapping and then update the records faster? E.g. I could not find the field "URL <Hyperlink> [Qual]" in Import Manager

I accidently oversaw the URL fields in Import Manager in table catalog items.

I can not for the life of me figure out how to add keywords on importing images. I have scoured the net looking for answers and cant find anything. I see the "Add Metadata from", but there is nothing underneath it where you can add information. I also re-installed and the issue remains. The machine I am installing it on was just recently formatted and re-installed.

How to add users email to manager account

Hey just got my email server up and running. Great it works
Now my question is how would I be able to manage other users account from the managers account.
Example:
Manager-1 needs to supervise email accounts for sales-1 sales2, sales3
If he adds sales-1,2,3 to his short name it conflicks with other peoples short name (sales-1,2,3). I added it to the info on workgroup, however the email did not go in that box. Only on sale-1,2,3.
ps I was looking at the mail on webmail.

You dont manage email by using/adding short names to the user's account.
Every user has their own unique short name. This in effect becomes their email account (it can be something else)
In Workgroup Manager, you need to setup groups - Sales1, Sales2, Sales3, etc. Then add each user to their respective group and then the email for that sales group becomes [email protected] and [email protected] Also add the manager to the group list and that manager will get a copy of all the mail that group receives.

How to add applications of Agent-managed-Device

Hello,
we just can´t get the Application-Monitoring get to work. We followed dozens of guides and read hundreds of forum-posts about it but nobody seems to have our problem.
So here´s the thing:
We downloaded/installed the "Application Monitoring" MP.
Klicking on the "Applications" view in this MP, there is no data shown.
We sure know that you first HAVE TO add Applications, but
HOW?
There is no option in Authoring or Administration.
You can´t even select which devices OM should scan for Applications.
Before I forget: We do NOT want to monitor local processes.
First, we got that to work and second, it´s pointless anyway(you can see with your bare eyes if a process is running or not...)

What sort of monitoring do you want for your application?
APM integrated to SCOM 2012 is only for managed applications (.NET and Java), and it also suits well (and actually is intended for this purpose) for your custom apps monitoring, not only for Microsoft apps as you wrote. But these should be .NET/Java-stack
based apps.
Except of APM SCOM provides more other monitoring capabilities, some of which could be used to monitor third-party unmanaged apps:

As you see SCOM brings much, but APM, the current forum branch is dedicated to, is only for managed code apps, because it works as profiling wrapping the calls of your application. The profiling is not applicable to unmanaged (for example, plain C++)

From your description, it seems that you have a RichEdit Box control and you want to add a hyperlink feature to your RichEditBox control. Could you tell us what type project do you want to use, windows form, WPF or native MFC?
For using windows form and WPF, you should be easy to find some ways to achieve your goal on the web. For example,

How to add hyperlink to report total

Hi,
I have a report and the last row display report total ( using apex default feature - checking the sum check box).
My last row look similar as show below

My requirement to to add hyper link to the nos. 10 , 20 , 30 , 0 , 100 in the report total.

But there is no chnage on the screen.
Also , my report total is automatically create by the report... I have just checked the SUM check box next to column name in column attribute to get the some of the column...

How to add one task in manager task list in CRM

Hello,
I have one scenario like when the user status is changed in service request then manager should get one email notification and that one task should be added in the manager task list.
To send the email I have configure the Action profile and its working fine, but thing is that I not able to create the task so that manager can see this in his/her 'My Open Task' area. For this do I need to configure any workflow or some thing else.
Any idea will be help full.

How to add hyperlink to file path of pdf when creating email using the email submit button?

I have a form with an e-mail submit button that opens an outlook email with the .pdf file as an attachmnet, and addressed to the e-mail addresses i put in tthe address field.
What we are trying to abvoid is sending a bunch of attchement to numerous people, clogging up email space/server space.
What we would like is not to have the .pdf attched, but rather in the body of the email have a hyperlink to the path of the document. Can this be done, and if so can anyone give me some guidance.

Then you can use something like this:

The path that will be inserted is a so-called "device-independent path", though, so they may not be able to use it directly.
It's possible to convert it to a "normal" file path, but that is a more complex scripting task.

Thanks for your answer, but I asked how to add print server in "Server Manager" consol, not by print management.
My server manager has currently 1 print server added, while I have 2 print server added in print management. I want to add the second print server in server manager console too.

Import Manager Partitioning/Pivot Question

My source data has two fields (Part Number, Page Number). There are multiple rows for each part number with a single value for page number. I need to combine the page number values for all instances of each part number and import into MDM as a comma delimited value.
For example:
Part Number | Page Number
A1 | 1
A1 | 2
I want to store in destination field "Page Numbers" as "1, 2" for single record where part number is "A1".
I do not understand how to accomplish this with Import Manager.

I tried in one more case also but there was limitaion .In that case you will end up with more no. of delimiters or nulls
You can try with same procedure but just define a clone field for partnumber and create pivot table with the same constraints
just swaaping with newly introduced field.
After this just partiton all the new fields and then combine .
the newly partition field treat as page number and map to destination field and also map source part number with destination field.
This is also an option with limitation of trailng or preceeding null .I think we can ignore that also for that we have to do some setting of ignoring nulls.
Please try this alos but if you are able to add new field than that is the best one.
please revert back with your results.

What is your SLD look like?
You have to connect the EP to SLD and use the LANDSCAPE FETCH job to import to SMSY - Txn SMSY_SETUP - Source SLD.
Now the non abap system data present in the SLD will be reflected in SMSY.

Add button inactive in Match record step in Import manager

Hello,
In the Main table, I want to see the country data as 'US; United States' in country field.
I have made both 'country code' and 'country description' as display fields in the country flat lookup table.
When I load country code and country description from import manager from an excel file, the 'Add' button in Match records step is inactive for both the fields.
How can I do the matching in import manager without sacrificing my requirement of showing country as 'US; United States' in main table ?

SRM-MDM - loading hyperlink field in import manager

Hi forum members,
I am having trouble loading the hyperlinks in for SRM-MDM in import manager.
What fields / values do I need to map to load this please?
I have mapped the hyperlink source field to the hyperlink destination field, but get an error during import executing saying there is an creating lookup table entry.
Is anyone able to provide step-by-step details of which mappings are needed?

Hi Nicholas,
the non-qualifier for the hyperlinks table is the type. Therefore you need to also map this field. Please check note 1077701 (under 11.) on how to use the types.

LMS 4.0 Inventory add/import/manage page hangs

Hi! I am trying to access the module add/import/manage without success. I am seeing only the sign "Loading" for a long time in my IE browser. I`ve tried to restart browser and access from a different PC - nothing changes. All the others modules are working well.

How were these devices added? You can uncheck auto allocation, click Apply. Then re-check and click Apply. Does the behavior change? Or perhaps you could try deleting a device and re-adding it to verify it populates throughout the application.
Adding Managed Devices
If you do not configure the Device Policy Management using Inventory > Device Administration > Device Allocation Policy, you can manually add managed devices.
You can select a device from the device selector, which shows only the unmanaged devices, and add it as a managed device. To do this select Inventory > Device Administration > Add as Managed Devices.
If you neither configure the Device Policy Management nor manually add managed devices, devices will not be automatically managed in LMS, in spite of adding the devices in DCR, using Inventory > Device Administration > Add / Import / Manage Devices > Add, and discovering them using Inventory > Device Administration > Discovery > Launch / Summary.
