How to add Mail to Photos dropdown share menu?

If I want to share a photo by email (while in Photos), Help tells me to click on the Share icon, then select Mail. My problem is that Mail is NOT on the Dropdown menu.How do I put it on the Dropdown menu?
I suspect the problem may relate to the fact that I moved from a Windows PC to my Mac and installed a Thunderbird Email client to avoid learning a new Mail interface first thing. Now the Thunderbird icon show on the Photos "Share" menu (although it is grayed out and cannot be selected), and I have long since abandoned Thunderbird in favor of Mac Mail. So it seems reasonable that I need to remove the grayed out Thunderbird icon, and replace it with the Mac Mail icon on the Photos "Share" dropdown menu.
Any suggestion for implementing that change?

Mail ▹ Preferences... ▹ General ▹ Default email reader: Mail

How do I add captions to photos (to identify people or places) for a slideshow presentation? I'll be showing old photos and my audience won't know who is in the picture.

If you're running iPhoto 11 you can set the slideshow to display the title or title and descriptions or just descriptions in the Settings pane:
This only works in the Classic and Ken Burns themes.

You can't using iphoto. You'll need an external editor. Seasgore is free, Photoshop Elements is relatively inexpensive, Photoshop is very expensive. Graphic Converter may be on your machine already. Search on http://www.macupdate.com

How to add tags to photos?

After transferring photos from iPhone (or iPad) to PC I see that I can add to each photo a Tag, Title, Author or Comment, but there appears to be no way to do this on the iPhone (or iPad) when the photo has been freshly snapped. I suppose there's an app for that, but the App Store is a haystack. Is there any built-in feature to associate text with a photo?
Captions would also be nice, but the apps I have tried all seem to want to decorate a photo rather than identify it.

You have to post process your html pages (editing after publishing).
You need to add title inside some html tags, three that I know of:
1. img src tag
2. a href tag
3. area href tag
ie:
a href="javascript:void(0)" title="blah blah"
or
img src="blah blah" title="blah blah"
Now, the bad part is that you have to do this EVERY time you publish your sites.
unless, you have a script to do heavy lifting

Version 2004 has a new image property for menu items that can be used.

I have a horizontal Spry menu bar. How to add a vertical stroke between menu top items?
BUT NOT outermost left and outermost right. Only to BETWEEN top menu items.
In html file I tried this:

At the moment, each time i sync the ipod touch to the computer it automatically syncs the pictures i have on my computer, from the folder My Pictures to the iPod.They are stored automatically inside a folder called My Photos.
How do i add another folder and sync the pictures to that new folder on the iPod.

this is from Apple.."Set photos to sync"
You can sync iPhone or iPod touch with photos in iPhoto 4.0.3 or later on a Mac, or Photoshop Album 2.0 or later or Photoshop Elements 3.0 or later on a PC. Or you can sync with any folder on your computer that contains images.
Click the Photos tab and select "Sync photos from."
From the pop-up menu, do one of the following:
If your using a Mac, choose iPhoto or your Pictures folder.
If you're using a PC, choose Photoshop Album, Photoshop Elements, or your My Pictures folder.
Choose Folder, then choose any folder on your computer that has images inside.
Choose "All photos," or choose "Selected folders" or "Selected albums" and choose the folders or albums you want to sync.
Obviously if you want only specific images on your Pod,create a new folder on the Desktop,call it "iPod Photos" or such like and then proceed to sync your pod from there.That way you always keep backup copies in your original folder but can discard the copies from the iPod sync folder as and when.

How to add effects to Photo Booth?

Last night I was playing around in Quartz Composer and figured out, that you can use the iSight camera as an image input. I added some effects and my composition would make a nice video chat effect in Photo Booth.
But how can I add my .qtz movie to Photo Booth?
Dragging it to where you drag your custom backgrounds doesnt get me very far.
Somewhere must be a folder with all the effects used, or?
Any suggestions, experiences, thoughts are welcome,

Okay, I figured out how to get my clips running and how to name them.
Pretty cool so far.
My last question is: Where can I adjust how many effect pages will show up in Photo Booth?
Since my last "more Photo Booth effects" installation i have additional 3 pages of effects.
But when I add some of my effects, Photo Booth doesnt auto-add a 4th effect page. Instead of that the last effect (in alphabetical order) wont show up any more.
Anybody an idea?

In the field attributes of the SKB1-WAERS..in the group attributes..give a group name G1..Add the same G1 for the field lable also.
Then in the PBO of the screen..
***Check the conditions..when other field value (on the same screen) matches
***with the value in the database table.

IF SCREEN-GROUP1 = 'G1'.
    SCREEN-INPUT = '0'.
    SCREEN-INVISIBLE = '1'.
    MODIFY SCREEN.

How to add already imported photos from a specific folder (on a hard drive) into a LR collection?

Sorry if this is obvious, but I can't for the life of me figure it out…
I'm using Lightroom to organize images for a book project, importing each folder of images one at a time and placing them in collections to match the client's file structure. E.g.
* Book project
** Landscapes
** MISC
** Still life
** Travel
So far I have been importing each folder, then dragging all the images from the "Previous import" option into a new LR collection. Unfortunately, I imported a folder (MISC) and then imported another (Still life) without copying the MISC images into a new collection. Now I can't figure out how to get the images from MISC into their own LR collection. I can't re-import them because they're already in the LR library. I don't think I can remove and re-import them either…
Is there any way to do this without me going through my library and finding each individual image and moving it manually?? There are a lot of images so I fear that would take days!

There's no need to create a collection that has the identical contents to a folder, just use the folder! Creating a collection in this case is extra work that produces no benefit.
And in case I did misunderstand you

Go to the MISC folder in the Lightroom Folder Panel, select this folder, then select all photos (Ctrl/Cmd-A) and then drag them to the collection

How to add data to custom dropdown in E-REC BSP Application:HRRCF_REQ_MNT

We have added a custom dropdown field in E-recruitment. The BSP application is: HRRCF_REQ_MNT. Now i need to assign values to that dropdown through HRRCF_REQ_MNT. Any suggestion where that dropdown will be defined because i dont see it in the layout for that particular bsp page. I only see the standard dropdown fields.

you can do it much easier than modifiing.
You can add a dropdown by customer include into the e-recruiting infotypes.
If you want to have the dropdown in the basic data, create a customer include in infotype hrp5125.
If you want it below job data then create it in infotype hrp5126.
If you assign values to the domain of your customer field or add a searchhelp into the customer include structure, the drop down will be automatically be filled.
