i have created a hierarchy of books. i want to add products to some of the books.
how can i add the products to books

We have been struggling with this issue too…it's crucial in SR object when user needs to search the whole company products database even if his book definitions should allow him access only to specific product/s.
As Venky mentioned it seems that Product is a "global" object grantable to all, in terms of visibility the workaround we came up with is to not allow access to this object to specific role/s and assign them with a separate Product search layout where we have only one read only field available in both targeted search fields and search results layout sections.

Hi, I see I haven't had any responses but these problems haven't been fixed.
I still haven't been able to transfer purchases from my phone to my comp so consequently have stopped purchasing on my phone.
I bought a couple of albums recently via itunes on my comp, and tried to tranfer them to my phone via a playlist, but the sync often crashes. One album transferred except for one song, and the other hasn't at all. What happens is that when I autofill from a playlist it often hangs for ages on the first song and then I have to quit the application altogether as nothing happens for ages. Basically, the whole Itunes software freezes.
After this I find it hasn't transferred any songs, but they do appear greyed out on my phone, which means it has transferred some basic data such as the titles, but not the song itself. When I try to repeat the process to complete the transfer Itunes tells me that it can't transfer because the songs are already on the phone, but they are not!! I can't click or remove on the greyed out items, so now I have a couple of almost full albums on my computer that I can't tranfer or install on my phone, and a whole bunch of greyed out songs on my phone that I can't play or remove!
The rest of the problems as above still stand. I downloaded the latest itunes OS updates but nothing's changed. I haven't done the very latest iphone update yet though because it says you need to make sure your stuff is backed up, and I don't want to lose the purchases I made on the phone that I can't transfer to my comp. I'm planning on uninstalling itunes completely and reinstalling but I have little faith that this will fix the issue.
Can someone please help at all?? I'm so sick of this!

How to add production Version field in COOIS to selection options?

Dear Experts,
Need your suggestion for below issue raised by client.
1) As per client, he was running COOIS with the selection option of a production version. But currently he is not able to see this selection while executing a COOIS t-code.-----> Kindly guide me on its possibilities & necesary checks.
2) If I want to correct it & want to add Production Version field in COOIS report what steps I should take?

Really thanks for your mail. Please see below comments-
1) I checked the transaction COOIS & also told user to select Production Version after executing the report by giving Plant code & dates. But user asking for this field before execution.
As per your suggestion I checked in Header level of first screen but its not showing me also.
2) I am using ECC6.0 version
3) One finding from my side- This is I am checking only selecting Production Orders. But when I am selecting only Planned order then Production version can be seen in first screen under Repetitive Mfg. section.
so kindly tell me why this not showing when Production order selected?

How to add "Product Unit" while entering a new price for a product?

Hi All,
I recently created a product in CRM.(in web ui) .Then I navigated to the Price assignment block anc clicked on New.In that under the "rate" heading there is a field "Product Unit" for which I have no value in search help maintained..Now, how do I maintain these values here .
I used the t-code COMMPR01 from one of the forum answers but could not get much help.
Could anyone please help me out with this query?

How to add Product User Statuses?

I need to add new user status values in the Sales Status list for the Products object.
The standard only has 2 statuses : blocked with error, blocked with warning. (see field Status in the Sales data tab of the Commpr01 transaction in CRM gui)
I tried to play with the status management entry of the SPRO (CRM/master data/Products/Status management) : i created a status profile, assigned it to the Master data object. But, the values do not appear in the list.
Since, our CRM is connected to an ECC system, and the products are actually replicated from ECC, I also tried to change the values in ECC thanks to the menu Logistics general/Material master/settings for key fields/data relevant for S&D/Define sale statuses : i added a few statutes, then relicated the table TVMS to CRM. I can then see that the values have been replicated to the CRM table (CRMC_TVMS). But, i still cannot the values in the drop down list box of the sales status in the Product master.
Any idea anyon?

The status profile can only be viewed in new UI not in SAPGUI.
Please perform the following steps
1. Go to transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB
2. open the component PRDHS
3. Go to the view PRDHS/Header
4. In the configuration add the field 'Status Profile' to the view.
Now test the again.This should solve the issue.
Also ensure that the sap note : 1249450 is implemented in the system .

How to add products to sections dynamically

I was curious to know if there is any means by which we can control the display of products added to a section.
Our requirement is, based on certain inputs from customer, we need to show relevant products to customer (Guided selling).
I was planning to add all products to a section and then based on some inputs from customer, control the products displayed to customer. I have used customizable layout for the section and included a new jsp for middle1 part. This additional JSP is used to capture the inputs from customer.
I checked iStore api and could not find any methods under Section class to set visibility flag or add new products dynamically.
Please suggest any alternatives that you may have used for such a case.

Guided selling can be implemented using Oracle Configurator. You need to implement Oracle Configurator and integrate with iStore to provide it to end customers.

How to add vcard to address book

This is a feature proposal.. I just successfully added a vcf file address to the address book.
It would be a nice feature to right click on an attached VCF file in an e-mail attachments, and add the vcf to the address book.

As a kludge, you may be able to save the vcf as a file then import this file into the Address Book. I have long been baffled by Thunderbird's reluctance to work seamlessly with vCards.

provides more import/export options, but I suspect it may actually interfere with recognition and importing of attached vCards.
BTW, do you habitually view messages in the Message Pane? Do you have any better experience with your vCard if you double-click the message to view it in either a tab or its own new window?;-)

How to add groups from address book to phone?

I copied contacts from phone to isync and then in address book I created groups which I then added contacts to.
However when I did a sync with phone it did not add these groups

I have the same problem. I'm on a Nokia E51 and it synchronizes the individual contacts fine.
Starting point: None of my contacts where parted in groups.
2: I made a group in my adressbook called "FIR" wich is my studygroup.
3: I can still synchronize the contacts. But the group ("FIR") i've created does not show up on my phone!?
Do I have to make the "FIR" group on the phone myself? I figured it would be easier to make the group in AdressBoook and then Synch it.

I updated my GS last night from 3.2.1 to the new 5. I did not realize that it would delete my contact list!!! All of my contacts are still in my address book on my computer. Is there a way to transfer them to my phone?
Also, I tried to restore from backup, but the back up was from so recent, meaning there would be no contacts.

If it is prompting you that it will replace the data on your iPhone, then that is typically the result of syncing with a different computer. The only way you can bypass that is to replace the media on your device and then sync. Now it will only replace items that would be considered purchased items like music, movies, TV shows and Apps and would not delete any pictures from your iPhone. Alternatively you can setup a Shared Photo Stream and then add the Photos there without syncing your iPhone with your computer. Check out the articles below for more information.

Book of Business-Tagging Users to Book

Hi all,
I have a requirement like restricting set of users to view only active accounts while other users can see all the accounts.I implemented Book of Business concept for the same.I added all active accounts in a book.It is working fine.But the issue here is ,the set of users who can see all the records are less than the users who can see only active records.Since users can only be manually added under book,this process is a tedious one.Could anyone please suggest some best method to implement the same.

WHy the admin and sales overhead will be deited to cost of product. The cost of product should include only the factory related direct cost and overhead cost .. not the sales and admin ovehead. exp. for those treat them as period expense and pass on the same to COPa and there those can be analysed there..
