How to adjust the text in input field

Hi Expert,
New in VC development. Can someone guide how to adjust the text in input field? Because of long text length it is not displaying fully in visual composer iView so user are not able to see the entire text in input fields

I assume that you have already tried different options perent in Label Postion for the field.
If none of these options meet your requirement then you can try the following workaround:
In the display properties, select label position as no label.
In the form view add a new UI Control for Plain Text or HTML text and change its Label to "Material Number".
Now place this new UI Control in before your actual Input field such that it appears as the field label.

Hi swathi,
For this you have to create a simple data type. No need of writing a code.
Go to Dictionaries -> Local Dictionary -> Data Type - > Simple Type - > Right click and "Create Simple Type".
Here you should create a Simple type with String as built-in Type. Here you will also see the Length Constraints option.
Set the value of maximum length and minimum length. In your case set the value of maximum length to 10. At runtime this will not allow the user to enter more than 10 characters.
Now create an attribute and bind it to this newly created simple type. Bind the value of the input field with this particular attribute.

The Field showing in the infotype 1 is FORPR.
Change the text of this Field in CMOD.
CMOD ->Go to ->tect Enhancements->keywords-> Change ->FORPR
Change the text and check again.

How to read the contents of Input Field created via Screen Painter?

I have a module program / dialog program, on my second screen, I created an input/outbox field via screen painter of course,
now in my PAI, how can I read the contents of the input/outbox field?
Let's say the name of my input/outbox field is: P_WEKRS. Note: Get Parameter and Set Parameter is ticked.
PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
LOOP WITH CONTROL TC_DATA.
MODULE MODIFY_DATA.
ENDLOOP.
I want to get the value of the input/outbox field before my loop in table control? I thought that it will work like normal parameter in non-dialog programs.

Add the Bellow Module code in you Driver Program.
MODULE read_or_change_value.
DATA: P_WEKRS like " the Field on Screen. Must be the same name as on SCREEN. and Type must be same too.
" Here you will find the Value in that Variable or if you will change the Value here you will find it change on Screen
END MODULE.

I had a similar issue in my Project.
Please verify if the SMOD enhancement MBCF0002 (EXIT_SAPMM07M_001) is active in your system.
If this is the case, verify from two angles:
a) Whether the Enhancement was accidentally activated - If yes, then De-activate the same
b) If there is some logic coded in the User Exit, but, the Text is somehow not determined...even the existing content in the text field (input to EXIT_SAPMM07M_001) will get vanished.
Hope that your problem will be resolved by this. Pls reward points.

How to change the text of a user defined field in dynamic selections?

Logical Database PSJ is used by t code CJI3 - we added a couple of user fields into the dynamic selections of CJI3.
Now - how to change the text of this user filed (USR01 of structure PRSP_R in logical database PSJ)?
Found an OSS note - 86980 - that tells that this is not possible.
But when we read the documentation on the user field (CJI3 - dynamic selections - double click on user field - F1), it shows the following text:
User-defined field in which you can enter general information with a length of up to 20 characters.
Dependencies
The names (key words) for user-defined fields depend on the field key.
Now the question is where to change the field key..

whenever i change the language auomatically the text has to change when the text exists for that
language.
this is working fine, but when the Text exist , the text editor should be blank.
But it is carrying the Previous editor text itself into it .

How to pull the text for InfoObject in APD

Hi All,
I have a requirement where in I have to combine the data from 2 InfoObjects using an APD based on some conditions.
I need to bring in the text for these infoObjects and there attributes too.
The proposed solution from my side for pulling the text is
u2022 Getting the text from the text table u2013 this is working fine but the performance is not good.
u2022 Making a query above the object and taking the output as the APD input. Now, in the query , I have selected the display option u2018key and textu2019 but when I am using this query as input for the APD, I am not getting the text.
Please let me know how to get the text using the query output and/ or are there any other approach to get the text of an infoObject.

Hi,
It is possible to read the text tables of the infobject, for eg In material you can use table /BI0/TMATERIAL
You have to select a Datasource as the 'Database table and use /BI0/TMATERIAL as one of the underlying tables and then choose another datasource with /BI0/MMATERIAL as the underlying table.
Now that you have all the data that is needed you can use the join to connect the above two datasources .Select the join condition (material in this case) and the fields that you would like to be have to the next level from the individual tables that you have selected earlier.
I guess if you work in this way you might get the results that you are looking forward quite easily without writting code.

I have coded all things in the program lines and in that i am retriveing the long texts.
I am getting the text lines in my internal table clearly, the thing is that I am not able to pass these lines to the text.
I have to print the trouble ticket. in that the notes log I have to pass.

There are a few ways to do it. If you need to take all of the text in the text type, in your SF text element choose "Include Text".
Populate the fields with the data that corresponds to the text type. It is similar to the interface to the FM "Read_Text.

Encase any variables with the "&" symbol.
If you have already coded the call to the FM "READ_TEXT" and loaded the text into an internal table, create a loop and loop through the itab. Inside of the loop create a text element and add a variable in the text element for the field you are looking to output.

How to maintained the Text language for CKF keyfigure

Dear All,
Please let me know how to maintained the text language for CKF I am using only keyfigures in CKF.
Issue is text is not showing in Spain language when user exeuted the report (longin Spain) for CKF keyfigures .
As per report design there are formuals and direct keyfigures and CKF has defined and we keep it under in Row struture in the report.
After exeuted the report (Login Spain)Text has converted in all languages along with spain except for CKF keyfigures.
Issue in text CKF's:
There is a main CKF (Cost) under this again we defined two sub CKF's those are total cost and average cost. We able to see the text in Spain language for Main CKF(cost) and also cheked in RSZELTTXT(Texts of reporting component elements) for the same.
We can able to see the text in all languages for main CKF(cost) and enteries are there in RSZELTTXT table.
We can see only the text in english for total cost and average cost and also enteris are there only in EN in RSZELTTXT table.
It would help to me if any one can answer my question.

Which field are you thinking of in particular? Are you wanting to increase or decrease the length?
Some fields are used so extensively that a change to their length will mean adjusting many tables, some of them potentially very large, and hence taking a long time to adjust.
Some standard SAP programs expect certain fields to be of specific lengths and won't work if the length is changed.
Some screens could cease to work.
If you decrease length, then you could lose data.
