How to allow multiple values in a single blank cell in WebI report

I am working in BO XIR2. I have a scenario as follows.
In a single cell (blank cell from template) i need to display multiple contact persons. When I drag the contact person name into the blank cell, I am getting an error: MULTIVALUE). Please let me know how to use a function so that I can show two or three contact person names in a single blank cell.
I tried to use Replace and Char function as follows to bring Carriage Return functionality to the cell.
Replace([Contact Person]; ";" ; Char(13)) but this did not work.

I know this thread has been answered. I recently came across a scenario where I happen to populate multiple values in a single blank cell(from templates). But the only catch being that if user enters multiple values for a prompt you can show them in a single cell eg: =UserResponse("Enter value(s) for Branch:"). would be the formula for the blank cell. Afetr the user selects three values say A, B,C, webi puts it in the format of A;B;C. in a single cell.
In your case try giving that as a prompt to the user or answer that multi prompt some how and when u use the above formula it should suffice your requirement.

The rest two values are not shown. Please help what to do.

If I understand your issue, you should set the vertical elasticity of the repeating frame to 'Variable' or 'Expand'. It is likely set to 'Fixed'.

What is the prolem you are facing if you split the single date param as two parameters say startdate and enddate?
If you pass as single string then you might have to split the same at reciever end.
Are you trying any thing specific?

How to retrieve multiple values from a DB Adapter to a Web Service

Hello,
I'm creating a login WS that receives the username and password and returns the user status, full name and a set of permissions (the number of permissions varies among users).
In order to do that i've created a DBAdapter that is calling a PL/SQL procedure. This DBAdapter is connected to the login Web Service through a mediator.
I have two problems:
1 - I don't know the type of variable that the PL\SQL procedure should return. Like I said I need to retrieve an undefined number of values from a table (user permissions). How can I do this inside a PL\SQL procedure? What kind of structure should i return?
2 - How can i assign a multiple value variable (the permission variable) in the mediator? Is the mediator going to identify that this is variable is multiple valued and add automatically a for-each statement?
The Oracle DB version im using is the 11.1.0.7.0 and the Oracle SOA Suite 11.1.1.3.0.

I've created a userdefined type and sucessfully retrievied from the PL\SQL procedure multiple values. I have also mapped this values with the web service.
Even though everything's working fine i would like to understand if it is also possible to use the XMLType to return these values. I ask this cause I don't no if by returning a XMLType i can explicitly map the XML elements inside the mediator component.
If possible what are the main advantages/disavantages between using XMLType and Userdefined Types?

How to insert multiple values from a single LOV box...?(cont)

Hi..I have a medical form and under the conclusions box, I have set up a LOV with various values. That part works fine.
The thing is I do not want to pick a single value. The format which I write in the conclusions in that box is
1. "............"
2. " "
3...etc...
But when I go to choose the 2nd value, it replaces the first one I had inserted. Any tips please??

-Well thats the thing, If I try to add more than one value into ONE text field when I open up the LOV..it just replaces the first value with teh second value. Right now wihtout the LOV this is the format it gets stored into the database. The conclusions are typed in manually and when i query from sql plus it comes the way I typed it in. For example:
1. Mild concentric LVH
2. Normal LV systolic function ; EF 75 %
3. Diastolic dysfunction
I just copy/pasted that from sql. This is saved in a column in a table named ProcedureSummary. I want to insert values exactly this way into one field. Except when i do that currently with the LOV, it replaces the old value with a new value.
I hope i make sense, sorry for the bother!

How to get Multiple Values for a single Variable in BPS.......

I have a layout for planning, where I can plan for 5 days of the week. I also have a day column (yesterday) where I have the actual values. Users want to edit/foecast the next 5 days values. I am using a Variable to get the Date column which uses the System Date. However, since I am getting just one date in the Function Module (Code given below), the remaining days are greyed out and I can not enter the forecast values. I would like the same variable to get a series of dates in the same function module. What changes do I nee dto make in the ABAP code so that the remaining columns (Date) becaoe available for editing??
The FM code I have to get "Today's Date" is as follows:

What I understand you need to return those dates from function module using parameter ETO_CHARSEL , right? If so just use this code:
ls_charsel-seqno = 1.
ls_charsel-sign = 'I'.
ls_charsel-opt = 'BT'. "we are giving ranges, so days between...
ls_charsel-CHANM = I_chanm.
ls_charsel-low = sy-datum - 1. "...first day is yesterday
ls_charsel-high = sy-datum + 4. "...and last day is 4 days from today
insert ls_Charsel into table eto_charsel.
This way you provide 5 days starting from yesterday till 4 days from today.

I have created Planning function in Modeler and it has one parameter(Variable represents = Multiple single values).
When executing the planning function by create planning seq. in the web template : I see value of variable store data like ...
A.) input one value -> V1
B.) input three values -> V1;V2;V3
This function execute completely in web.
However, I want to use the planning function in workbook(Excel).
The value of variable can't input V1;V2;V3... I don't know how to pass multiple values from workbook to parameter(Multiple single values type) in planning function ?

Iam able to get the results when I am selecting one value..
and also I am able to handle multiple values the in the query by using IN :Parameter, but seems when we select more than one value from the parameter drop down i think the Bi Publisher is sending the values in concatenated form something ilke
ex: "'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'" ,and when trying to display the parameters values in the output, its throwing the error as 'missing right paranthesis' ....on the whole do you have any solution which would handle
1.Single selection.
2.Multiple selection.
3.'ALL' Values.
4.Separating the concatenated string into individual strings and dispaly them on the output of the report..etc..in case of Mulitple selection.
Ex:
Concatenated String from BI Publisher:"'ACCOUNT','HR','SALES'"
Expected Output on the report:ACCOUNT,HR,SALES

Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?

I have a Report that Contains 2 Parameters, @Customer & @Area. When trying to set up the Available Values for @Area, I'm having issues using multiple values for one Label, i.e. = "4006" Or "4610"
One of the Filters in the Report is an Operation number, which is the [OPERATION] field, which is setup as a filter on the Tablix referencing the @Area parameter.
PROBLEM: I cannot retrieve any data when trying to use the ‘Or’ Operator here. If I simply put “4006” or “4610” I retrieve data, but when trying to combine it returns no data.
Example, I need to allow a user to select ‘Chassis Incoming’, which would include data from Operations 4006 & 4610.
QUESTION:
Any way to pass Multiple Values for a single Label in the Parameter?
I realize the typical solution may be to use ‘Multi-Value’ selection, but in this case we want the User to select the Area and the multiple values for Filtering will be automatically determined for them. Otherwise, they are subject to not getting

You may need to fiddle around with the Separator depending on whether SQL Server inserts a space between the comma and next value.

Passing multiple values to a single input parameter

I have a Microstrategy query successfully passing input parameter to a calculation view. For example I can pass a movement type to a material movements calculation view input parameter. However if I try to pick more than one movement type the query then fails;
Generated SQL that works looks like this;

Ravi, also to answer one of your questions about how this will work in Microstrategy; I just heard back from my Microstrategy developer and he is trying MSTR Freeform SQL query with syntax like this;
select (sumPAR_TEST.TOTALQUANTITY TOTALQUANTITY
from "_SYS_BIC"."MyPackage/CA_TEST_PASS_PARAMETER"
('PLACEHOLDER' =('$$MoveType$$', '[Movement Type]')) PAR_TEST
In this example [Movement Type] is the microstrategy prompt. Unfortunately though it translates like this which is missing extra single quotes around each value;
select     sum(PAR_TEST.TOTALQUANTITY) TOTALQUANTITY
from     "_SYS_BIC"."development.pr1959/CA_TEST_PASS_PARAMETER"
('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$MoveType$$', ''101', '102''))   PAR_TEST
instead of what we need which is;
('PLACEHOLDER' = ('$$MoveType$$', '''101'', ''102'''))   PAR_TEST
So at this point we are not sure if this will be possible or not.

The answer to your question depends on what you ant to do with the DVD.
Do you want a DVD menu, slide show etc.
iPhoto will allow you to burn straight to a DVD. Just select the album you want to burn then go to share in the tool bar and select Burn.
