How to assess future volume in XI ?

Hi,
I'm planning to install XI. I'm looking for methodology, tips & hints to calculate the future volume of data exchanged through XI. I know exactly what I will exchange (data from and to SAP ERP).
Is there any available info about average size of SAP objects,.... so that I calculate if I will have a monthly volume of 1, 10 or 100GB ?
I'm not looking for Sizing servers to run XI, but a methodology to assess/forecast my total monthly message volume.

How do I increase volume significantly

I have video I recorded on VHS tape from tv, transferred it to DVD, and onto my iMac, into iMovie. I want to upload these to YouTube, but the volume is very low. I know how to double the volume, but would like to still make it much higher. I suppose I could double it within Inspector, duplicate the project, and go through the same process to double it again (assuming that works), but is there an easier way?

Another thing to try:
Use Share/Export Using QuickTime.
Select an audio only codec such as MP3 or AAC.
Open the resulting file in GarageBand. You can increase the volume, but you will also be amplifying the noise, so maybe GB can help with this.
Export from GB to iTunes..
You can then drag the audio track back into your project from the music browser.

There are no sounds except on the handset earpiece for the dialer buttons when you dial a number; is this what you are speaking of? All sound settings are found under Prefs, Sounds & Alerts, then choose Ring Tones, Phone Alerts, Calendar, Messaging, System, then choose the settings you desire.

how do I change volume on start up chime? For some reason the volume is very low, almost inaudible. I have external speakers.

The usual setting is based on the last-used Volume in:
System Preferences > Sound
in the running system. Often, just setting the System Volume high enough will mean the chime is at a similar Volume.
The problem is that now sounds and speakers are under software control, and muting at Startup and what Volume sounds should be played through what ouputs at Startup has become more complex.
