How to attach a drawing for a material to BOM? Is it possible?

hi, all SAP experts,
for creating document i went in cv01n but i don't found any tab or space where i will attach a drawing.So please tell me how to attach a drawing for a material to BOM?

Hi,
First inCV01N transaction create document with proper document type which document u want to attach and continue,
In the Orginals subscreen click it on the open original and upload the file which is in ur local system.
Once u upload click it on the Object Link tab, In the Object link tab select the material master sub tab.
In this sub tab enter the material number and plant and save.
Go to material master -->Basic data1 view --> In this view click it on the basic data text tab, it will take u document sub tab in that select the document which u have attached and click it on the detail infomation, there u can view the document.
Note: For Document maintainance in the SAP needs separate server.

Can you tell me what was your solution?
I tried to attach the existing search help to field BEDNR, but i can't.

Unfortunately, you cannot create your own PLD layouts for your addons. Instead, most developers opt for a third party report writer such as Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services to provide reports.
If you search this forum you'll find a lot of useful information on how to integrate Crystal with your addon.

Hello Shridhar,
You can do it by crating a material master. Then go to the additional data-->document data.
Specify your document type , where you have attched your drawing.
In this way you can attach your drawing to the particular matrial and it data.
To avoid unauthorized access:
Goto pfcg , create role and profile.
use follwoing auhtorisation object and restrict the user.
Authorization Object C_DRAD_OBJ (Object Link)
The following table shows authorization object C_DRAD_OBJ. This object controls which users can process which document info records, based on a combination of activity, object, and status.
Fields     Possible Values     Description
ACTVT
(Activity)    01                     Create
                02                     Change
                03                      Display
                06                    Delete
DOKOB    You must enter the data base table for the objects here (for example, MARA for material record).

How to extend Sales org for a material being Changed

Hi Experts,
i need to extend sales org , distribution Channel for a material .
my table look like this and having 6 fields shown below
1 2 3 4 5 6
Sales org | Des | Distn Chnl | desc | Copy from So | Copy from Dstn Chnl
If the user enters the existing value in Copy From SO and Copy Fron Distn Chnl . Then i need to copy all the values corresponding to the Existing SO and Distrn Chnl to the Newly entered Sales Org .
the table im displaying in ALV , if user perss F4 in copy From SO and Copy From Distn , i need to show the existing values for the material being changed , this is working fine and i am able to get the existing values.
After user selects one of the existing value for SO and Distrn channel , i need to copy all the values to newly created So and distrn Chnl .
i dont know how to proceed . Please help me to solve this problem.

You can use AET to extend the sales area data of BP. However, it wont add the fields automatically in GUI, But the generated fields are available in the relevant DB tables.
BP GUI transaction is no more supported . Im not sure why you want to work on GUI.

But if I want to see for all 1000 material routing with all operation stages/activity , How to see ?

When I try to create a PO for a Material having Material Master and Vendor Master maintained but no Info Record, system does not accept the Net Price and the Price Condition also does not appear. Is there any way to create a PO for a Material having Net Price but without Info Record?

Hi,
The first time you create a PO for a material/vendor combination, then system will not prompt any price as info record or valid conditions have not been found.
The next time you create a PO for the same material, then the price will be defaulted/found from the order price history from the info record(As info record would be reated after the first PO is created) and the latest PO price for the mat/ven combination would be found.
Hope you are clear with this..Any doubts revert back.
