How to avoid "App requires Adobe Flash." error message when Adobe Flash is already installed??!!

On my new Lenovo Yoga 3 PC laptop I am trying to install Kayak and Pandora apps but once these apps are downloaded, whenever I try to open them, an error message pops up saying: ADOBE FLASH REQUIRED. The Kayak (or Pandora) app requires Adobe Flash. Installation is free. "Install" or "Not Now".
I have installed Adobe Flash 10 times and rebooted etc. but I still cannot use those apps because of this error message.
This is driving me crazy.
I have checked to confirm that the newest version of Adobe Flash IS installed and working on my computer.
What can I do?????

Typically when software applications are using an embedded browser window that wants Flash, they're looking for the ActiveX version used in Internet Explorer. If you've been installing Flash Player for Firefox, that's not going to help.
Fire up Internet Explorer, go to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer and follow the prompts. This should resolve the issue for you.
If you're already using Internet Explorer on a Windows 8 or higher machine, then Flash Player is already a built-in component of IE. The problems you're running into may be specific to the intersection of those websites and Internet Explorer 11. (IE11 makes a bunch of changes to how the browser is identified, which may ultimately cause the sites to fail to detect Flash.) In that instance, the easiest workaround is probably to just use Google Chrome - http://www.google.com/chrome/ while we wait for the world to adjust to Internet Explorer's new approach.

Error message when running Flash MX 2004

I have installed Flash MX 2004 on my PowerBook and when I open it, I get the following error message:
"The target flash player "__First Run" is not installed. The standard Flash player will be used instead."
Then Flash crashes.
Any ideas?

Please file a bug at https://bugbase.adobe.com, including the Firefox crash log file. To obtain the Firefox crash log file, do the following:
Launch Firefox
Navigate to Tools > Options > Advanced > Data Choices
In the Crash Reporter section, make sure Enable Crash Reporter check-box is selected. If not, select it and click OK
The next time the crash occurs, type about:crashes in the address field
A list of crashes will display
Click on the link that corresponds with the time of the crash. When the contents display, verify that it is for the same crash. Include the link to the crash log file in the bug record.

How do I fix "OS requirements not met" error message when installing CS6 on Windows 8.1?

I am trying to install Design Standard CS6 on a Windows 8.1 Machine 64 bit (Toshiba Click-2 Pro, i7, 8 GB RAM, 1920 x 1080 resolution)
I get Warning DW066 and DW065, saying "OS Requirements not met" and "Display Requirements not met" for various things related to Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign CS6 but I don't believe this is true.
Acrobat Professional simply has ERROR DW050 - install failed, and doesn't show up at all.

Dear Jeff - Thanks for that - I had seen those notes on the adobe help site, but, the instructions given don't seem to apply exactly to Windows 8.1 as when I looked them up, I couldn't find the network path specified in the help document you reference:
Windows 32 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\
Windows 64 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\
because on my windows 8.1 machine, in the "Adobe" folder there was no "installer" folder.
Since I wasn't sure how to find the error log, My first "Troubleshooting" move was to de-install the program (Adobe Design Standard CS6) and then re-download the file from the adobe site here: http://www.adobe.com/downloads/other-downloads.html
However, at the moment, the problem seems to be ok, so I guess that perhaps that fixed the problem? Fingers crossed!
For future reference (or in case someone else is looking at this posting with a similar issue?) do you know how to find the error log on an installation on Windows 8.1? Thanks!

Error Message when downloading flash player

When I try to download flash player, I get a screen with the
error message "this object has been blocked." When I look at my
browser's (firefox) error console, it says "Warning: Unknown
property '_padding-right'. Declaration dropped.

Error message when downloading flash?

I am trying to download flash but every time I try the installation is stopped by an error message telling me that a more current software version is needed. I go to the directed site to get the more current version but get the same version and the same error message. It is an ugly circle. Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks.

Error message when loading FLASH site in ie on PC (swfobject)

Hello...I sudes "swfobject" to embed my Flash site, and have also alt. XHTML content representing the site for non-Flash users and for SEO purposes. Everything loads and wroks just fine from the MAC, but some users (on IE, with PC), are getting the fllowing error message:

I had a quick look at your code and found;
The issue happens on page load and is not confined to the button.
When I copy| paste the page code into my browser I can load it without errors… this suggests a script error of some kind.

This comment is suspicious but I can't see that style sheet to test it… did you comment it out to test a font and forget to put it back?

For Flash Player, I would recommend downloading and installing the following file:

I'm not sure what to do for Norton, you'll want to contact them or post on their forum for assistance. For IE, I'd recommend rebooting and trying to update again. Error Message when playing Flash into PowerPoint 2003

I have placed a Flash file within a PowerPoint presentation,
and it runs and looks good on my computer. However, as it is a
presentation that I am developing, the file needs to go to another
person. This other person is having an error when trying to run the
PPT presetation that I built. This person tried it on other
machines as well, with mixed results. The error message in PPT is
this:
"Some controls on this presentation can't be activated. They
might not be registered on this computer."
After that, all Flash within PPT is disabled. Has anyone
received this message before and know a fix for it?

It's impossible to scratch or damage a disc image that has not yet been burned to DVD-R media. But if you happen to have media already inserted into the S-Drive then the computer gives priority to the inserted media by default.
Is it possible you already have media in the drive while also attempting to read from a disc image? If so, remove the media first. If not, I have no idea.

I get an error message when I am almost done installing itunes. how can I fix this?

Why do I keep getting an error message for CS6 beta when I try to extract and install, message file missing?

Did you successfully download the file and check file sizes match? Do you extract ok? PC, I assume? What OS are you using?
How far did you get in the installation? Did you select TRY rather than enter serial number? Did you enter your Adobe ID?
By the way, you should change your name to something other than your email as the bots will go nuts when they find that and you may get spam.

HT1925 I am getting a fatal error message when I try to un install itunes from Control Panel on my PC, so now I cannot un install it at all, any suggestions?

That sounds like a permissions problem. Vista uses that Trusted Installer account to install software. I don't know why it wouldn't have the correct permissions, though.
Make sure you have FULL control over all the C: drive, and try turning off UAC during the install:

HT4623 error message when trying to download and install iOS7 on iphone 4s

I have tried sevrel time to download and install the iOS7 on my iPhone 4s and i just keep getting an error message. is any one else having ths problem?
