How to call KM content in independent HTML page?

Hi,
My requirement is to call KM contents in simple HTML page,
Actually I want to show documents from specific location of KM into HTML page which is nowhere related to EP pages, it will be totally independent page.
Can anyone come across the same requirements?

Hi,
i think you can call KM content with in an independent HTML page by using the tags in HTML ,href="target path of your KM content" and target="_blank" OR "_new","_top" any of these you can use based on your requirement.But i think you shud have to upload your html document under km content with in ur portal environment.As you said your are not attaching that html page to portal you can call your KM content by specifyng url of your km content, otherwise you can make use of quick link property of page. Hi,
   You can add a link to your HTML page and set the anchor reference to the absolute URL of your WD application.
   The absolute URL of your WD application looks like
http://<j2ee server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<wd component name>/<application name>
   So your HTML code will look like:
<a href="http://<j2ee server>:<port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/<wd component name>/<application name>">Link</a>

Calling a servlet in a HTML page

I'm new to servlets so i'm trying to create some simple applications to understand how it all works. The thing i'm trying to do is calling a servlet in a HTML page. I've already installed a Tomcat web server and I've created a servlet called Hello.

I suppose both file are in their approriate directories, but my class file still has the class extension. Do I need to change this? I hope that someone can help me.

the servlet wasn't in a package, so I changed that. It seems that I get an other error now:

How can i call a javascript function in an html page were my flash catalyst swf is?

I think you will need to import the catalyst fxp into flash or flash builder and add action script to invoke the javascript.

How do You set -noverify in an HTML page that calls an applet

I have an applet which runs fine from inside JBuilder when I specify a
-noverify switch in the debugger. (java -noverify myapplet.class)
Without this switch, I get a verification exception.
So I need to specify the -noverify switch from inside a webpage so that when the client runs it, he does not get the same exception.
The question is how do you pass -noverify to JVM from an HTML page that uses <applet> tag and javascript?

Odd, because I work on an applet that gets built with 1.4. We have 30,000+ clients who use it every day, and I'm sure we don't tell them about setting -noverify switches in their plug-in control panel, and we don't (cuz we can't) set it in the applet (object/embed, actually) tag.
Of course, I suppose it could be a backwards compatibility issue going from compiling in newer version than it's run in.

This is a tricky one, but it may just be that I don't understand the syntax,
Situation:
I have an Edge Animate composition that is acting as an interface and container into which other content is embedded using an iFrame. I have several functions in Stage > creationComplete, and for one of the embedded content pieces, I want to include a button that calls one of the Edge functions.
Challenge:
I have read about referencing elements within Edge when it is the Edge file that is embedded on an HTML page, but I cannot figure out how to reference Edge in the reverse.
I have tried these options where headerselect(page) is my function:
AdobeEdge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");
window.top.Edge.getComposition("EDGE-531849691").getStage().headerSelect("community");

Looks like someone has already responded to your post. Did that answer your
question? In their suggestion, they indicated that you could actually
created the jplayer instance within the Edge composition, and therefore
have more direct access to its events. If that will not work for you, it
may help to know how your page is laid out. Where is the Edge file in
relation to the jplayer and how do you intend for them to interact? Does
the player need to be outside of Edge for some reason?

How to display file contents on a web page

On unix platform I have created a class that can read the contents of a file and display them to the standard output. But now i want to display these file contents on a web page through jsp. On JSP code I have imported this class and want to assign a record from a file and write it to the screen using html. I think the class needs to be modified in order to return the string record read from a file so that im able to access it from a jsp and assign it to a variable the I can display it on the screen. Can someone help me with these code?

i have to populate the table depending on the item selected in the combo box.
for this i am using javascript to get the value of combo box onClick
then i have to call some function thru jsp to get the data and then i have to populate the table with thst into from java script
how can i do this, i.e populating html table from java script

I need to call AmImpl method, before rendering the page.(I heard like we can do it in task_flow_config.xml by using method_Invoke operation,But I am not sure about How it is going to work, also i need to know the implementation part,,,help pls )

Inside that method I have some logic, where I will setting the BindVariable of my one ViewObject and I need to run the ViewOblect,So that DataShuold be available while page loading.

I have use case like,
In the search page I have 2 LOV dropdowns say LOV1 and LOV2. Both list of values are created based on the independent View Objects based on the Query.
LOV2 VO query is having the Bind Variable, for that Bind variable will be getting the value from the one of the AM method based on the user logged in.
Also I need to display LOV2 dropdown in the page when user selects LOV1 as a 'SCM', for others it should be in hidden state.
As per requirement I have to display LOV2 only for LOV1 value as 'SCM'. So I dont want to use valueChangeListner() for this.
Instead I want populate LOV2 value before page rendering(because in that time i will be having all the parameter to populate ) by executing LOV2 VO Query.
Once in search page user selects LOV1 as 'SCM', I should display 'LOV2' values in the dropdown.
If i execute LOV2 VO in the AMImpl method say A() before page rendering ,then if user select LOV1 as 'SCM', will same data available in the dropdown (LOV2 dropdown is based on the LOV2VO)??
Can u pls suggest me how can i render ,LOV2 when LOV1 as 'SCM' by using 'rendered' property without having valueChangeListner??
pls suggest me the right approach as per my use case..

You need the AS infrastructure if you want to use connections. If you do not intend using connections, you do not require the infrastructure.
Note that you cannot pass in passwords in the URL any longer. You do not need to pass passwords if you pass in a Discoverer connection id (but then again - if you don't use connections, then you do need to still pass in the connection information - username, password, database, language, EUL)

I don't know if it can be done but i'd like to create cross ref. or link from an html page (using robo#7) to a pdf file - in a spesific location i.e heading/bookmark inside the pdf. Is it possible? & if so, how do I do it?

Hi Tali.
I believe it is, although I've never tried. The syntax is the same as for bookmarks in a HTM file. You just specify the URL for the PDF with #bookmark on the end (where bookmark = the PDF bookmark name). For example <a href=http://www.adobe.com/prodlist.pdf#bookmark>.
