  • Cant delete active JOB from SM37

Hi guys, i need to delete a job from sm37, when i try to do it the following msg is displayed.
cant delete HR job, the job status is active.
When a job is deleted, a check is made as to whether the job does not
currently have the status 'active' of 'ready'. It would cause
unquantifiable problems if a job with this status was deleted. This
message indicates that the SAP system has already started the job to be
    deleted.
    any ideas?

    Hello,
In SM37 try to stop the job before and if doing it you can't delete the job, go to transaction SM50 and try to stop it here (Process->Cancel withot core).

  • How to cancel all jobs from printer

We have network printer printing through a server, but some times some user tries to print the job locally instead of using the print server. In this case even if i clear all the jobs from the server the printer job sent to the printer trough tcp/ip  from the users computer remains hanging in the printer. In case the localy printed job is wrong or incompatible it hangs the HP printer with 49.4C02 error and there is no way to track down who sent the wrong job and printer At last the only option remains is to change the printers ip address which resolves the issue or if the user himself cancels the job from his computer. example printer : HP Color LaserJet 4700

  • How to cancel print job?

My HP 1200 won't stop printing.  It started printing gobbydygook - 1 line a page - and it won't stop.  The document has been deleted on my computer, and the printer ran out of paper.  Two weeks later, when I add paper, it starts over again.  I unplugged it, and replugged it and it still wants to print this.  What do I do?

Make sure the document is really deleted in the print queue.  You did not say what operating system, I'll assume some Windows.
Start > Control Panel > Printers.  Double-click the printer, select File > Cancel all print jobs.
    Now, restart your PC.
Finally, turn off the printer, unplug power from the back of the printer (not the wall), wait 30 seconds and plug back in and turn on.

  • How to cancel an active/running job in BW?

    Hi All,
I have a job running in the system for 2 hrs now. I want to cancel it, please suggest, how to do the same.
    Thanks,
    Raj

    Hi ,
Please follow the steps as metioned below: go to T-code SM37, enter the below details
Job name = * or BI*
    User name = *
Job status = Active ( uncheck rest all )
Execute ( here you will find all the active running jobs ).Click on the job--> Go to Job -->Cancel active job. It should cancel the job.
Or you can also get the PID of the job and cancel the job by following the steps below
Goto sm50 ---> locate the process with the PID ---> select the Process -
    > menu bar ---> cancel without core.

  • SM37 how to quite an active job?

Hi, How do I stop an active job in SM37?
    Thanks,
    Helen

Double click on the active job and click job details button. From here note the application server and process id(PID) for the job.
Now go to transaction SM51 and double click on the application server name . you will get a list of jobs executing on that server. Select the job checkbox and goto menu Process->Cancel without core. Now come back to Sm37 and check , the job will be cancelled.
Sometimes it does not get cancelled or still shows the active status because it does not fully get diconnected from the process id. So you can check the job from SM37 by going to SM37 and goto menu Job-> check active job.it will make corrections to the job.

  • How sap can schedule to cancel a job

i know sap can schedule a job start. Reversely, how can cancel a job schedulely.

    Hi all,
    1st
I think btctrns1 program will lock all jobs, you cannot specify which one, it is used during upgrade and so on -> from SE38 documentation -> "transfers all jobs with the status 'Released' to the status 'Descheduled due to upgrade'." and btctrns2 unlocks them again.
    2nd
I think in SM37 you can select also jobs which are started after event, just choose event which you are interested in in job start condition part of the SM37 window and what more you can goto "flexible selection criteria" and there you have a lot of selection properties.
anyway i think if someone wants just to cancel a job it is not necesary to delete it, just select job in SM37 and in job menu upwards select  "cancell active job".
schelule the cancellation is not possible i think but you can setup the parameter in profile for long running apaps to canncel after some time (unfortunatelly i dont remember the parameter name now)... maybe it could prevent long running malfunctions jobs it it is your problem.
