How to change a role of an existing query ?

I have a query already published in one rôle, but i have to move it to another one, how can i do that in query designer please?

Hi,
It is your choice what technical name you give the query you make. 
But you have to think about one thing: If you have connected a query with a workbook you have to conect that workbook with the query that has just been created.
Suppose you have the query Z0FIGL_C14_Q1_V1 connected with workbook Z0FIGL_C14_W1_V1.
Now you can save the query in another role as  Z0FIGL_C14_Q1_V2 .
Then you have to connect the workbook Z0FIGL_C14_W1_V1  with the query you have just created (Z0FIGL_C14_Q1_V2).
After this you can delete the source query Z0FIGL_C14_Q1_V1.
That sequence is crucial because the system doesn't allow to delete a query if it is connected the any workbook.

    I had tried what you sad.I open shared service in that foundation project i had export shared service.after that in import-export file.In that role.csv,user.csv,group.csv.Like this file have.When i open user file added some users after i trying save in excel it shown messgse
    I click yes and save the .csv file and import from share servie. i got error like this

  • How to Change Security Settings on an Existing Wireless Network

    I'd like to change existing network security settings to WPA2, AES or at least to from TKIP to AES.
    I'm familiar with browser access to the router and with how to change the settings on the router.
    My question is how to do this as painlessly as possible for the network.  Step by step would be nice
    I guess first I have to change the router settings using the computer running Easy Link Advisor?
    Do I then have to disconnect/reconnect that computer?
    Do I have to disconnect every other computer and then connect each one again with the updated settings?
    Will the change in security settings affect my print server?  If so, do I have to set it up from scratch in ELA?
    For the record, I have a WRT-300N and the print server is a 54g.
    Anyone who reads this may also want to look into recent news.  May not be a big deal, but a vulnerability of WPA/TKIP has been identified.

    Do I really need to set security for my wireless connection. I searched for available WiFi in my area prior to installing my  network and none were available. Does that matter?
    The network never did function right from the start. My desktop is a Dell Inspiron 510n and is not wireless capable? So when I tried to add my HP mni 1000 it did not let me access the Internet.
    So now I have an unsecured network. Am I vulnerable to attack?
    Which leads me to my real question How do I change the security settings?
    Oh yeah, my home computer crashed due to a program I downloaded, so I do not have access to it. i'm a mess....

    I hope someone can help me on how to create authorization role for just displaying and executing  BEX  Queries prefix Q and X. I'm currently using SAP BI 7.1.
    Actually, I already created one role called : Z_FORINDO_ONLYDISPLAY_QX
    where I only put in the Authorization Component (in the Role Maintenance - Tcode 'pfcg'):
    -->Manually Business Information Warehouse
        --> Manually Business Explorer - Components
    Activity : Display, Execute, Enter, Include, Assign
    InfoArea : *
    InfoCube : *
    Name(ID) of a reporting component : *
    Type of a reporting component : Calculated key figure, Restricted key figure, Template structure
        --> Manually Business Explorer - Components
    Activity : Display, Execute
    InfoArea : *
    InfoCube : *
    Name(ID) of a reporting component : Q* , X*
    Type of a reporting component : Query
    But, the problem is I still can make changes on that queries (Q* and X*). Even, I still can run query with prefix Z. I use S_RS_RREPU Tamplete for Query Display and execution.

  • How to get the role name in which query is published ?

    Hi Experts,
       Is there any table where i can get the name of the role in which a particular query is published. I know that if i have a role , i can check in pfcg giving that role name and in menu tab i can see all the queries published under that role. But if i know query but not role how to get the role name . Is there any table or functon modules or programs to get the information.

  • How to change an OD policy for existing accounts

    OS X server 10.4
    I set up Open Directory with one of the policies being specification to reset password upon first login.
    I then imported a batch of accounts from a unix /etc/passwd file with the standard settings header.
    I changed my mind about the reset password policy and made the change in Server Admin.
    I also am changing password type from crypt to open directory in the Work Group Manager (WGM) for each user. Upon each change, a new password is prompted for and set.
    I now find that accounts created via the import process and had password type changed in WGM, along witha a new password setting, cannot get authorization services, for example ssh login or mail, unless the user logs in at an OS X login screen where they are prompted for a new password as required by the policy when their account was created but after the policy is changed in Server Admin.
    1. Are OD Server Admin policy changes only applied to accounts made after a policy change save?
    2. How do I change the OD policy for a single account, or perhaps a collection of accounts?

    Policies can be set for all users at a site in Server Admin, or they can be set for users in Workgroup Manager. In WGM, the options are in the Advanced tab. Policies set on a specific user generally override those set in Server Admin. When policies are set, they become active for all existing and new users. The option, "password must be reset on first user login" is the exception. It dictates how accounts are created. Once an account is flagged for a password change, it must be unset in WGM. Go to the Advanced tab for the user and click the Options button.

    I am facing error in communication, becuase the integration server has been attached to in correct business system with incorrect client (001 instead of 700).
    In SLD, business system, 'integration' tab there is button "Associate with XI'.
    I have selected the role as integration server for the corrrect business system and aslo gave the correct pipeline url for integration server.
    When I press the button "Associate with XI" and Save nothing happened.
    How do i change my integration server.

    I have checked the teachnical system  and its of type WEB AS ABAP. and when i click on the business systems tab, there are two business systems. When i double click on the business systems
    I realised that both the business systems has been defined with role: integration server.
    IN one business system i can see that there is "associate with XI" button.
    But when i want to chnage the business system with correct client 700 , i tried pressing the button after entering the correct pileline url.... nothing happens.....
    Can you please let me know the procedure to chnage the technical system with respect to integration engine???
    PLease help as our project is held up due to this.

    This is the scenario for which I need to change the existing status profile :
    We are using categories such as Maintenance , Approvals etc.
    There is a huge list of options which comes when we choose the category. We have assigned a status profile to each of these categories.
    So for e,g when I choose Maintenance, it also displays other options not related to Maintenance.
    Q 1) how to I change the status profile on this??

    I am not so clear about your requirement, would you please try to make it clearer.
    Which transactions are you assigning the status profile to?
    And what is the "categories" do you mean? As I could guess it is the item within the status profile, isn't it?
    For example you have a status profile defined as
    10 xx01
    20 xx02
    30 Maintenance
    40 xx03
    50 Approvals
    60 xx04
    Is it like the above? Or else, please clarify.

    if it is not processed for gr then just delete the existing material and give new entry of material in same po

    now my understanding is that i would also need to manually rename the home directory, but my question is what else will i need to do
    so far all i can think of that i might need to change is home directory and sudoers file
    i have searched abit on google for info about changing a users name but there seems to be a slight lack of documentation available on this subject
    before i dive into this and possibly screw something up, does anybody here have any experience with changing users names?
    if so what other problems might i run into?
    do i need to change my uid also or can i keep the existing one?

    problem # 1
    the user that i am changing is currently named arch and i want to name it to awesome (i am making seperate users for different WM's)
    so i loged in as tj because
    usermod will not allow you to change the name of a user who is logged
           in. You must make certain that the named user is not executing any
           processes when this command is being executed if the user's numerical
           user ID is being changed. You must change the owner of any crontab
           files manually. You must change the owner of any at jobs manually. You
           must make any changes involving NIS on the NIS server.
    i did
    su -
    (to become root)
    i ran the command and changed the users name
    usermod -l awesome arch
    i then became awesome to test that it worked
    su awesome
    it worked so i exited back to tj
    exit
    i became root again
    su -
    i renamed /home/arch to /home/awesome
    cd /home
    mv arch awesome
    it all seemed to work
    i became awesome again
    su awesome
    i noticed that i get 
    bash-3.2$
    instead of
    [awesome@myhost ~]$
    if i do cd ~ it says
    bash: cd: /home/arch: No such file or directory
    so basically my question now is..
    what file do i need to edit to change the location of the home directory that the user is using?

  • How to change default language in an existing document?

    I have created several documents, all with tables in them (lots of text in tables). All of these were created when the default language was English. As I am typing all of these documents in Australian English (same as British English) I am getting lots of red underlines on word that Pages thinks are incorrectly spelt.
    How can I do a global change of the text to Australaian English (or any other language for that matter). If I do Select All within the document it does not select the text in the tables so for the moment it looks like I have to select each cell individually to change the language. This will take hours, Surely there is a simpler method to to a global language change.

    Update all the styles after you have changed the language.
    Insert the cursor in the sample style > Styles Drawer > click on the red triangle next to the style > Redefine Style from selection
    Save your document. If you need this for future documents save as a template.
    You should have set your system language to Australian English and it would have defaulted to that.

    We created an item instead of creating a region and extending it. But here we have one more problem. The item we added is getting displayed at Button Layout section
    Where did you create it, you should choose the appropriate region's create item icon to add it. If think you added it in a wrong place.
    And one more issue that we are facing is - we are getting an error (No current row for View (<ViewInstance>)). when we clicking the save or next button in that page. Please let us know how to update the existing controller and save the value in that picklist item to the database.
    There are two issues here,
    - you are trying to replace the messageTextInput with the poplits, so you should get the viewAttribute and viewUsage name associated with the textinput and provide that as part of the messageChoice definition.
    - the picklist VO which is the datasource for the poplist is not included in the existing seeded AM since you didnot follow the steps I mentioned earlier to create the stacklayout and add it instead of adding it directly. Probably you are on a version earlier than CU2, in which case you need to follow the additional steps mentioned below.
    While adding the poplist donot specify the picklist view definitions,
    1. extend the controller on the page and write your controller
    2. Call super first
    3. get a handle to the root AM and create the viewobject dynamically by using the createViewObject API on the AM.
    4. get a handle to the poplist in the controller, you need to do this first before creating the poplist in the personalization(otherwise the page might error out if you created the poplist first without the picklist view definition properties) and set the display, value attributes as well as the picklist view defintions based on the viewobject you created in step 3.
    5. Use personalization and add your poplist
    6. replace the old controller class with the new one.
    You are done.
