How to change images dynamically in jsp?

Hi All,
i Want to know how to change images dynamically in jsp, for example in any site if u look at advertise or any images, it will be changed after every few seconds.
Please guide me

My requirement is i maintain all the images in a table.
image source has to pick the table URl dynamically and display.
is that possible in webdynpro?

without using MIME objects is that anyway to get images?

are those icons wou want to display then. he following code will be useful.
data : lo_IMG type ref to CL_WD_IMAGE.
LO_IMG = cl_wd_IMAGE=>new_IMAGE( id = img_id SOURCE = 'ICON_BW_APD_TARGET' tooltip = sts_tltp ).
lo_cont->add_child( the_child = lo_img ).
here lo_cont is the container where you want to add the image dynamically and source is the attribiute through which you can change the ICON image. this thing you can getit from data base table and change accordingly.

I am using three images for a single column of a table in Jsp.

In broad way if i say i have multiple situations in mutiple tables where i need such a logic to operate in for all tables.
lets say in first time load of page by default one image will be displayed (one with sorted order for first column rest all non sorted)Now after every click to any image respective sort should get called.along with all images should get changed.Here with every function one/two images will get effect at least.
As in first if i say sort by desc then this image will change rest all will remain in unsort form.
when i move to other column and click on new image the previos will convert to unsort and new one will convert to sort by ascending. rest all will be in unsort form as it is.
Now it seems like same logic is required with two three conditions.
even for everyaction different parametrs has to be passed at differnt situations.
Any good idea if someone can suggest.
I will be very greatful for him.

I had created a web application in which I have given the option to change the image in a jsp, and I am saving that image in a folder.
The image is saved during the run time.But I am not getting that changed image.
If I restart my server the image is retrieved . What is the solution for getting the changed image during the runtime itself?

Proble displaying images dynamically in jsp

Hi, I am new here. I have to display the images dynamically reading from a database. I have no problem displaying images. When i try to reduce the width in img tag then it is slowly rendering it. How to overcome this.

I am also giving the sample jsp to display

How to render image dynamically in ADF using URL

Hi all,
I have a requirement where i need to render the images dynamically using the url. As the url are of the IPM Application and each of the url is associated to a particular image of a particular document. I have tried making the URL Data Control but couldn't able to get the Image as per the document,even the image is not being rendered onto the page.I want the whole IPM console to be rendered on my jspx page.
Note- It is not a wsdl url.
Please suggest how should i implement this

if you decompile the imaging.ear file, there is a web.xml file which you can add the following parameter:

or take a look at Receiving "Warning: Unable to load content in a frame. Frame content will load at the top level." When Trying to Use the <af:inlineFrame> Component [ID 1266770.1] on Oracle Support.
Make sure you take a copy of the imaging app before you make changes. You can then upload back through the weblogic console.

I have done similar way and saved the view ( i.e se80> ediobject>table>table name > given all the tables required for me and i try to saved it is not allowing to save and giving message as empty view cannot be saved. Therefore i have selected the tables which have been added and made one by table and selected them . some how it got saved. Now when i added this name of the view in the custom report caterogy and executed my custom report and selected the > dynamic selections i found as empty and in debugging i can see all the 4 tables which i have mentioed while createing view are there . But i dint understood why the custom View is empty.
please correct me where i went wrong.

Goto System Administration => System Configuration => UM Configuration => Direct Editing.
In the set of properties listed there, change the value of ume.logon.branding_image to the location of your new image. Don forget to restart the portal server after making changes.
Place the image in the layout folder of your project which is nothing but the modification of the logon par file (com.sap.portal.runtime.logon.par.bak).

How to change Images with ImageIcon

Hello everyone, this is my first post on the forums.
I am struggling at the moment to find a way to change images in my program. I am making a card game and when the user clicks a button it will replace the card he has with another card. I thought the following code would work but apparently it doesnt:
String cardPathA = "image1.gif";
ImageIcon imageCardA = new ImageIcon(cardPathA);   //cardPathA for example is image1.gif
//during the program the user changes cards so it should now show image2.gif
cardPathA = "image2.gif";
imageCardA.setImage(cardPathA);The error occurs when compiling and it reads: "+setImage(java.awt.Image) in javax.swing.ImageIcon cannot be applied to (java.langlString)+".
I have searched all over the internet and I haven't found anything. I would appreciate some help. Thanks :)

im not really sure i made a quick example to show how I would change the imageIcon in a button, just change the paths for cardPathA and cardPathB for your pictures to get it working.
The only other thing i can think of is maybe to call repaint() for the components you are trying to change the image?

Hi,
normally you would use skinning to skin the components. I don't think that layers make a different because with the stretch layout there are no overlapping layers. So maybe we should start with the use case you are trying to implement, I am not sure I understand the sentence: "I need to show the image front of the Panel Stretch Layout". What does this mean "in front" ? Do you want it to hide the panel stretch layout ? What is the use case?

How to embed images dynamically?

HI all , I'm new to flex.
Here is what I've already done, I use

[Embed(source="images/xxx.jpg")]
private var img:Class;
to embed several images in an application.
But the source of these images can not be determined until the run time, I got image's url dynamically, and used some variables to store them. For example, an url may refers to an url
var url:String = "images/xxx.jpg";
Then I think it's possible to give its value to an image source by using
[Bindable]
[Embed(source=url)]
private var img:Class;
However,it doesn't work. there is a compile error, the description is:
"url" does not have a recognized extension, and a mime type was not provided
Unable to transcode url
So what's the problem here, and could any one give me some advice to embed images dynamically?

I don't think you can embed an image dynamically as you need to know the path of the image when you use the embed tag. The embedding takes place at compile time, and you app would need to be compiled into a swf before your code loads.
If you need dynamc images in an application then its usually done by loading them when the app is running. You do this by using for example a HTTP service to load in the image paths. You can then view them by assigning them to an image tag through Actionscript.
I hope that helps and I got the idea of what you were trying to do.
Heres a quick example I used for someone else on swapping images from an arrayCollection. You could do something like this and populate the arrayCollection using a HTTP service. Or just access the xml from the HTTP directly for the image paths
