I have an MFP 1217nfw. It was working fine wirelessly. Then my router stopped working properly. I bought a new router and easily set up my computers, iPad and iPhones to work with it. But I don't know how to change the printer set up so that it will see and connect to the new router (i.e., change the network name and password that the printer uses to connect). It would appear that your User Account is not an administrative account.
Can you log out, and see what other accounts are availalbe to chose from?

I have changed the name and password for my Time Capsule and now the Time Machine will not connect

1TB Time Capsule.
Yesterday I changed the name and password on my time capsule and also the name and password of the wifi network as I was having problems with the speed of the internet when using Safari on any of my devices (1 Macbook pro, 1 macbook air, 27" iMac, iPhone and iPad) all other internet services were working fine (email etc.) This seems to have solved the problem.
However, since then, my time machine back ups will not reconnect and there is no option for me to reconnect to the existing back up for my macbook pro.
When I enter the time machine preferences it shows as below that there are no back ups.
Then, when I go to select a drive to use which should be the MacBook under the Backup disks the only option is for me to Remove Disk...
So, my question is, how do I reconnect to an existing Time Machine back up for my MacBook pro as I really do not want to erase and start all over again.
Warning - In my naiveté, I did click on the MacBook in 'Available Disks' but I got the impression that it was about to start a whole new back up and not work with the existing one.
(And does anybody have an inkling as to why there was a problem with Safari on all my devices? I downloaded Google Chrome and that worked fine).

You can then mount the TC disk in finder after you reboot the computer.
You should be able to reselect the TC disk and then it will say it is going to start a new backup.
Ignore this.. when the TM actually loads the TC disk it will discover the existing backup and continue the backup.. but it will give no hint until it actually starts that it won't start a new backup. you just have to believe it won't.. and mostly it works..
Please also install the widget A1 so you have some idea what TM is doing.

you need to negotiate Authentication in ur applet code...
          For example:
          If u r using Form based auth u need to send Post a request with j_user_name &
          j_password to the action j_security_check. and when server returns back the
          cookie
          u need to hold it and pass that cookie to the each and every request made to the
          protected application.
          Basically u need to imitate the browser.

How to suffix user name and password remote pc in shutdown /s command

Hi,
We can shutdown a remote pc using " shutdown /s /m \\ipaddress " command, only if password of remote pc is stored in windows credential manager.
But how to add user name and password when i execute the command for example : when we map a share folder on our pc we use below command with user name and password
"net use * \\ipaddress\share password /user:username "
can we give user name and password of remote pc while we give shutdown command to turn off a remote pc (without adding user name and password to windows credentials).

Based on my test, I can use the command shutdown /s /m \\10.157.21.77 to shutdown the remote computer when the have the same username and password.
Do you mean that you want to add user name and password when you want to shutdown the remote computer?
I can't find a user name and password in Windows Credential Manager, please share us a screenshot.

How to change of NAME and IP after RAC installation.

I have a challenge here...Would appreciate if anyone can help me..
I have to install 10.2.0.3 Oracle RAC on windows 2003 server 64 bit.
My issue is now the server names and ips are set and I am going to install the RAC.
But the client need is that after one month, they need to change the names and ips of the servers (a one time change).
Because according to their server naming standards, current production servers are having the acceptable names and ips.
The installation was on a 32 bit OS, so they are facing out of process memory errors. Thats why they are going to 64 bit OS on new servers.
After the new servers are ready, the data will be migrated to new server. After a month, they need to change the names of new servers to that of the old (current production) servers.
Could anybody help me by giving me information about how to change the NAME and IP after a RAC installation ?

Hi,
You can change the IP later but you can not change the hostname of the system.
You have to install CRS freah if you want to change the hostname of the system.
Please let us know which IP you want to change.
You can see the metalink Note.276434.1 for VIP or VIP hostname change.

If this question has been asked before, please let me know, and I am sorry for duplicate the question raising.
I want to use the login name and password which are entered from the left frame(topic frame) in the right frame ( the content frame).
I have 3 jsp programs, "A.jsp" is for validate the login (name and password), "B.jsp" contains a form-submit to add the records to a database. "C.jsp" is the actual one which does the updating to the database.
Q1, how can I re-use the login name and password for "B.jsp" and "C.jsp"?
Q2, is there any security problem to do so?

Thanks for your attention for my humble problem.
I have performed Meeting Place Express configuration through the “net” command.
But now unfortunately I can't connect to meeting place through web browser. I just get blank page.
Though I can reach the server with help of ssh. I think my DNS works properly because I can resolve the ip address of cumpxvoice .uclab.com and cumpxweb. uclab.com with help of dig command.
Have you any idea?

How to change DB name and SID in RAC environment?

I have 2 node RAC on Red Hat Linux, EL 4, upd. 4. It's using ASM
and it is working great. However, after 2 years of faithful service
I was asked to change DB name and SID. In non-RAC environment, that is
easy. Rename a few files, change init.ora and re-create control file.
I've done that many times. With 10g RAC, however, situation is different. There is also RAC registry which has the database under the certain name and, I believe, it also has SID registered. Can you, please, point me to a document describing how to do that? It's a production DB and I can't test it anywhere.

I need to make several changes to my computer. However, I don't know/remember the administrator name and password to my computer and I am the administrator! It's been a long time since I set up my laptop (I bought it and set it up on 12/31/07). It's a black MacBook, OS 10.5 aka Leopard.
What do I do?
I ask that you be as specific as possible when suggesting a solution.

I don't think you want to change the administrator name. It's also impossible to forget it. It's the name in Finder right under Places, assuming you are the administrator.
What you want to do is reset the admin password which you can to by using the Leopard DVD that came with your computer.
Boot into the DVD and hold down the "C" key with DVD inserted. After language screen, menu top left under Utilities you will find the proper item. Just follow the instructions.
