How to change the location of rendered files ?

Hi guys,
After finishing I was playing around & exploring the SHARE option.
I did SHARE > MEDIA BROWSER then select Mac & PC. Then I click PUBLISH.
What happened next was, FCPX starts rendering ! How come it did not prompt & ask me where I want the rendered files to be located at ?
Upon seacrhing, I manage to locate it at EXTERNAL HARDDISK > FINAL CUT PROJECTS folder.
How do I change the destination ?

For my pupose, I should have chosen Apple Devices instead.
But I still don't understand what the option Media Bowser is for ? I mean why must other application recognize this file to work ? Can give example ?

You probably need to change the value of the %temp% and %tmp% environment variables in:
Control Panel > System > Advanced > Environment variables
You can set the location of the Firefox cache by setting a pref to that location.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website. 
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

How to change the location of all fotos in the iPhoto library?

my iPhoto 11 library is stored locally on my macbook.
however, my fotos (the actualy bits) are stored externally on a NAS box.
(or in other words: option "Importing: [ ] Copy items to the iPhoto Library" is not checked)
recently i purchased a timecapsule and i now want to move all fotos from the NAS box to the timecapsule.
i am looking for a way to batch-change the location of all fotos from let's say "/Volumes/MyNas/..." to "/Volumes/MyTimecapsule/...".
can this be done? any ideas?

Not really unless you search the forums and find the older post describing how to hack the SQLite database to accomplish this
Or use Aperture which can do this easily
However if you are using your Time Capsule as a Time Machine bakcup volume it is not a good place to put your photos - if you do you have no backup of them which means that sooner of later you will lsoe them - and sooner or later TM will fill the volume and make it impossible to add photos

How to change the bar chart rendering image format in SSRS

I am working with SQL Server 2008 R2 and I have a SSRS bar chart report, when the report got rendered over online or if the take Export (PDF and PPT), the image is in png format always, which is taking too much of time to execute the report in case of large
data.
Can, It be possible that the rendered image is in jpeg format instead of png.
If Yes, please share the appropriate steps to follow:

According to your description, you want to change the bar chart rendering image format as JPEG format when previewing the report or exporting to a PDF file .
In Reporting Services, the chart rendering image format is PNG by default. It’s a by-design behavior. And it doesn’t open any API for us to change the image type when exporting a chart to a format. So in your scenario, your requirement can’t be achieved
in Reporting Services currently. I would recommend you submit a feature request to Microsoft at this site:
https://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer. So that we can try to modify and expand the product features based on your needs.

Sysprep and capture has *Three* steps.
1. Run sysprep on the local machine (easy).
2. Copy WinPE down to the local machine so we can reboot into winpe for capture.
3. Capture the drive in an *offline* state from within WinPE.
What is most likely happening is that you are having problems with step #2. 100MB is *WAY* too small to copy down WinPE. By default MDT will make this System partition much bigger, 499MB. IF you install Windows 7 from the default media. IT will only create
a 100MB partition.
By default MDT 2012 Update 1 and greater *should* recover to a fallback drive with the OS on it, however if you are running older versions that might not happen correctly.

How to change the location value after it is registered

hello,
I want to change the location (A) to a new schema. From what I am understanding, I need to unregister the old locatin(A) in repository browser, and then re-register it in control center, and change the schema name to my new target.
Now, I have unregisted A in the repository browser. When I come back to control center, and click the register, everything is grey out which means I cannot change the value (but i need to change the value for service name and schema), except the password value. and on the top, it says 'this location has not been registered. please complete the location parameters'.But I know on the old version, like owb 9.0.5, the grey out means this location is registered. So I am really comfused now. The location is unregisted, why cant I change the value of this location?
any suggestion will be appreciated.

Here is what I was referring to - when in Control Center, I have the database locations. (sources, targets, OWF etc). Under a database location I selected the connector/location name under Connectors. When I select Deploy Action to Drop the connector/location name will remain. However, if you were to check in the database or the Repository Browser (Locations Report) you will see that the db link is gone. At this point you can safely modify the Locations info in the Connection Explorer (in Design Center). On the other hand, if you want the location to be deleted all together then now you can delete it in the Connection Explorer panel. If you did the prior drop step then at this point all db link info should be gone from the database.

the applications in pc suite each work independantly of each other, so you need to dig into the settings of the application you are using and change the default location

Hello Valerie,
probably this problem is caused by the file/directory access rights on the apex.home (the place where the APEX Listener stores its configuration). The default location would be ${java.io.tmpdir} which again defaults to */tmp/apex* in most cases. However, this is mostly a global location, not a user specific one. On the other hand, the files are created with write acces limited to the owner and read access limited to owner and group. So if you try to start with a different user, the APEX Listener tries to use the same location, but cannot access the files as needed and hence fails. root obviously will not have this problem, but I would recommend not to use this account for any service you run.
You can set a start option to make the APEX Listener use a different location for apex.home that is read-/writable for your current user. This could like
java -Dapex.home=/home/user/apex -jar ./apex.warOf course you can change the directory to any place that fits to your system.

I finish installed the db,and the size of redo file is 50m by default. I found many "checkpoint not complete" events in alert.log file.
Now i want to change it to 100M and try to avoid the event appear again ,how can i do?

As Sb has already correct reply that size of redo logs can not be changed. We have to create new bigger/smaller size of redo logs and then 'alter system switch logfile' to inactivate older logs. Now you can drop older logs. Redo logs are something a glass of water. We can not change the size of glass, if we wish to dring more/less water, we will take that sized glass and we will get that sized water.
Remember to consider the multiplexing/grouping when doing any maintenance like this. And there may be archive log & backup space considerations.

How to Change the Location of the Anchor Point

Very new to affter effects.... i was wondering if you guys could please tell me how to move the blue anchor for animation of text please.

If you just want to move the anchor point on your text layer you can do it by hand instead of going in and manually adjusting it from the transform menu as Dave suggested.
However, by what you've written it seems like there may be some confusion about what moving the anchor point actually accomplishes. So just to clarify, the anchor point, or the small crosshair icon usually in the middle or corner of the layer, is actually a customizable location that essentially dictates the center around which the position, scale and/or rotation values will change when your layer is animated over time with keyframes.
For example, if you would like to move the anchor point so that your text rotates around a point near the corner of the layer, you can press the Y key to activate the Pan Behind Tool and move the anchor point to the corner. If you have CS6 you can hold down the Command Key to lock the anchor point to the center, corner or edge of your layer. A little square will appear around the Anchor Point when it's ready to lock.
If you've keyframed some of the properties on a layer and would like to temporarily see how your layer looks without messing up any animation you've done on it, simply duplicate the layer by selecting it in the Comp's layer panel and going to Edit - Copy and Edit - Paste. That way you can do whatever you'd like on the duplicated layer wihout harming your original Then do one or more of the following:
A.) You can reset all of the trnsform properties of the layer by clicking Reset. This will set your layer back to it's default transform settings.
B.) Or, you can delete all of the keyframes on an individual property by clicking the stopwatch again.
C.) Also, clicking the light yellow diamond next to the Source Name will delete a single keyframe and the arrows on either side will move the playhead from keyframe to keyframe. You can of course always delete keyframes manually by selecting them in the timeline and hitting delete. Holding Shift will snap the playhead to each keyframe.

How to change the location of "Mobile Applications" in iTunes Library?

OS: WinXP-Pro
iTunes: 8.0.2.20
I'm trying to move my "Mobile Applications" folder away to another drive to save some space because there's a quota problem on my C drive. However after searching I only found how to move 'Music Folder' away instead of the entire iTunes library.
My understanding is iTunes needs (maybe hard-coded?) its library at "My Documements\My Music" to store the db and xml files. For potentially large music files, the "iTunes Music" can be moved away (pointed to another location).
My question is can this also be done on "Mobile Applications" folder?
The most desirable solution for me is to be able to create a single library folder on my external drive, and I can choose which library to connect/sync to in iTunes on different computers. Could you please advice how?

Move the itunes Library.itl file to your exHD.
Then to get itunes to start using it from that new location, press *and hold* the shift key while starting itunes. Choose "use existing library" and browse out to the ITL file that is now on the exHD.
Future app downloads will go to the Mobile Applications folder created there. It will also start downloading the itunes store artwork to the exHD.
You can try downloading a free app to test it.

Changing the location of movie files to an external hard drive

how do I move specific movie files in iTunes to an external hard drive? I would like to free up space on my computer. Also, I do not want to move my music files or any other files - just a few movie files.

Assuming you know the location where its saved on your PC, you can just move it to the external hard drive. However, if you do that iTunes will show an exclamation mark beside it and mention that it cannot locate the file any longer.
