How to change the resolution of a file?

Hi, can someone please help me. I am working with illustrator CS and I am exporting a file as a jpeg. I need to print that file so when i export it i am changing the resolution to 150dpi. When i open the file in windows picture manager edit it and save the changes the file turns black and it prints a black page. This only happens when i change the resolution to 150dpi or higher if i leave it at 72dpi and make changes i don't have problems it will save fine. I have tried many different things but no luck. Hope someone here can help me. thank you.

Sounds like an issue with your image editor. BTW if you plan on editing the image you should use a lossless format from Illustrator to the editor then save as a jpg. Each time you save the jpg more and more data gets thrown out until it unusable.

  • How to change the path of sysprep files that were copied to reference computer when i capture the image from reference.

    Dears ,,
    how to change the path that sysprep were copied to reference computer when i capture the image from reference.
    Should i modify some codes in LTIAPPLY.wsf? how to modify it?
    Thanks.

    Sysprep and capture has *Three* steps.
    1. Run sysprep on the local machine (easy).
    2. Copy WinPE down to the local machine so we can reboot into winpe for capture.
    3. Capture the drive in an *offline* state from within WinPE.
    What is most likely happening is that you are having problems with step #2. 100MB is *WAY* too small to copy down WinPE. By default MDT will make this System partition much bigger, 499MB. IF you install Windows 7 from the default media. IT will only create
    a 100MB partition.
    By default MDT 2012 Update 1 and greater *should* recover to a fallback drive with the OS on it, however if you are running older versions that might not happen correctly.
    If you are still having problems, copy your BDD.log file to a public share like OneDrive and copy the link here.

  • How to Change the Resolution on the Monitor? Model HP 2011X- (20" flat screen monitor)

    "input signal out of range, change settings to 1600 x 900 -60HZ" How to make this change?
    I have a HP desktop PC and I recently purchased a HP 2011X  (20" flat monitor). Initially, I hooked it up to the pc and it worked and I did not have to install anything. But the other day, I ran the Microsoft's Fix-it-Center and ran the resolution problem detection even though I did not have any problem with the resolution. Within 5 seconds, a dark black screen appeared with the following message:
    INPUT SIGNAL OUT OF RANGE
    CHANGE SETTINGS TO
    1600 X 900 - 60HZ
    It displays this message and then the monitor goes to sleep. I press the buttons at the bottom of the monitor and from time to time, it displays a resolution screen that shows the monitor's resolution is not 1600 x 900 but that HP recommends that setting. However, I cannot change anything and that small screen with black background disappears in a few seconds. I cannot see anything else and I have tried the following:
    - Turned the PC on and off several times and the message is still there
    - Unplugged the power to the monitor and re-plugged it and no change
    - Unplugges the video cable from the PC to the monitor and re-plugged it and nothing
    Please help. I cannot see the PC screens at all even though the PC is on. All I see is the black background screen with white text with the above message. How do I fix this when I cannot see the Windows screen or from the monitor.
    Thanks,
    Bob

    Hello IE_PC_User,
    Let's try to get your computer to the boot options and go into VGA mode to see if you can change the resolution then.
    Start up your computer and start tapping away at the F8 key.
    Once the computer presents you with the boot options choose the VGA mdoe.
    It should boot up and everything look really out of place. Set the proper resolution and then reboot.

  • Change the resolution for more files/tracks at the same time?

    Hello,
    we are now recording about 1000 LP to 32 bit (float) resolution for our archive, but for our and public use we will need 16 bit resolution. Is there any possibillity to change the resolution for more (for example 100 files) at the same time?
    IASA recommendations:
    http://www.iasa-web.org/tc04/introduction-first-edition
    »It is recommended that all audio be digitised at 48 kHz or higher, and with a bit depth of at least 24 bit.«
    Thank you.

    Sure
    Go to edit view select File->Batch Processing.
    Then select your files and resample settings
    Too easy.

  • How to change the resolution of a page in iWeb

    Hi,
    I'm making a website for a project, and I decided to do it in iWeb. The brief of mt project says the resolution has to be 1024*768, however, when I change the resolution to this, the page instantly looks horrible with a white border to the right of my content. Is there a way to change this, or centre my content in the white part?
    Thanks,
    Jonny.

    There is no formula for a web page and you have to consider the type of content and what device the viewer is using.
    A "standard" width for a conventional webpage could be considered to be 980px with a page height of no more than about 1200px to avoid too much scrolling. Any page that is much higher than this should, at least, have a "back to the top" button...
    http://www.iwebformusicians.com/iWeb/Navigation.html
    The browser width on personal computers is user adjustable and not everybody wants to fill the whole screen width.
    The browser width on mobile devices is fixed and the user only has the option of portrait or landscape orientation.
    US letter size is 8.5 inches wide by 11 high (816 x 1056 px) and the European A4 is 8.27 × 11.69 (794 x 1123 px). Either would be a good starting point for an e-zine.
    The iPad is 768 px wide in portrait mode but remember that its not the only tablet available. I think Kindle is 600px wide and others are smaller.
    Text on wide pages is difficult to read - hence the use of columns in magazines and newspapers.
    Designing web pages for mobile devices in general is not possible with iWeb since it can only use a fixed page width. An example of a folding column magazine style layout can be found on this page...

  • How to change the path for a file download? Sometimes, I want to save a file in a specific folder in my hard disc and I don't know how to do it. Thanks.

    There is a default folder for the download of files from the internet ("Descargas" or "Downloads"). But, what can I do if I wish to save the file in another location of the hard disk?

    Use about:config and filter on browser.download, you'll see them

  • How to change the size of redo file

    Deal all,
    I finish installed the db,and the size of redo file is 50m by default. I found many "checkpoint not complete" events in alert.log file.
    Now i want to change it to 100M and try to avoid the event appear again ,how can i do?

    As Sb has already correct reply that size of redo logs can not be changed. We have to create new bigger/smaller size of redo logs and then 'alter system switch logfile' to inactivate older logs. Now you can drop older logs. Redo logs are something a glass of water. We can not change the size of glass, if we wish to dring more/less water, we will take that sized glass and we will get that sized water.
    Remember to consider the multiplexing/grouping when doing any maintenance like this. And there may be archive log & backup space considerations.

  • How to improve the resolution of jpg files in a pdf created from html

    I have a document in html that I need to convert to pdf. If I open the html in acrobat, the images look fine, almost the same as if I open the file in a browser. If I do "create pdf from web page", the jpg files imbedded in the html look terrible in the resulting pdf. Where can I adjust the resolution settings so that the jpg images look better in the pdf?
    I need to use "create pdf from web page" because I need access to the options to change the page size, margins, and header/footer, which I can't seem to find when I just open an html file and save as pdf, etc.
    LHH_enc

    Do you have a particular URL that we can look at to see where the problem might be? As far as adusting margins and such from your browser, those would be in the browser print settings to provide that option. You also would need to check possibly to use the Print or Press settings file to get better graphic resolution. The settings file selection may also be important if you use PDF Maker in one of the browsers that use PDF Maker.

  • How to change the location of rendered files ?

    Hi guys,
    After finishing I was playing around & exploring the SHARE option.
    I did SHARE > MEDIA BROWSER then select Mac & PC. Then I click PUBLISH.
    What happened next was, FCPX starts rendering ! How come it did not prompt & ask me where I want the rendered files to be located at ?
    Upon seacrhing, I manage to locate it at EXTERNAL HARDDISK > FINAL CUT PROJECTS folder.
    How do I change the destination ?
    Thanks

    Tom Wolsky wrote:
    You can't. The Media Browser is a function of working with other applications. It must be in that location for the other applications to recognize it. You can always move or copy the files out of there when you're done. You might prefer Apple devices which has the same sharing options I believe.
    Thanks Tom,
    You are correct.
    For my pupose, I should have chosen Apple Devices instead.
    But I still don't understand what the option Media Bowser is for ? I mean why must other application recognize this file to work ? Can give example ?

  • How to change the resolution af adobe captivate

    Hi,
    I have a surface 3 with high resolution (2160 x 1440).
    In Adobe captive - the menu bar is very small due to the high resolution
    So i tried to modify the resolution of adobe captivate in the compatibily mode but it won't work :-(
    In the meantime, i will use the magnifer :-'( but it's not very convenient.
    Can you stop my headache ? ;-)

    resizeImage does not let you set 'Scale Styles'. If you want to scale the styles you need to use scriptlistner.
    Here are examples for "Constrain Proportion" and "Resample Image".
    activeDocument.resizeImage( undefined,undefined,300,ResampleMethod.NONE);// change the dpi without resample
    activeDocument.resizeImage( new UnitValue(2,'in'),undefined,72,ResampleMethod.BICUBICSHARPER);// change width - defaults to constrain proportion
    activeDocument.resizeImage( new UnitValue(5,'in'),new UnitValue(5,'in'),300,ResampleMethod.BICUBICSHARPER);// change both w and h - may or may not matain proportions

  • How to change the filename in @include file?

    I want to do a checking before deciding to include which file,
    for example,
    <%
    if(isValid){
    %>
    <%@ include file="abc.jsp" %>
    <%
    else{ %>
    <%@ include file="def.jsp" %>
    <% } %>but the code above doesnt work in my JSPs
    any idea how to solve this?
    thanks
    Desmond

    Am i clear?? pls correct me if i am wrong..You are wrong.
    The include directive is being used here, which is a compile time include, not a runtime include. Both includes will be performed before the resulting servlet is compiled.
    If they have a conflict between them (either by not nesting them in their own { scope } or using <%! declarations %>) then the generated servlet will fail to compile.
    So if you had the following:
    abc.jsp:
    Hello from ABC!
    <% String myVar = "ABC"; %>def.jsp:
    Hello from DEF!
    <%  String myVar = "DEF";  %>And the page as mentioned in the original post, you would end up with a Servlet something like this:
    if (isValid){
       out.println("Hello from ABC!");
        String myVar = "ABC";
    else{
       out.println("Hello from DEF!");
      String myVar = "DEF";
    }This example would compile because of the presence of the braces.
    However removing the braces or using a <%! declaration %> would probably screw things up with a compile error.
    The %Include directive is like a copy/paste into a JSP before you compile it.
    The <jsp:include> is evaluated at runtime and copies in the result of executing the page.
    The difference is quite subtle, but very important.
    Cheers,

    Hi, no idea how to cure it, but have noticed that it sometimes corrects itself, or after doing I don't know what... perhaps toggling the Display res a few ties until it "feels" safe about a certain rez???
