How to close the scopes / preview window

I guess I have the opposite problem that most people have (I did try to do a search on this one). I would like to close or disable the scopes/preview window. Is there anyway to do this?
I am running 1 large monitor and would love to just have the main color interface fill the entire screen. (I have read that color is designed for 2 monitors.. but it's easier to fit one large (28") monitor on my desk rather than 2 smaller ones) In single display mode, I can minimize the scopes window, but I can't seem to maximize the main color window. If I do dual monitor mode, I can minimize the scopes window, but when I hit play, it pops up and jumps in front of my main window. I have a kona for my external monitor and I have an external scope.
Is there anything I can do? Did Apple just not give us many ways to customize the interface (Can't re-size the main color window)? I am running color 1.0.4 on OS X 10.4.11 (on a G5), and have the ATI X800 XT.

Don't know why this is happening to you. Under window set for a single display and restart Color. If your doing DVD/TV work the only monitor that going to be any help is a grading TV monitor. A second computer monitor would be a waste and useless.
I have a two screen setup. I mainly do work for internet delivery. I have Color set up for single display. My main monitor (calibrated as close as I can get it) is better than my second monitor. And that's were I view my Quicktime videos. The second monitor is only used for programs tools/pallets. When I do something for TV I set up a second TV monitor.

I'm using the addon in my firefox toolbar to print preview website data then append to a pdf file. Sometimes I am distracted, then can't remember if I've gone through the process and printed/appended the page to the file. I'm running different versions of firefox on different computers. I'm aware of the upgrade procedures. Same issue in later versions as well.
The add-on is called "Print Preview Button 0.5" by sindre-wimberger which I obtained through the "Search Mozilla Support"
However, that's not really relevant - to bring this back to basics the same situation occurs if you do <File> <Print Preview> then print the document. The print preview screen remains until manually closed. Perhaps there is a setting in "about:config"? Does anyone know if this is so? There is an entry "print.whileinprintpreview" but not sure what setting does here. Suspect if set to "False" then you probably wouldn't be able to print from "Print Preview" screen.

I am using System Exec VI to lauch an exe file built from a LabVIEW program. When running System Exec VI, the window of exe file pop out and stays there even after all tasks are completed. I have to close it every time manually. Anyone here know how to close the exe file window automatically when it's done?

If I understand the question correctly you need to add an invoke node at the end of your application to exit. Depending on the whether it is running as a stand alone application or within LabVIEW it will either exit or stop execution. I've attached the VI I use in my applications.

In main Home Display, I click Browser and it pops up 8 preview window panes for me, which is most helpful. I have some there I use frequently such as a traffic site. But, my 8 preview window panes have no button I can click which allows me to add a window to that, nor any way I can see to remove 6 of the 8 I have no interest in ever seeing again, ever.

I deleted the Bookmarks for the 6 of the 8 I never want to see again. They still fill-up 6 of the 8 slots. I have no interest in those 6 and cannot figure out how to get rid of 6 of the 8. I have 6 others I definitely do want to have with the 2 of the 8 I already have in there, like the Traffic.

Naah.......haven't got any event for that yet.
Although, since HTML extensions are using chromium browser, as a workaround, u can attach listener to HTML onClose event, but it won't solve any purpose if you
are looking to logout session or do some business login in your code.

you'll have to use JNI to access the windowAPI
then you need a list of window handles ... I think there was a function called getWindow and in order to close them you use sendMessage .... for details check out msdn (microsoft developer network)
somwhere I saw a tool called JUtil, which might help you getting started on accessing the win api from java

According to your description, users need to type username and password before they can open the SSRS report when reopening IE, right? If I have anything misunderstood, please point it out.

FM9: Any way to auto-close the insert-variable window?

Is there any way to have the FM9 variable window automatically close after one selects a variable using the Enter key? I'm finding it cumbersome after calling it up via key commands to have to pick up the mouse and click somewhere just to close the window, or "fly" back into the side panel.

after youve called the contact and it opens with their name again just tap cancel on top right of screen and it puts you back to the first person in your contacts list.
its the only way ive found out how to close the cotacts name.

Just go to J1IIN, click on "Exc.inv for delivery -- Display" where you input delivery reference and execute. If you have generated excise invoice, you can see the corresponding excise invoice for that delivery / billing document.

These two things need to be remedied in their upgrades because It's become such a bother I've had to revert to older versions of PS.

Yea, and it's a pain to get to. What was the rational for removing the print size button? With the magnifying glass tool selected in older versions of Photoshop you would get a button that says "print size" right next to Actual pixels, Fit Screen, Fill Screen. Now I have to go out of my way and dig for it if I want to see the print size. Of all the buttons you could have taken away, why not fill screen? I never use that.
Besides the point I just downloaded the Oct Upgrade for PS and surprise! Nothing has changed and these are two big black eyes on newer versions of Photoshop. The Brush preview window is unchanged in CC but in CC2014 it's basically worthless. If you apply a texture to a brush you can't properly see the scale of the texture, the spacing, scatter, etc...
