How to configure a link in my page which should navigates to new webpage

Hi ,
Iam using Jdev 11g(11.1.2.0.0)
My scenario is like i need to configure a link in my page. If i click that link , it should navigates me to another web page.
Please tell me how to configure the URL to which it has to be navigated on clicking the link.

I assume that you are using adf rich faces. In this case you use an af:goLink and give the whole URL as you would type it in the browser as the 'destination' property select '_blank' as 'TargetFrame' to open a new window...

When user clicks on the link, the values of some LOVs should be forwarded on the custom page......
I created a link through personalization... But I have doubt about how to attach the values of LOVs through url....
Is it possible to do the same???

Yes the LOVs are created through personalization....
Since i dint want to touch the code... so i created everything through personalization.....
The only problem now is to get the values of these LOVs in URL....
Is there no other method other then extension to do this???

IWeb • How Do I Make Links in an Embedded PDF Document Open in New Page?

On this page http://ostyn-newman.com/Gov_Downloads.html I have a PDF document that is embedded. I tried an IFrame, but everything seemed to work better for me with the "Embed" code. I am open to changing this if it would be better. Here's my problem. I can get the PDF document to display fine, but when I click on the links in the PDF document, the destination page opens in the embedded window. I want the links to open the destination in a new window.
I created the part of the document with most of the links (Pages 8.5 - 56) in Numbers and cut and pasted the table into a Pages document to create the completed document on our site. I exported the docuemnt from Pages as a PDF file which is what you see. There is also a link to download the file on the same page which works just fine.
I have tried to insert the target="_blank" code but have not been able to get it to open the destination pages in a new window. I am inserting the code by using the Insert/Widget/HTML Snippet Feature in IWeb. Here is the code I am using.

Please keep in mind that most of the people who visit and use this page are government employees and are almost exclusivey using Explorer.

It is live on my site. You can see that the embedded document still opens the destination links in the embedded window.
As for your other two suggestions, thank you as well. I am aware of those techniques and did not use them because that is not how I want the other PDF links on the page to behave. The catalog and autocad blocks downloads in the box at the top should simply download (or behave however the client's browser is configured to handle downloaded PDF documents or zip files.) I don't intend to force those to open a new window. I could also have our client click on a link to the PDF document and open it in a new page (like in your second suggestion) but I was hoping to embed the PDF and have it automatically viewable on our Download • Terms • Prices Page with all of the PDF search functions intact as well as the links be active. My only complaint at this point is that the links in the embedded PDF document open the destination page in the embed window instead of a new window. I only want to force a new window because the destination window doesn't behave properly when it opens in my embed window and it is difficult to figure out how to go back to the my PDF document when a destination window gets opened in the embed window. The code you sent didn't do the trick. Or maybe I didn't get it exactly right. That is why I included it above. Thanks for trying though. I appreciate the effort.
I would be willing to bypass the imbed/iFrame route altogether if I could just somehow drop the Pages document into the IWeb page and retain the search and link features, but I've not been able to figure out how to do that. When I was exploring how to directly drop a Pages document into an IWeb page is when I stumbled on the method of embedding a PDF document into an IWeb page to retain the important search and link features.

I know some people have asked previously how to create links to other pages of their book within iBooks. I having an issue with this myself that I haven't been able to resolve. I am able to create the links, and they seem to function within the program, however, once I export the document as a PDF file (the format in which I need to have this ebook!), the links seem to be non-functional. Does anybody have a fix for this?

Exporting as a PDF does alter/lose/remove certain functions. Adobe Acrobat has its own page navigation system.
A lot of the hidden engine of iBooks Author is basically very similar to building a website! so links and books marks are an "internal" function.
IF you have Acrobat and not just the Adobe Reader, you can make links. I have never needed to try, but I see a working link related index in the many software manuals I have.

I have an urgent requirement of creating a link to web page (URL) to a billing document.
I call the function module "GOS_EXECUTE_SERVICE" with :

Then, I enter the title and the address.
And, I have the message : "The attachment was successfully created".
But when there's nothing in the attachment list of the billing document.
(Tha table SOOD contains the record )
If any one has some idea about his , how to achieve this functionality, can you please help me.

I am new to Adobe Designer 7.0, I'm liking it so far, I had a question though, I was wondering how I could make a link from one page to another. For instance, I want to have a table of contents and I want the user to be able to click on the word whatever that may be and for it to go to the page which they chose.

Mac, the best way to do this is use a Button and change it to look like a hyperlink (color, etc.). Add a setFocus JavaScript on the Click event to a field on the page you want it to go to; e.g.,
xfa.host.setFocus("Page3.TextField1");
If there is not a field on the page, make a hidden field for it to jump to.

IF You are using jsf then simply <h:outputLink value="file:///D:/Me/Image000.jpg"/>. This generates HTML <a> tag and value attribute replacing with <a> tag's href attribute.If you are using other technologies try to find which tag generates HTML <a> tag.

Hi, I have Adobe Acrobat Professional. I need to know how to create multi-links on 300 page docs

I need to know how to create multi-links on a 300 page document, showing "return to main Menu". Ideally placed on the bottom right of each page. I have adobe acrobat Professional.

Import a picture to be a button, place it, activate HYPERLINK tool, draw a rectangle around the whole button, in the window popping up select the link behaviour, submit with OK.
Then copy & paste the button object to every page. I don't know whether pasting it on every of the 300 pages can be automated, but if not, it is still done quite fastly.

I installed Adobe Reader Extension and is able to login into Administration page. Can any one teach me how to configure the Manage Acess - especially on LDAP Server portion?
I tried to put local server name in LDAP server then press Apply. Error pop-out:
Validation Error
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
Internal Error : Error 2505: A problem occured while creating a controller -- Cause: com.adobe.server.AuthenticateException: The LDAP host cannot be contacted, please check your settings.

you should add
PlsqlNetServiceNameFormat=cn=asdb,cn=oraclecontext NetServiceNameFormat
in your dtds.conf
and you also need modify your ldap.ora fiile which stored in your portal/infra server directory. the directory maybe looks like .../ldap/admin/ldap.ora

How to configure a link in a popup window to open a tab in main window.

I have put videos in popup windows with a link to their relevant main windows. I have used a behaviors extention from adobe to close the popup with the same link button, but the page doesn't open in the main window.

I divided one jspx page into 2 parts(Left and Right). In Left side part contain Tree component. Onclick on any node in Tree component, Include another jspx page in Right side. The included jspx contain one submit button. If I click on that button corresponding backing bean is not getting call.
If I tested with individual pages its working fine. It is getting fail when ever I included jspx page into another.

We implemented the ADF calendar component and it displays fine. However, we have a requirement that by clicking on the activity, it should navigate to another new page. For an activity, there are options like contextMenu, acitivtyHover, activityDetail etc.., where all shows the details in popup of the same page. We want to navigate to new page by clicking on the activity. Is it possible?
