How to connect iphone 5 to iphone 6 via bluetooth

i am trying to connect my iphone 5 to my iphone 6 but it is not working,, is iphone bluetooth only for audio and video contivity?

This explains it: Bluetooth: Why can't I pair my iPhone or iPad with my computer?
I realize it refers specifically to computers, but the same thing applies to iPhones and iPads (which ARE computers when you come right down to it).

  • Connecting iPhone to MBP via Bluetooth (Sync Contacts)

Does your iPhone connect to your computer via Bluetooth? Mine will not.
I have a new iPhone 3gs and a MBP. The MBP has 10.5.8. Pairing the two is easy enough, once the pass code is typed in to the iPhone a window on the computer says that pairing was successful. The IPhone is listed as a device on the computer as well as the computer is listed as a device on the iPhone.
This is where the problem begins. They will not connect. I have tried everything I can think of including:
Finding and dumping any BT prefs
Wiping the 'devices' from the MBP
Wiping the 'devices' from the iPhone
    Rebooting the MBP
    Rebooting the iPhone
    Re-pair the devices
The iPhone pairs and connects to my BT headset no problem. My old cell phone (Nokia 6555b) pairs and connects to MBP no problem. Bluetooth works on each device, but they will not connect with each other.
All I wanted to do was get my contacts sync'd .... pretty simple typically. After I gave up and hardwired to the computer to sync music, photos, calendars, etc I discovered I could sync contacts as well through iTunes .... BUT .... this does not solve the problem. If I were connecting Apple(s) and Orange(s) then pairing and connecting could understandably be an issue (other party hardware), but this is Apple(s) and Apple(s) .... Apple Mac to Apple iPhone .... a little embarrassing to say the least in regards to how I brag up my Macs.
    Any thoughts please?

The BT on the iPhone is used for wireless headsets and stereo headphones - ie audio listening applications. The new APIs allow apps to use the BT to connect to 3rd party devices for some functionality (though I have not seen a device that has implemented this yet). Regardless, the iPhone does not support any manner of file transfer or sync via BT

There are some apps that will let you send photos from one iOS device to another over BT.

  • My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calles does not work.  It looks like it is working but doesn't.  I have tried in my Hyundai and a Dodge rent car and get the same results.  I updated the last 8.0.2.

My iphone 6 connects to the car via bluetooth, the music works good, but the phone calls does not work.  It looks like it is working but doesn't.  I have tried in my Hyundai Sonata and a Dodge Dart rent car and get the same results.  I updated the last 8.0.2.  It worked the first day i had the phone, and then i updated to Ios 8.0.2 and it quit working.
Now when i get in the car, it acts like it is connected and makes the same call it was on after syncing to bluetooth, but it really isn't on a call.  This is happening on both cars.
Does anyone know if this is the phone and i need to take it to Apple or if there is an issue that Apple is working on getting a fix for?
My son in law has the exact same phone as me, we both got the on 10/6, he had a Dodge Dart and his is working via bluetooth.
Someone HELP please, as i consider this a safety issue by not having my calls go to bluetooth.

We had the same problem, but figure out the solution.
You MUST have at least 1 song added to your ITUNE!  After you add a free song, then everything else should work as normal!
    Hope this helps!

Is it possible to connect an external camera via bluetooth to the Iphone 4 and use it with Facetime, if not.. why?

Ok, in 2015 is it possible now? I would like to use an iPad and Face to share content between a dressmaker in Asia and a customer in the US, and I would like to attach better camera's than the built-in camera's on the devices.
Any thoughts? Any updates to the original post?
    Thanks,

  • MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works with bluetooth Apple Mouse

MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works fine with bluetooth Apple Mouse. When trying to pair with the iPhone it says "The Bluetooth Network is unavailable. There was an error connecting to your device. Make sure the device is turned on and in range." When trying to connect to the Jambox it says "Bluetooth audio failed. There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted." The iPhone and Jambox pair together fine, and I have paired with both the iPhone and the Jambox easily in the past. I haven't updated anything - it just stopped working with these two devices. This is very frustrating.

I could not pair with Uconnect on a 2011 Jeep after upgrading to iOS 8.2 on an iPhone 6. After shutting off iCloud and resetting network settings I was able to successfully pair the phone to Uconnect

  • I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth.

I cannot pair my Macbook Air (Yosemite) with my iPhone or iPad via Bluetooth. It is recognising the devices but 'connection unsuccessful'

That is correct.  Macs do not pair to iPhones, iPads, etc.
However, pairlng is not required to get Handoff to work.  Both devices must have Bluetooth on, but they need not (indeed cannot) be paired.
OS X Yosemite: Pick up where you left off with Handoff
You must be using supported devices:

You can't buy the part from Creative as a spare.
I'm not sure how compatible other parts might be, but that would be a question for someone who really knows a lot about this area of electronics.
The Creative repair for this is likely to be expensi've, but the problem is most likely a broken solder connection than an actual new headphone socket. So if you know someone experienced in surface mount soldering you could probably get it repaired just with this.

how to connect internet on iPhone 4s ?????????

Do you have a data plan with your carrier?
Is the device successfully connecting to their network?
Is the device connected to Wi-Fi?
Do other devices connected to the Wi-Fi successfully connect to the Internet?
Instead of asking such a vague question... maybe a better solution would be to state what is actually occurring when you attempt to do anything on the device that requires an Internet connection

How can I get my G4 to connect to my hx4705 via bluetooth?

Last night I discovered my daughter can connect her iPod Touch 5 (iOS 8.0.2) to my iPhone 5 (also iOS 8.0.2) using the Personal Hotspot function (via Bluetooth) even when Personal Hotspot is set to OFF on my phone.  Is that really working as intended by Apple?
If she tries to connect via WIFI, she cannot unless I have the Personal Hotspot set to ON.  OK good, that makes sense!
If she connects via Bluetooth though, she always sees my phone and if she selects that connection, it turns my Personal Hotspot on my phone from OFF to ON.  That just seems odd to me.  I'd prefer to restrict that.  I have noticed that even if I change my password on the Personal Hotspot, it does not matter.  If she selects that connection via Bluetooth, BOOM...  It changes it on my phone from OFF to ON.
Anyone else notice this?  Sure, I can turn off Bluetooth on my phone to stop it, but I use BT quite a bit for speakers and in my car.  I usually prefer to leave it ON.  She also uses BT for her wireless speaker.
IMO, Apple should change that to if I have my personal Hotspot set to OFF, it should not be visible at all unless I turn it ON (like it works over the wifi connection).
Personal hotspot is a carrier feature.

  • How to connect 2 iPod classics with bluetooth

I am trying to sync photos between 2 iPod classics, iPad4 and iphone 5 with blue tooth. The only devices that are seeing each other is the iPhone and iPad but still hasn't' synced the photos. Why re the apple devices not able to see each other?

    Havilah Farm wrote:
Why re the apple devices not able to see each other?
Because that's the way Apple have designed it. They have used a particular Bluetooth protocol that is designed to allow audio to be transmitted to Bluetooth headphones or Bluetooth speakers (for example) and some peer-to-peer gaming between the devices, but not the transfer of files.
To transfer photos, Sync them via your iTunes programme. If you took the photos on the device, transfer them to your computer first and then Sync them with the other devices. For photos that were not taken on the device, they presumably were Synced from your computer originally, so simply Sync them to your other devices from the computer.
By the way, your subject question: "how to connect two iPod Classics with Bluetooth"...
You cannot. The Classic does not have Bluetooth.

  • HT201205 Problems connecting 5s to ipad via Bluetooth

Cannot connect ipad and 5s via Bluetooth. Both running ios7.
Wasted a whole evening with tech support rebuilding both devices with the same outcome.
    Anyone else having this problem?

Tethering is something completly different. That same support article also says that you can use Peer to Peer bluetooth connections for applications. I also found an application that allows you to send files via bluetooth from my iphone to another or ipod touch or ipad. It is call BlueWaves. Tethering would in theory allow you to connect your iPhone to your iPad and use the internet from the iPhone on the iPad. Apple would not allow this because they have a 3G model coming out. Plus the iPhone is capable of internet tethering but ATT has blocked it from the phones until their network becomes more stable. I hope the information and that application help you accomplish what you would like to.
