How to convert a file name to title case

hi,
I have document library where name is displayed for the file that is uploaded. How do I convert the name to a calculated column =PROPER([name])? I've tried creating a new column, which is a calculated field =PROPER([name]) but it doesn't recognized
the field. There is the title column which I can do a =PROPER([title]), but the title field isn't necessarily the same as the file name. Ideally, I want to convert to title case for any file uploaded. so the Name column is in the PROPER case. Thanks.

"Title" is a field on the entity in the database. "Name" is what uniquely identifies the SPFile underlying the document.
So you can think of Title as pretty arbitrary; you can change it just like you would change any other property (description, etc.) but if you change the Name, it is akin to moving the file. Names must be unique in folders/webs.

How can I hide file names in a photostream?

How can I hide file names in a shared photo stream on icloud. I don't want people to see how many pictures I take at an event. Can this be done to pictures already posted?

The Shared Photo Stream uses the filename of the original image file as the title that is shown in the stream. If you want to hide the original filename, export the image to a folder in the Finder, rename it, then reimport it to share it. You can rename the files directly when exporting.
Or, if you do not mind to change the names of the originals in Aperture use the command "Metadata > Batch change" and change the title of the image, with the option "Apply to Original file" enabled and "Add metadata from" set to "None".
To rename the photos already shared, delete them from the Shared Album and share them again.

I get this message when I try to import some CD's to my library.
A window pops up and says

The file name was invalid or to long.
Anyone else ever get this message, and how can you import CD's???????

I'm on a windows box at work, so I cant verify the accuracy.

Just go for dynamic configuration.
Check the sender file adapter to write the filename in the header (as explained in Michal's blog) and then read that header in some mapping.
U can use that even in simple message mappings.

So it seems from reading the COMMAND manual that my first issue is that I used a 16GB SD card, and the manual says it will only recogize up to a 2GB SD card. I did use my MB Air's SD card slot and crated a folder and dragged the music files to it, then to the card. So I am going to get a 2GB card and try that next. Otherwise just stick with the iPOD connected. At least that is 8GB

Here is a complete project to copy all the files with the added "ABL," at the start of each line. You need to start a new Project with a BLANK default Form1, and replace all of Form1 code with the code below. When you run this project, you

sorry i am new in uix xml.
my question is how to save/access file name in DB returned by FileUploadManager.
I have used example Using a Controller in ADF UIX. Its uploading the file fine but i am not able to save this filename in DB so that i can access later.
I only want to upload the files in Web Server not DB so only i need file name to save in DB.

you can use the movieclip properties, currentLabel (the current or previous, if there is no current, frame label), currentFrameLabel (may be null ) and currentLabels (an array of the movieclip's frame labels).

Unable to convert the file name in Target directory

Dear Experts,
Currently iam facing a problem with some files.my interface is a File to file .As per the interface the sender will pick the flatfiles from source directory which the file name was BNP_NE201.txt once my file reached to target directory the name of the file willrenamed as VENDOR_Payment.NE201 automatically for this they have done some OS level script in receiver communication channel of the first interface which we have added "un operating system command after message processing" in processing parameters tab.again one more sender comm channel wil pick the file from first target directory which is having naming convesion of "VENDOR_Payment.NE201 " and post it to target. all the two interfaces are file to file (NFS) . for a parctuclar day files has been posted to 1 st target directory and the receiver communication channel is not yet convert the file names bcz of that the second communication channel can't able to pick the files from target directory. for some times that is working fine and some times it is unable to convert.
from our side i check every thing .could you please suggest me the way to approch

You need to wait until the file is converted. After when it is converted then the second interface sender communication channel will pick the files.
What do u mean by unable to convert?
Is it unable to do the content conversion? if so then check the data as you said that it sometimes it works fine.
