I want the output of smartform to be saved in doc format. I don't want to view the printpreview screen and then save it. The way we save the output in pdf format I want it to be done in doc format. Please don't suggest this option
After the print preview, Select the menu Goto->List Display.
Now select the menu System->List->Save->Local File.
Now you can select the radio buttion Rich Text Format.
Now you save the document as a .doc file (say test.doc)

then use function

to upload into

I'm now able to save the retrieved xml in a hidden text field and create dynamic table, and I'm able to fill this table from the XML, but the problem is that I could not find the correct way to loop on the xml, what I'm trying to say, the table will have number of rows with the data of the first row only, so can you tell me the right way to loop on the xml!

But it still display the alv list , and I must click button 'BACK' ,then it return my add on program.
I hope to skip the alv list (does not display the alv list ) .

Hi Colin,
I dont think you would be able to skip the ALV output using SUBMIT. However try changing the value of sy-lsind after the submit statement.
SUBMIT RMVKON00
AND RETURN EXPORTING LIST TO MEMORY.
sy-lsind = sy-lsind - 1.
If that doesnt work then try using JOB_START JOB_SUBMIT, JOB_CLOSE...

How to convert Chineese script O/P into PDF?

I have a requirement like "Irrespective of login language i need to send both english as well as chineese PDF's to multiple recepients.I m using CONVERT_OTF FM to do so.So when i login into EN and run the script english PDF comes fine but in chineese PDF i m getting chineese Descriptions as junk values.
I am providing a piece of code.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CLOSE_FORM'
         TABLES
              otfdata = tb_otf
         EXCEPTIONS
              OTHERS = 1.
I am not using spool concept instead i m taking the script output into tb_otf while closing the script o/p.
Then i am calling FM CONVERT_OTF to convert that tb_otf into PDF format.
So how can i avoid those chineese characters coming as junk values.
will CONVERT_OTF work for other languages because inside the FM there is a statement "cur_system_lang = SY-LANGU." In my case sy-lang will be either EN or Chineese.
Kindly provide some solution.

How to print the top of page part along with the ALV list and generate PDF

         I have created one ALV by using oops concept .
         and also am able to get the top of page where I have One standard logo on the right hand side
         and some details on the left side .
           Now my requirement is to while printing the list the logo and other top of page details should appear
           In the PDF output but currently while am pressing the print preview button only the alv data is coming
          am already using the method
    handle_top_of_page
      FOR EVENT print_top_of_page
             OF cl_gui_alv_grid,
may be am missing something ... How to get the top of page along with the logo printed ?

After generating the grid display click on print button,
a spool number is generated. capture the spool number and convert it to pdf using the fm:
CONVERT_ABAPSPOOLJOB_2_PDF and save the file

How to convert the numeric to date format

     We have created the date KF and selected the data type as DEC-numeric or counter and add in the cube.
      the data for this fields in the cube are in numerics like 734.504, but when we execute the report it is converted in to date format dd.mm.yyyy.
                My issue how this conversion is working in the backend while executing the report.

Conversion is happening because of the type you had selected for the KF while creating it.
Check the type of the Key figure?
While creating the KF you might have selected the Type as Date and Data type -DEC : Counter or amount field with comma and sign.
that's the reason why you are getting the output values displayed in dd.mm.yyyy format.
For amount field - create a KF with type "AMOUNT" and unit -0currency or specify the currency of that region.

I think my question is not clear.
when I execute my report in background mode, I can able to see the output in the spool.
But when I execute the same report in foreground no spool output is getting generated.
To handle this I am calling some function modules like RSPO_OPEN_SPOOLREQUEST , RSPO_WRITE_SPOOLREQUEST, RSPO_WRITE_SPOOLREQUEST. But by using this i cannot able to get the desired output in alv list display format. what to do to get my desired output.
