How to convert time from (hh:mm:ss) to (hhmmss) in CSV file

Hi Experts,
I have a CSV file where there is time column which displays time like hh:mm:ss
But the input I should give for loading the data is hhmmss
The amount of records that I have is more than 2 lakhs. I tried many ways to convert the time but I'm unsuccessful.
Can anyone tell me how do I convert the format please.
Thanks

Hi,
You can create a custom infoobject length 6 (say mytime) to read the data from csv file.
In the field routine assign the 6 character length info object to the required time IO(system time) with routine.
Inside the field routine...
result = source_fields-mytime.
The system will take care of conversion as per the user master setting.
Thanks,
Jugal.

    Hi,
    You can use FM HRVE_CONVERT_TIME to convert time to 24 hour format.
    Pass B in TYPE_TIME parameter and time you wish to convert to along with AM/PM in INPUT_AM_PM parameter.

  • How to subtract time from dateTime in xquery?

    How to subtract time from dateTime in xquery??
    In ALDSP i tried to use the function xf:add-days but it is showing an error saying invalid function name. I think this namespace is not valid for ALDSP. Is there is any way to add this function in ALDSP???

    xquery functions and operators documentation is here :
    http://www.w3.org/TR/xpath-functions/
    It sounds like you want to ..
    op:subtract-dayTimeDuration-from-dateTime
    this is not an xquery function that you can call, it is an xquery operation defined by the specification
    I believe you can simply use the '-' operator to use that operation.
    <newDateTime>
    { $myDateTime - $myTime }
    </newDateTime>

    Note that this does not change the iTunes account of these songs. This simply adds them to the iTunes library you are using.
    Also note than once you do this, you will have to wait 90 days to redownload any iTunes purchases from any other iTunes account, including the original iTunes account.

    can you emil me the picture of the step about how to  loaded individual values of the hierarchy using CSV file
    thank you very much
    my emil is <Removed>
    allen

    Step 1: Load Required Master Data for 0CostCenter in to BI system
    Step 2: Enable Characteristics to support Hierarchy for this 0Cost Center and specify the External Characteristic(In the Lowest Node or Last Node) while creation of this Characteristic InfoObject
    Step 3: On Last Node of Hierarchy Structure in the InfoObject, Right Click and then Create Hierarchy MANUALLY by Inserting the Master Data Value as BI dosent Support the Hierarchy load directly you need to do it manually....
    Step 4: Mapping
    Create Text Node thats the first node (Root Node)
    Insert Characteristic Nodes
    Insert the Last Node of the Hierarchy
    Then you need to create a Open hub Destination for extracting data into the .csv file...
    Step1 : Create the Open Hub Destination give the Master Data table name and enter all the fields required....and create the transformations for this Open Hub connecting to the External file or excel file source...then give the location on to your local disk or path of the server in the first tab and request for the data...It should work alright let me know if you need anything else...

  • How do I convert time from hours and minutes to decimal time

    I am making a spread sheet a work for payroll. I need to make a formula that converts the time from hours and minutes to decimal time. Please help

    Hi Taryn,
    I can't see much from the photo, but I assume your formula is similar to the one I've used below:
    The same formula is used in F4 and F6, and both return the same result (shown in F4).
    F4 was left on "automatic" cell format, and the column widened to accomodate the repeating decimal to the point where Numbers would begin displaying zeros.
    F6 was formatted as shown in the Cell Inspector to show only two decimal places.
    Neither of these is an "exact" decimal, as it is not possible to use a decimal fraction to "exactly" represent 1/6 (or 10/60).
    The likely reasons for yours showing a whole number of hours is a difference between your formula and the one shown in the example here, or a difference in the number of decimal places set in the cell's format.
    Regards,
    Barry

    Place the mouse pointer at the top left corner of the area you want to nclude in the shot.
    Press shift-command-4.
    Use the mouse to drag a selection rectangle contining the part of the screen you want to include.
    Release the mouse button. (You'll hear the sound of a camera shutter 'snapping' the picture.)
    The screen shot will be saved to your desktop with the name 'screen shot' followed by the date and time.

  • How to convert Time stamp format in CR

    Dear all Expert,
    I have a question. I have a field in my CR which is date time. It show 24.03.2011 03:30:00 in the tables. But when i drop this field in my CR, it become 20,100,906,080,000.00. How to convert it to 24.03.2011 03:30:00 in CR?
    Thank You.

    Hi Alex,
    If cdatetime won't work, try the following by creating a formula . Note : replace your time with database date field i.e. date_4.
    WhilePrintingRecords;
    Stringvar date4:=totext('24.03.2011 03:30:00');
    Numbervar yr;
    Numbervar mon;
    Numbervar dt;
    numbervar hh;
    numbervar mm;
    numbervar ss;
    yr:=tonumber(mid(date4,7,4));
    mon:=tonumber(mid(date4,4,2));
    dt:=tonumber(left(date4,2));
    hh:=tonumber(mid(date4,12,2));
    mm:=tonumber(mid(date4,15,2));
    ss:=tonumber(mid(date4,18,2));
    cdatetime(yr,mon,dt,hh,mm,ss);
    Thanks,

    How to solve this problem?
    Please Help!

    What do you mean - 'how does it work' ? All format classes (MessageFormat, DecimalFormat , SimpleDateFormat etc) are used to convert data from one form to other. Go through the java.text.* api. They work based on some pattern searches, pattern matches etc - dont know in detail :)
    As for the other things, thanks :)

  • How to get Time from Different Work Station on the Network

    Hi,
    How do I get time from different work station on the network using its ip:port etc.
    Lets say, my main server-side Java application is running on a work station 123.12.123.1:1527,
    the client-side applications are accessing it using above IP.
    what I wanna do is, use the time of 123.12.123.1 machine throughout the application, not client local time.

    can you send me the java codeIt's just three flippin lines of code. One to create the SimpleDateFormat instance for which you will have to define the format since I don't know it. One line to set the Timezone. One line to call the parse() method. The Javadoc gives the detail.
