How to copy my Safari Bookmarks to another apple ID device

Hi all,
I have my own iMac with my own Safari bookmarks.
My wife used to share my bookmarks on iMac, but now she has her own iPad with her apple id, so she can't see my bookmarks on iPad.
I already tried to export my bookmarks and send to her by email (html file), but it's not working properly.
Any of you have the solution for my problem?
Thanks in advance.

If the privacy issue doesn't bother you, you can sync bookmarks between devices via iCloud.

  • How do I share Safari bookmarks with another Apple ID  in iOS 8?

My husband and I share the same Safari bookmarks, calendar, contacts, reminders, notes.  We've always been able to share tall of them across his devices by adding my Apple ID account to my spouse's devices in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars under settings.  The only thing I do not share is my email on his device.
But with iOS 8, it doesn't allow me to share Safari bookmarks, it only allows me to share my calendar, reminders, notes, and contacts.
We have an iMac with my Apple ID, running on Yosemite; all devices are on iOS 8.

I am having the same challenge. If you find a solution please share it.

  • HT3819 How can I share my music with another apple ID device

Can I share the music on my iPad with another iPad, the other iPad has a different Apple ID

The correct answer to your question is No - you cannot "share" Music with another device using a different Apple ID. Can you make it work - yes you can.
You do not want to sign into the other Apple ID and download the purchased music because you will lock yourself out of your own Apple ID for 90 days. Apple does this in order to discourage users from "sharing" purchased content that they did not buy themselves.
Whatever you decide to do, just don't download the music from the purchased tab in iTunes, because you don't want to lock yourself out of your own ID for 90 days.

  • How copy safari bookmarks to another mac

I would like to transfer Safari bookmarks from one Mac to another Safari operating on a different Mac

    Hi refalci,
The easiest way to copy your Safari bookmarks to a different Mac is to export them from Mac #1, and import the resulting .html file into Safari on Mac #2.
You can copy the .html file to a thumb drive or email it to yourself and open it on the second Mac.
You indicated that you are using Mavericks OS X on your computer, so here are the instructions for Safari 6 or 7.
Safari 6/7 (Mavericks): Import and export bookmarks
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH17154
    Open the Safari application, then:
    Export bookmarks:
Choose File > Export Bookmarks. The exported file is called “Safari Bookmarks.html.”
On the second computer, open Safari and import the file that you emailed or saved to a thumb drive:
    Import bookmarks:
Choose File > Import Bookmarks. Most bookmark files have an extension of .html or .plist.After you import bookmarks, they appear at the bottom of the sidebar in a new folder whose name begins with “Imported” and ends with the date.
    Hope that helps ...

  • TS4001 How can I share Safari bookmarks between two iCloud accounts using IOS 7 and Mavericks?

Before iOS 7 and Mavericks, we were able to share Safari bookmarks between all of our devices.  My wife had the primary iCloud account which was setup to share bookmarks, contacts, calendars and reminders.  A secondary iCloud account was setup on my phone for only my email.  Each phone had our private email accounts segregated and we shared all the bookmarks, contacts, calendars and reminders.  When I saved a bookmark on my phone, I could see it later on our iMac or iPad.  Now only my wife can sync bookmarks between her phone and the iMac or iPad.  This *****!!  This worked beautifully before we upgraded to the latest versions of OS & iOS.  Is there a work around or a new way to set things up?  I don't want to be stuck reading Safari on my phone when I have a 24" iMac sitting in the living room.  I don't want to see all of my wife's email on my phone either.  Do we need three iCloud accounts now?  One main for sharing and two separate accounts for only email?  Need help!  Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

    David,
Thanks for the reply.  That's how I set it up originally.  Although the new iOS 7 update lost some functionality.  I found the following on the TUAW website.  The Safari Bookmarks and Find My Phone options have been removed from the secondary iCloud accounts options.  This is the problem.  Everything worked great before we updated.  I guess "new way" consolidates the iCloud accounts better with Maverick?  Now I will have extra documents on my phone that I don't need.  We will both have to share the same iCloud storage and backup space too.  Have to try it out and see how it works. Thanks.

  • How do i transfer safari bookmarks to new iphone 6 plus

how do i transfer safari bookmarks from an iphone 4s to a new iphone 6 plus?

All you need to do is make a backup of your iPhone 5, either in iCloud or iTunes and then restore your new iPhone 6 to that backup. When you say you are getting this message about Find My iPhone, have you set that up already in the new phone? Importing photos from the iPhone to the computer does not require Find My iPhone, just an import utility on the computer, depending on your computer OS.

By enabling Screen Sharing in the Sharing preferences. Both computers need to be connected to your local network, preferably by Ethernet.

  • How do I transfer Safari bookmarks from one computer to another?

I have 3 macs and want to have the same bookmarks on each...is there an easy way to do this? Thanks in advance! I have Safari 4.0.4.

    Hi
you could use Safari's File-Export Bookmarks function... and then import
or copy the file 'Bookmarks.plist' over from Home/Library/Safari/ - although I've seen a few cases lately where some 'custom' permissions have seemingly resulted from this, making the transferred file effectively read-only, so no new bookmarks can be added. Certainly I've done it that way, w/o any problems.

  • How to delete a Safari bookmark in the Dock?

    Hi all,
Sometime over the course of the past day or so, either I or a family member visited a website that apparently put a Safari bookmark in my dock. At least that's what it looks like. I actually haven't clicked on it, since I didn't put it there.
The problem is, I can't figure out how to remove it. When I option-click on it, there's no option for removing it from the dock, like there is whenever I option-click one of the other icons.
Here's a screenshot of the icon. It's the little Safari icon next to the trash can.
And here's another that shows it's label:
Not sure how it got there. All I know is that when I opened up Safari this evening, a little movement -- like something moved to the download folder in the dock -- caught my eye, and when I looked down to the bottom right of the screen, I saw this icon in the dock. I didn't dare click on it, since I don't know if it's actually an app or something that shouldn't be on the computer. It doesn't appear that anything got downloaded. At least nothing new is in the download folder.
How do I get rid of this bookmark? As the graphic above shows, there's no option for "delete," and dragging it away from the dock doesn't work.

Try holding down the command key while clicking and hold it. Pull it away from the Dock until you see a puff of smoke.

  • How do you transfer Safari bookmarks to a new MAC?

I have a G4 Tower (Jaguar) but just got an iMac G5 (that will be Tiger). How do I transfer my Safari bookmarks to my new MAC? THX, Barb

Your new iMac has a feature as part of the setup to migrate all your existing user settings (and applications if you wish) from your G4 (you connect the two systems using a Firewire cable), so that's probably the easiest way.
If you just want the Safari bookmarks, though, and nothing else, they're in your users' Library -> Safari folder, the file names Bookmarks.plist. Just copy that file to the same folder on your new iMac.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to find my Safari bookmarks and passwords without opening safari?

    Hi!
I have a big big problem!
I had a system crash-thought I could recover via TimeMachine and oops there was an error and it turned out impossible. I had a clean install but my problem is that I really needed my old data- I can get it all from Time Machine as I can browse it just like as if I actually had the old system.
I copied the folder "default" from adium into the newly installed adium and there were all my contacts login details etc...
But I have no idea where to find my Safari bookmarks. I really need them. I also have trouble recalling some of my passwords which were remembered by Safari. Please tell me which files should I replace from the old system into the new system in order to retrieve my bookmarks. Thanks in advance for any help:)

    That doesn't help.
why? Have you tried it? what happens?
    Where should I look?
    I need those bookmarks...
Copy the directory /Users/username/Library/Safari from the old disk to the corresponding location on the new one. The file with bookmarks is bookmarks.html from that directory.
However, I think Safari passwords are stored in the keychain. That would be in the directory
    /Users/username/Library/Keychains

  • How do I sync Safari bookmarks to update on iPad?

Years ago, when I first had the iPhone and iTunes on my Mac, Safari bookmarks would always update from bookmarks on my Mac and reflect accordingly on the iPhone. I also see that bookmarks do not update on my iPad now either. How do I get back the behavior from the 'good old days' to make safari bookmarks update when I sync my iPad and iPhone through iTunes on the Mac? There must be some settings that have been changed, but I have not been able to search them out in settings.
    Please Help,
    TIA,
    Ken

Just posting here has made me start searching other similar posts, and while the exact answer was not written here I began searching my iTunes settings and saw that iCloud is the culprit. I do not use iCloud as it keeps giving me an error message that my username is wrong. What a world, I have no idea how to fix that nor do I care about iCloud. I simply want my phone to sync with my computer. I did find that settings to turn off iCloud were on my phone and I suppose also on my iPad which I will look at next.
I turned off all iCloud links on my iPhone and now the bookmarks came beautifully over from my computer to my iPhone.
Thanks Apple for having these forums to help users.
