  How can i create a transaction for insert/modify/delete entries for a table?

Hi,
First u nee dto create Table maintenace genaertor for that table.
go to se11.--> table name --> change
Mebu options: > Utilities> table maintenace gen (or Tcode SE55)
Fill the following
Authorisation group : &NC&( or group specified by Functiopnal owner)
Function group:
Maintrenace type: 1 step
Maint screen: 6
SAVE.
Now after craeting Table maintenace genarator, u haveto attach tcode.
Go to SE93
Give ur tcode  for table.
Check : Transaction with parameters.
continue...
Transaction :   SM30
check SKIP INITIAL SCREEN
Check all the check boxes of GUI support.
under Name of screen field :
TABLE VIEW             : table name
UPDATE                    : X
Rvert back if nay issues.
Reward with oints if helpful.

  • Maintenance View - Can you sort/Filter? How to create z transaction for it?

    Hi,
    I will be creating a maintenance view that will be used several times at the end of every month, eventually storing more than 500 entries.
    Is there anyway for the user to be able to sort/filter the maintenance view by field? This would be helpful, since they would like to see what similar records are stored before adding others.
    What are my options?
    Also, how do you create a transaction code to go straight to the maintenance view instead of having to go through SM30?
    Please help.

    Option1:
    We canu2019t give the sort button (as we give in the nomal reports). But if you know like - based on what field user want to see the sorted output(lets say field MATNR)? then we can create an Event for the table maintainance generator using SE11 and write the code. In this code we sort the output that will be displayed in SM30 as per the requirement.
    Also, how do you create a transaction code to go straight to the maintenance view instead of having to go through SM30?.
    Go-to SE93 and choose the option u201Ctransaction with parametersu201D and give the t.code as SM30 and Check Skip initial screen.

    2) In Delivery and Maintenance TAB
    i) Delivery Class as A ( most of the times)
    ii) Data Browser/Table View Maint. as "Display/Maintenance Allowed"
    3) Enter the required fields.
    4) Goto Technical Settings.Enter the appropriate data
    5) Then go to Utilities-->Table Maintenance Generator
    i) Enter the Authorization Group (Varies from project to project...when no authorization required give &NC& )
    ii)Function Group as "Table Name"
    iii)Package varies from project to project
    iv)Maintenance Type as "One Step"
    a)Give overview Screen Number (Your own number..but remember)
    b)Single Screen "Any number"(it can be 0 also)
    6) Then click on the white color create button on menu bar(Create)
    7) To view the maintenance Screen Transaction is SM30(There you need to give the table name)
    8) If you want to change the description of the fields,alignment,mandatory,greying the fields,Validations and many more
    goto SE51 enter program name as "SAPL(TABLE NAME) EX:SAPLZH116 and enter the screen number what you gave in the step 5,iv,a.
    9)If u want to have a transaction to table maintenance
    a)Go to SE93
    b)Choose "Transaction with Parameters" Radio button
    c)Give the Package Name which is given in 5,iii
    d)Give transaction as SM30
    e)Choose Skip Initial Screen
    f)In GUI Support Choose all the three options
    g) In the default values Tab
    Name of the Screen Field Value
    UPDATE X
    VIEWNAME (Enter Table Name)
    After doing this goto se93..in 9(a)
    1.In the home page create a prgm name..
    2.give the description below description choose anyone suitable to ur project
    3.Give the program name and screen number
    4.In sap gui area enable all the check boxes...

    Get the DD and MM value from your date field

    According to my project requirements, I need to create tables in a different schema than the default location provided.
    hence I have created my tables using the SQL client rather than creating the Dictionary project and then deploying.
    But I have to create a .sda file for these tables in SQL database, so the problem is that I can't see the tables in my Dictionary perspective of NWDS, to create the archive.
    So is there any other alternative to create a sda file for these tables so that I can transport these tables to another location.

    You have to create a java dictionary project.
    As without project you can not create a .sda file.there is no relationship between a database level table and .sda..
    .sda is an archive of java dictionary projects...

  • Unable to create Entity objects for tables in TimesTen database using ADF

    Hi,
    I am not able to create Entity and View objects for tables in TimesTen database using ADF. I have installed TimesTen client on my machine.
    I have created a database connection by using connection type as "Generic JDBC" and giving driver class and JDBC URL. I am attaching screen shot of the same.
    I am right clicking on Model project and selecting New option after that I am selecting ADF Business components and in it I am selecting Business components from tables and there I am querying for tables.I am getting list of tables and when I am trying to create a Entity object from the table after clicking finish Jdev is closing by itself giving an error.
    Can anyone please help me how to create Entity objects for tables using TimesTen as database.I might be missing some jars or the way I am creating connection might be wrong or any plugins required to connect to TimesTen.

    What is the actual error being given by Jdev? Are you sure that the JDBC connection is using the TimesTen JDBC driver JAR and not some other JDBC driver or the Generic JDBC/ODBC bridge?
    Is ADF even supported with TimesTen?

    Check this:
    Table maintennace generator is used to create screen to maintain values in a table. Once you create maint generator you can goto transaction SM30 and add data to table . In SAP it is more relevant to customizing data.
    Create a table maintance program for a z table :
    In transaction SE11, in the attribute tab of your z table check table maintenance check box. Go to SM30 transaction, enter the ztable name and click on maintain button. Here you can enter new entries into the ztable .
    Or
    You can create a PARAMETER TRANSACTION for the transaction for SM30 .
    Follow these steps :
    1. go to transaction SE93 , give your own transaction code say ztran_tab, for maintaining your ztable.
    2. Click on create button and check the radio button Transaction with parameters (PARAMETER TRANSACTION) and click on the tick button.
    3. In the next screen enter default values:
    transaction : SM30
    check the check box skip initial screen
    4. Scroll down you will find a table control for default values
    Name of the screen field | value
    VIEWNAME | your ztable name
    SHOW | X
    Save your work.
    Now as you have created a custom transaction for maintaining your ztable this transaction can be called from any program with CALL transaction 'XXX'.

    Go to transaction SE93, enter a transaction code that you want and click on "create". Enter a text and select the "Transaction with Parameters" button. In the Default Values section, enter START_REPORT in the transaction field. Check the "skip initial screen" box. In the Name of Screen field section enter the following lines:
    Name of screen field:                               Value
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORTTYPE                RW
    D_SREPOVARI-REPORT                        ZPCA
    Save and transport accordingly.

    Hello,
    You cannot create a Web Service for an ABAP program/transaction directly. You have to move the logic into an RFC. Only RFC, BAPI & Business Object can be converted to Web Service using the Wizard.
