How to create a view to show files Group By Title and Version

Hi,
I am trying to create a view in a document library as follows.
1. Group by File Title.
2. Group by Version.
like following image
- In this image i want to replace "Version:" with file name.
- In next line, DocV1 has 3 versions. Then it should be displayed in a stacked version with latest version at top and next 2 versions below it.
Please tell me how could i do that?

I am using Jdev 11.1.1.6 and new to ADF, my application require to populate menu which would be different for different groups of user, and the user in each group would have different submenu depends on their responsibilities assigned to each one of them.
so on the top level would be menu_top_item1, menue_top_item2
|-->submenu1_1 |-->submenu2_1
|-->submenu1_2 |-->submenu2_2
also the menu would need to be on_mouse_over to show the submenu items or collapsed back.
any idea what would be the best approch? or is there any example around?

You can use ADF Security to control access to menu options.

Does anyone have any sql that will show the Business Area, Report Name, Owner and who it is shared with?
I can get the three last items with no problem; the difficulty is including the BA Name.

Thanks a lot. I am really new to the Discoverer Arena. We are currently using EUL5. Can you please direct me to the correct product to be installed and how will I actually get all the related worksheets for a specific workbook. Currently I have access to EUL5 tables. Is it what you are referring to? However using the EUL5 schema tables I cannot get the related worksheets of a particular workbook.
Would be really helpful if you could tell me in detail to solve this? I am somewhat confused heaps of Oracle products. Any other takers welcome

How to create a button to get File Open popup window and select a file

Hi,
I have an applet that contains Browse button. When user clicks on that, a File Open popup window should be displayed to enable user to select the input file. This file path should be given back as parameter.
How to do this? I have tried using LoadFileData but not able to get the desired result.

Do you need only the path or also the file back into Siebel?
If you need both, the have a look at any attachment applet, that will give you a good start.
Are you using Siebel in High Interactivity (HI) Mode or Standard Interactivity (SI) Mode?
If you are in SI Mode have a look at the html type

could you help me with a issue. I want to know where i can add the text in english in the groups of the fse2 , because i have tha configuration with spanish text but when i execute the f.01 with the language EN the system do not give text in English. So could you help me?

I just tried it with our FSV, system language is EN and i executed the report in DE. I could see german texts but not on the FS items.
I dont know, if that is possible because these are custom texts/input fields from you as compared to the system text converted to the required language on the report header and other layout fields
If you want the FS items to also show text in 2 languages, i recommend creating another FSV in the alternate language and using it.

Does any one know how to create an applet that shows a pdf document (should make that pdf a non-editable one) while clicking a link.Its urgent for me as I have to complete this one tomorrow itself...please help me...
I am able to view the pdf document but that cannot be make a non-editable one.
Can anyone gave me the code for that one....please I am not very much good in Java.

PDF is a proprietary format and Java doesn't support it by default. Are you using a 3rd party tool to create the PDF? If so, you need to review the developer docs to see how to make the document non-editable. Frankly, I don't see why you're using an Applet to view a PDF in the first place. What exactly are you trying to do. I'm confused.

In the component click on view qith the right button and select "Create View" follow the steps. Its a very simple wizard.

Hi,
How to create a view which needs Oracle apps org initialization to provide the correct data .
The purpose of the view is to be accessed in Primavera DB via a DB link for reporting purpose.
So how should the org be initialized so that the view returns the correct data when accessed from the remote data base using the DB link?
EX: step1 run fnd_client_info.set_org_context for the org
step2 query the veiw returns correct data in Oracle.
How can this be achieved if the view needs to be accessed via DB link?

from po_distributions_all pod

Hi,
This is not possible in Oracle. What u can do is create the view without the where clasue and supply the where clause at runtime.

This does not make sense. How can a view be a NUMBER(5) and the actual column a NUMBER(12)?
What happens if there is a 10 or 12 digit number in the table? Just what is the view suppose to do? Crash and burn? Where is the logic in that?!
If the table's column has an incorrect precision and size, THEN FIX IT!! Do not hack it with view!
It is silly purposefully building constructs into the database that can easily result in run-time errors.
