How to create an ad banner using Flash Catalyst

This should be an easy question to answer...I've been able to create a variety of ad banners using Flash Catalyst but none of the online tutorials show how to link the ad banner to a URL...i.e. when someone clicks on the banner. I don't like the idea of having to create a button + Go To URL (on click) because the button doesn't appear on all screens/states, etc.
Is there a way to turn the entire project into a button without losing the animation action? i.e. so that no matter what state the banner is in, if someone clicks on it, they go to the URL?

Thanks for your advice. It's for our own sites, so we can accept the overhead.
The animation is simply fade in image, fade out image, fade in text message, fade out text message, fade in next image, etc.
So, when you say "they are instead wrapped inside a single custom component", I understand it conceptually but need a few details:
1. Does this mean I first create the custom component (before doing anything else)?
2. At what point to I import/load my Photoshop file with all of the layers?

done lots of searching online and used Adobe's Flash Classroom in a
Book and also took an online ed2go class and I still don't have a
good handle on Flash. Nothing seems to give clear step by step
directions on animating images for web banners. You just have to do

How to created a voting list in Flash Catalyst

Hi!
What I'm trying to accomplish is for a user to select an item in a list by checking a radio button then with that one item selected click a "vote" button and then have that vote recorded. Is this possible?
what I have created so far is a Datalist with 46 items. The repeated item consists of a radio button, a small image and the name of the item. What I'd like to happen is for the use to select the item by clicking the radio button and then being able to click the Vote button and have their vote recorded. What happens now, is that I can select multiple items which i don't want, and I can't figure out how to record what's been selected with the "vote" button. What am I missing? Thanks in advanced.

I hope you get this! Well, I got the voting list set up and that's working. And we are adding in the scripts to capture the data in Flash Builder. But we've run into a problem. When we try to build the project as an AIR application it's hanging and won't finish. Now, in order to complete the project in Catalyst, I had to make a bunch of the images links. That's what is seeming to be the problem in Flash Builder. When we check the box to include the "Assets" it hangs. When we uncheck that box it runs and makes the application. Problem then is, most of the graphics are missing. What are we missing? Any fix to this? Please, please help! We need this done by Thursday and we weren't anticipating these problems.

While the Note 4 is a reasonably large device it still falls into the phone layout bucket. We need this layout to function on very small screens some as low as 320 pixels high and 240 pixels wide. These sorts of devices don't have the space for a full toolbar.

How to create an image banner that slides left to right with mouseover?

I need to create a web banner like the one on the following site: www.gracelandbaptist.org. I have been unabe to find anything on how to create such a banner. I believe it was created in flash but am not sure. I want my banner to work in the same fashion so that as the mouse is moved from left to right the banner will slide appropriately. Its possible that some java script might also have been used with flash. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. Thank you.

It is a Flash design and is unlikely javascript is involved with the interaction. There are probably a couple of ways to approach such a design, but if you have no experience with Flash, you will probably struggle to create it. The basics involve place the different images in a movieclip and controlling the horizontal position of that movieclip based on mouse interaction/position. THe position controls are based on what values are needed to have a particular section of the movieclip occupy the main section of the viewing area. Actionscript Tweens are probably employed to manage the position transitions.

How to create custom report plugin using child region report metadata

Hi,
I want to ask for help on how to create custom report plugin using child region report metadata. My idea is to create a child region, a classic report and set the condition to never.
Then i will query the child report metadata from apex view and use it to create a custom report like using jquery jq-grid. Any idea how i can create a process that will use the child report
metadata? I dont know how i can create a process just like how apex work, how apex render report, coz i want it to be control using the standard apex report attribute. This plugin will
render according to the child report attribute.
Is there anybody here had ever done this?

Start from determining column heading, column order until finish rendering the report. The same way how apex
render the classic report.

So this is how i get the header for my report plugin. The same method is use to get the value / data for each column. This process is work. So now
i want to extend my plugin so that i will use all attributes from the child report to render my plugin. So the column header, column order, all will depend
on the child report. And the column display condition is set, it will also check the condition before render the column. Sounds like i want to reinvent
the normal apex rendering process but this is what i want to achieve.
I need help to find the correct logic for my render process. Don't want too much for starting, just want to render the plugin correctly, same with child report,
same columns alias, column ordering and column conditional display.

Use Analysis Process Designer (RSANWB) to feed each of the survey BEX reports to one DSO. Assuming each of the surveys has something in common to compare. Could also be used as a snapshot storage for the surveys in case history needs to be compared/archived.
Build the Direct update DSO with the survey objects. Add needed time characteristics and/or version control objects to the key.
Data sources will be the 5 surveys.
Add formula to hardcode version/time for history.
Data target is the direct update DSO.

define the header size, the packet's length etc. in
the program......Then you get to write it to the connection yourself. Look at the OutputStream classes to see how to write low level output to a connection.
