How to create a channel for a PXI-6509

I am working on a program to control the PXI-6509. The one area that I am having problems with is creating the channel by calling the function DAQmxCreateDOChan. I get no errors when first calling DAQmxCreateTask, but get an error when trying to create the channel. How exactly do you create the name for the channel? In MAX, I named the device "DIO", not sure if that matters. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi schelgr,
Have you had a look at the DAQmx examples in the example finder found in the help > find examples. In the Hardware Input and Output > DAQmx there is many examples that should be able to help you with this query.

How to create multiple channels in DAQmx

Hello ,
I created an application based from this example program, MultiFunctionSyncAIAO_DigStart (from VCNet).
I added another input and output channels, which later on I plan to add trigger features between
the two signals ( could be both inputs, both outputs or a combination of I/O). For now,
I am concentrating in the creation/ setup of multiple signals.
I desperately created multiple channels by converting the variables to array. Obviously, this
is not a smart move. Then, I saw this function DAQmxAddGlobalChansToTask which creates multiple channels.
Unfortunately, I do not know how to use it. ( clueless )
Please send me a snippet of the function usage for further understanding.
Are there any other methods to create multiple channels based from the function/s used in the attachment?

To convert the code using multi I/Os, I included the multi reader/ writer header files.
Plus, those variables that require updating of data type are now in CNiReal64Matrix.
I also omitted the SineWave(), which i think I cannot use it with the CNiReal64Matrix data type.
But, I wonder why is that I have no significant output based from the amplitude. I hooked it up
with the scope but saw nothing. Aside from the changes that I mentioned, I didnt do anything
drastic. To make the conversion fuss-free using the same example, i retained the UI and converted
the single functions to the multi functions. I will add the control for additional I/Os later on.
Please point it to me why the code has no output after the m_outputTask->Start(). I really can't get the output
portion working it. I browsed through the different voltage analog output for VC++ but all examples
use the single function.
Btw, is there a way that i can use a sine wave or similar function to display a nicer waveform?

How do create a channel with no title bar/header ?

II need to add a image to Portal desktop. I have created a channel without boards but I could not remove the title bar. Has any one managed to remove the title bar without editing the leafwrapper.jsp ?

How can I remove the titlebar for �very channel (it's too much work to make a property line for every possible channel and besides I immediately want to have a channel without titlebar when creating a new channel).
I understand that this is possible by changing the leafwrapper.jsp, and by adding the following line for each channel.
<Collection name="channelsHasFrame">
<Boolean name="channelname" value="false"/>
</Collection>
but isn't this possible (having no titlebar for every channel) in a general way which is one line somewhere in the display profile or so?

I followed the B2B tutorial by using Generic File and it working fine. However,
if I wish to receive XML from trading partner thought web server, how should i configure the listening channel, which protocol should I use.

however..if remote partner going to send me thought web services and not thought folder, should I do anything on my B2B? did i need to specific any extra listening channel?No. No additional configuration is required for receiving files over HTTP. Just ask your TP to post files over one of the below URL's -
http://hostname:soa_server_port/b2b/httpReceiver or http://hostname:soa_server_port/b2b/transportServlet
If you just want to test your B2B whether it is properly configured then best way is to have another B2B setup (may be a new domain) which will mock your TP setup. From that B2B setup send message to your B2B over HTTP (on any of above URL's) and see if gets processed successfully.
If you just want to test whether your B2B is ready to accept messages over HTTP, then access the above URL's through browser and make sure that you see below message -
"B2B Server is ready to accept HTTP messages from the Trading Partner"

How to create Alpha Channel automatically?

I have a folder containing about 100 TIFF files, each containing an intricate shape against a transparent background.
I need to create an Alpha Channel in each one which replicates the transparent background.
Is there a way to do this "automatically" with Photoshop 7.0.1 (the only version I have access to) under MacOS X 10.4.11?

Record into an action and batch: select layer transparency, save selection as alpha channel. Watch your matting though, as it sounds like these files will be flattened and any feathering in the alpha channel will leads to a fringe of [white? black?]. You could tuck in the alpha channel mask a bit before you save. It depends on the final usage...

GO the Preferences ➤ Advanced window an dmake sure that the Advanced Tools are enabled (otherwise, some features are not displayed in Logic)
No Go to the Window menu and choose "MIDI Environment" or use the Key Command cmd+0

I am trying to duplicate a DB with RMAN, but when I run in the box2(aux)

(stdp is my target)

RMAN needs access to the backup sets. You can try:
- running RMAN on the target machine whilst still duplicating to the auxilliary box;
- copying/mounting your backup sets to the same path on the auxilliary box;
- copying/mounting your backup sets to a different path on the auxilliary box and registering in RMAN;
Details on versions, O/S, backup locations, channel specs would help.

I tryed to create a new channel using the method createChannel(...)+ in the class ContainerProviderContext+ of the package com.sun.portal.providers.context+ and everything is fine. The channel is created under the display profile of the authenticated user who asked for the new channel.
But I'd like to create new channels for other users/roles/organizations. Does anybody know how to do that???

Yes you can use JDBC adapter to integrate with DB2 but you need to deploy the DB2 drivers.
Possible options to integrate with DB2 are :
We can integrate DB2 system with XI using different methods :
a)For batch mode we can work with standard file adapter of XI
b)Install MQ Series and use JMS Adaptersto send and receive messages with DB2
c)Use the JDBC Adapters to directly write to the DB2 Database.These is for
incoming interfaces
d) Third Party Adapters provided by iway can also be utilized ,but it requires a separate license

You have to specify channel name ,device name, and remember to create the channel using the AI-accelerometer -accelerometer VI ,if you use any other form of this polymorphic vi then ICP source options will not be there and your sensors will not have the current to work properly.
