I do not think that I am completely focused into this completely, so let us see if the following is going to help.
You are going to need a base for your button. When you mention "image" button, I am assuming that you are using that term to differentiate between a text button and a thumbnail type button.
The menus (main and scene) take their origin in .psd files on the hard drive and strict nomenclature and structure for Layers Palatte. And, the buttons on the menus trace back to the menu markers on the Timeline, main menu marker and order of placement of scene markers. The scene thumbnail will only appear when there is a scene marker on the Timeline to which it.
In view of all that
Where have you already inserted this "image (button)"...into the Layers Palette of a Photoshop document or other? Is this "image (button)" in a structured Layer Group in the Layers Palette with sublayer groups, text layers, graphic/background layer"?
Let me give you an example
If you have a button (with thumbnail) on the main menu and you want that to open to a specific scene in your movie, then you use a main menu marker on the Timeline at the spot that you want that button to target.
If I am getting closer to what you seek, then please further clarify the DVD navigational envisioned scheme.

I am not sure what you mean by an X-Bar graph. R has a box plot. Is that perhaps what you want?

I have a push-button (pb_submit)
when when_button_pressed trigger fired...I have a database main procedure to be called.
inside that procedure i am calling 25 procedures.
and all 25 Procedures will be executed sequencially.
I want to use a Progress bar...
so that user will get to know hw much % completed
if main procedure(total 25 procedures inside) is completed successfully then progress bar should show 100%
like wise if 1 procedure completed then 4 %
             if 2 procedure completed then 8 %
total 25 procedure completed then 100%
how to implement this logic.
and if in between 1 procedure failed then progress bar should stop at that incident.
and it should start from dat instant only if again that failed procedure run successfully.

PART_DISP is a display_item.
After completion of each procedures call the above procedure like,

where cntr is a counter it will be incremented 1 to 25, the constant value 287 is the maximum width of PART_DISP (you can change for your need).
The local variable cntr's initial value is 0 and maximum value is 25.

How to use progress bar

I am using jdev11.1.1.5.0
I have created an adf application in which i have a select many shuttle to display data from database.
On the radio button change event i am setting another where clause on associated vo and re-executing vo.
Now the problem is that the processing takes few seconds to fetch data from database according to where condition. For the time being I want to display a progress bar to user.
How it is possible....?

my way of implementig a progress bar is:
window wn_pbar with canvas cn_pbar and a button bt_pbar. The Button has a width of 1 pixel and max 300.
now I have a procedure pbar.init (P_<wn-name>, P_<max-value>) which writes a window-header in the wn_pbar and a max-value in a package-variable.
another function named pbar.next (P_<value> DEFAULT 1) increments an internal variable act-value. This act-value is initially 0 and can increment to max-value. The act-value/max-value is the percentage of the width of the button. e.g. 1200/2000 means 60% -> 60% of width 300 = 180 width for the button.
another procedure pbar.destroy deletes the variables, closes the window wn_pbar and goes back to the item, where the focus was before the pbar started.
with this steps you can easily group these objects in a objectgroup and inherit it to all forms you need a pbar. the sourcecode is still in a library pbar.pll which you have to attach.
it looks like your functionality, but you can use it anywhere you need it.

PS: This is a very useful method for forms client/server. In the web you have to check, that the button not refreshes to open.... the more network-roundtrips, the fewer performance...

In my JSP, i'm going to show some numbers and a progress bar telling the user how many % of a job (s)he has done. I'm doing a regular refresh and getting the %-number from a backend-method.
I'll be very thankful getting some advice.

Creating Progress Bar for File Upload

Hi, I'm trying to implement a progress bar indicator for a file upload in WebDynpro, without very good results.
I'm using a fileupload UI element, a TimerTrigger and a ProgressIndicator UI elements for this purpose.
It seems that using the fileupload UI element the iview is locked during the file upload, and therefore it prevents for the timer triggered action to be performed (this action updates the progress bar).
Additionally I havent been able to capture the transfered bytes from the upload. Maybe I'm using the wrong elements?
How could I achieve this. Has anyone done it?
I would really appreciate all the help I could get.

How to create stack bar chart on answers that shows % and counts?

I currently have a table that have several columns, each column represent one product name, and one column name "units" indicating how each product is sold...
The requirement is to create a chart view with stack bar that shows the percentage of each product''s unit sales.
Now we are discussing whether we should customize the table to consolidate all these product columns into one "product desc" column with all the product names as row in order to fulfill this requirement..
PLease let me know whether this is needed or not... ALso, how would I be able to create stack bar charts that shows the total sales against each product sales in percentage and counts?

I tried to do this and was a bit successful. I used the paint catalog. Created a a request with 6 columns assuming units and dollars be stacked and Year ago units to be a line:

Assuming Year_Ago_Dollars be standard in your case.
Created a chart view with brand and 1 on x axis and Units, Dollars, Year_Ago_Dollars on y axis and line as Year_Ago_units.
Now able to see what I am expecting. May be you need to tweak a bit more according to your requirement.
