How to create resource calendar with Cal server 6.1
We are running the JES 2004Q2 release of Cal server and we are looking at creating some resource calendars (meeting rooms mainly). The documentation seems a little sparse on this...
Part of it suggests that we have to run commadmin to create the resources and then either csresource or cscal to create the actual calendar. However, we don't use commadmin to create users (as recommended by Sun) as it can't create users in a particular OU. Can someone who uses resource calendars tell me how they created them?? I'm lost...
Ideally, a ldif of a working resource calendar would be handy to have a look at - and some info on how to create the actual calendar!
Thanks

How to create a calendar with day of birth
Hi,
One of my colleagues wants a calendar with the days of birth on it. I have written an sql to select day and month and to concatenate it with year of sysdate:
to_date (substr(to_char(day_of_birth),1,6)||subtr(to_char(sysdate,7,2))
i.e. 09-09-76 becomes 09-09-07.
It works fine within a year, but if I push the button next until it's 2008 the calendar stays empty.
How to solve this ?
Any reaction will be appreciated.
LeoHello Leo,
>> now the question arises how to rely on it.
It seems like I was not clear enough. The Px_CALENDAR_DATE item I mentioned in my first post is a hidden item on your calendar page, created by the calendar wizard. This item is updated in session state each time you are paginating through your calendar. The format of this item is YYYYMMDD. You can extract from it the year the current calendar view is displaying. Use this year, instead of the sysdate year, in your birthday computation.

How to create in InDesign with "Helios Server" a flattened pdf file?
Hi,
anybody know about how to use Helios server to create flattened pdf file?
some details:
software: InDesign CS4
Operating System: MacintoshI hope you meant it when you said any and all suggestions would be appreciated. This is kind of for listed bullets, but you seemm well versed that you could play with this to make it work.
First, you want to set your text and apply some general bullets. You can make a new paragraph style if you’d like to set your indents for personal preference. Off to the side, place your graphic you want to use for the bullet.
Next, select your bullet text and convert the bullets to text. Now it gets bouncy, but follow slowly and it may work for you.
Copy one of the general Bullets to the pasteboard. Then, Find/Change, pasting the bullet text character in the Find what. Go back to your document and copy the logo or graphic to your clipboard. Make sure it is formatted to your bullet size and colors, etc...
Go back to your open Find/Change dialog and select the Change to (special characters for replace) to clipboard contents, formatted. From there, you can select and tweak things such as text wrap.
Just one FYI - When you try to select all in your text box, the graphics used for the bullets will NOT be selected in the links pallette. -
How to Create Multiple Calendar Exceptions Which Occasionally Coincide
Ok so here's my situation
I have a group of schedules that currently have technical work and routine meetings and I am working in Project Standard 2010. I am not a fan of including meetings in technical schedules especially the recurring variety that represent informal tag-ups.
However, the team that is working the actual schedule has a significant portion of their work day captured by meetings. They want to be able to resource level, but they have to also be able to show the impact of their meeting obligations on their
ability to complete technical work.
So originally I was going to have these meetings entered as recurring events in the schedule; their periodicities were various. Some meetings were daily, some weekly, some monthly. But it became clear to me that this approach was going to become
unsustainable. With schedules that extend out a full calendar year, the daily and weekly meetings in particular became voluminous numbering in the thousands; in some cases representing 2/3 of all the schedule activities.
This makes timely tacking, updating, and statusing of these schedules un-achievable. I searched on the web and was given a clever suggestion: to create a resource calendar with recurring exceptions that represented meeting obligations for a resource.
I liked the idea but there was a problem. When I was testing the idea I wanted to see what would happen if a resource had multiple exceptions (representing multiple meetings) that coincided on the same day. Would Project recognize all of the
exceptions? So I created a resource named "Bob" and gave him
-a daily exception with a work day defined from 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-5:00 (to represent an 8:00 hourly meeting)
-a weekly exception with a work day defined from 8:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00 (to represent a 4:00 hourly meeting)
-a monthly exception with a work day defined from 8:00-11:00 and 1:00-5:00 (to represent an 11:00 hourly meeting)
I ensured that the weekly and monthly exceptions happened on Mondays, and then I found a Monday were all 3 exceptions would be in effect. I schedule an activity to begin on the date, and then applied Bob to that activity. Then I went to the Resource
Usage view to Bob's hours, and instead of reflecting that Bob could only do 5 hours of work, it showed that Bob could do 7 hours of work.
It appeared that Project 2010 would only honor one exception at a time, and it appeared to do it in a hierarchy... first daily exceptions, then monthly exceptions, then weekly exceptions. Is that simply how it works in Project 2010? Can only
one exception be honored at a time? And if there are coinciding exceptions, does Project 2010 start with the daily exception first?Guillaume,
Most people who have familiarity with scheduling agree with John, you, and myself; that the attempt to schedule, track,
status, and update routine meetings is probably ill-advised. I thought about doing something a long the lines of what you are suggesting (if for no other reason because it would make my life easier) to just reduce their percentage availability.
I may ultimately present that also as an alternative. My solution right now is to create exceptions to the
exception. Meaning: If I have a daily, weekly, and monthly exception, then I consider my daily meeting to be "The Exception" (because it has the highest frequency of occurrence), and my weekly and monthly meetings are exceptions to "The Exception". On
the days when a weekly and/or monthly meeting coincide with a daily meeting, I just add all of their outages together and create an exception to "The Exception" on that day. Theoretically this should work, I was just hoping for a more elegant solution.
I was hoping someone would say, "oh yeah, you just go to options and select 'Merge Exceptions' and you're good to go". -
MQSeries as a Transactional Resource Manager with Weblogic Server
I am trying to setup the example given in the BEA white paper:
Using MQSeries as a Transactional Resource Manager with Weblogic Server.
Version 1.
October 25, 2001.
I followed the instructions given in the documents, but when i run client program
>java MQClient t3://localhost:7001 "MQSeries test"
I received the following exception below. Does anyone how what is the reason for
this exception(s) and how i can solve the problem? My MQSeries Server and Weblogic
6.1 sp2 are installed on seperate NT machines. I installed the MQSeries classes
for java and the MQSeries classes for Java Message Service on the weblogic
server machine.

The point is that over TCPIP the MQ XA connection factory is not available.
The MQ shared memory/JNI driver is required to access it, which limits
access to those processes that are on the same box as the MQ q manager.
This is an MQ series limitation.

How to create a node with attributes at runtime in webdynpro for ABAP?
Hi Experts,
How to create a node with attributes at runtime in webdynpro for ABAP? What classes or interfaces I should use? Please provide some sample code.
I have checked IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE_INFO and there is ADD_NEW_CHILD_NODE method. But this is not creating any node. I this this creates only a "node info" object.
I even check IF_WD_CONTEXT_NODE but i could not find any method that creates a node with attribute.
Please help!
Thanks
GopalHi
I am getting the following error while creating a dynamic context node with 2 attributes. Please help me resolve this problem.
Note
The following error text was processed in the system PET : Line types of an internal table and a work area not compatible.
The error occurred on the application server FMSAP995_PET_02 and in the work process 0 .
The termination type was: RABAX_STATE
The ABAP call stack was:

My code is like the following:
TYPES: BEGIN OF t_type,
CARRID TYPE sflight-carrid,
CONNID TYPE sflight-connid,
END OF t_type.
Data: i_struc type table of t_type,
dyn_node type ref to if_wd_context_node,
rootnode_info type ref to if_wd_context_node_info,
i_node_att type wdr_context_attr_info_map,
wa_node_att type line of wdr_context_attr_info_map.
wa_node_att-name = 'CARRID'.
wa_node_att-TYPE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT-CARRID'.
insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
wa_node_att-name = 'CONNID'.
wa_node_att-TYPE_NAME = 'SFLIGHT-CONNID'.
insert wa_node_att into table i_node_att.
clear i_struc. refresh i_struc.
select carrid connid into corresponding fields of table i_struc from sflight where carrid = 'AA'.
rootnode_info = wd_context->get_node_info( ).
rootnode_info->add_new_child_node( name = 'DYNFLIGHT'
attributes = i_node_att
is_multiple = abap_true ).
dyn_node = wd_context->get_child_node( 'DYNFLIGHT' ).
dyn_node->bind_table( i_struc ).
l_ref_interfacecontroller->set_data( dyn_node ).
I am trying to create a new node. That is
CONTEXT
- DYNFLIGHT
CARRID
CONNID
As you see above I am trying to create 'DYNFLIGHT' along with the 2 attributes which are inside this node. The structure of the node that is, no.of attributes may vary based on some condition. Thats why I am trying to create a node dynamically.
Also I cannot define the structure in the ABAP dictionary because it changes based on condition

How to create restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1
hi i am bhaskar ... how to create restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1 and how to restore system from a restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1.. is this option available or not ? what is the difference between shadow copies and
restore point ? instead of restore point we have this shadow copies option in windows server 2008 ?BhaskarAFIK, Restore Points doesn’t exist in Windows 2008.
Volume Shadow Copy option can be used to achieve:
Creating consistent backups of open files and applications
Creating shadow copies for shared folders
Creating transportable shadow copies using a hardware provider — for backup, testing and data mining scenarios
Quickly recovering and restoring files and data
It is more like a file, data, application backup.

How to create a GregorianCalendar with timezone information
Hello All,
Can any one tell me how to create a GregorianCalendar with time zone information i.e
I have following information with me
year
month
day
hour
minutes
seconds
deci-seconds
direction from UTC "+" / "-" (in ascii notation)
hours from UTC minutes from UTC
How can i construct a calender out of it?How to construct a calendar:
Calendar.getInstance()
Did you consider looking at the API docs with the set() method for calendar and the field constants for the values you can set?
Although I wonder whether it's simpler to just concatenate the data to a String and parse it to a Date instance using SimpleDateFormat. -

Edited by: Roshni Shankar on Aug 9, 2012 12:06 AMHi Roshni,
For most MW targets including the WebLogic Server target, you can set the thresholds by going to the target drop-down (right above the main pane, you will see a "WebLogic Server" menu) and you can the navigate to "Monitoring" from the base menu items. From there, you will see "Metric and Collection Settings" which will take you to where you can set thresholds for the target.
You then can set notifications via your chosen mechanism. For more details, we have in-product documentation. The easiest way to find out more about thresholds, incidents, notifications, and other key features related to basic monitoring and alerting like metric templates, you can navigate to "Incident Management" off the "Enterprise" top-level menu item. There you will see incidents (i.e. metric alerts, policy violations) as well as a Getting Started guide at the bottom where you can learn more about these topics. You can also use the "Help" menu of course and look through the broader set of documentation that we offer both in the product and on OTN.
Cheers,

Anyone has ideas how to create Google Calendar as an embedded web applet
Hello...
Anyone has ideas how to create Google Calendar as an embedded web applet in CRM On Demand? I would like to create an embedded web applet to show up the user's Google Calendar. I may have users Google credentials saved in its user record of CRMOD.This can be enabled with InBound SSO implementation where your CRMOD Credentials and Google Apps Credentials are mapped.
if it would help consider reading something on OpenSSO on SAML for this requirement

Yes I do have CRM Billing documents. But the problem is
a) either the billing document doesn't have Transfer to Accounting status Transferred or
b) a transferred billing document, but all items have error "Unable to offset billing item 90003458 0000000060" etc.
Do you know
1) how I can make a billing document have "Transferred" status? Pressing "Transfer to Accounting" button in the billing document overview page will only set the status to "Being transferred". And it's always being tranfered.
2) What does the error "Unable to offset billing item ... "mean? How to get rid of them?
Thanks a lot! -

I am creating XML file using DBMS_XMLGEN package. This XML file will contain data from two different database tables. So I am creating temporary table in the PL/SQL procedure to have the data from these different tables in a single temporary table.
Please find the below Dynamic SQL statements that i'm using for create the temp table and inserting the data into it.
Before insert the V_NAME filed, i will be appending a VARCHAR field to the original data.
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'CREATE TABLE TEMP_TABLE (UNIQUE_KEY NUMBER , FILE_NAME VARCHAR2(1000), LAST_DATE DATE)';
EXECUTE IMMEDIATE 'INSERT INTO TEMP_TABLE values (SEQUENCE.nextval,:1,:2)' USING V_NAME,vLastDate;What exactly i need is to eliminate the INSERT portion of it,Since i have to insert more 90,000 rows into it. Is there way to have the temp table created with data in it along with the sequence value as well.
I'm using Oracle 10.2.0.4 version.
Edited by: 903948 on Dec 22, 2011 10:58 PMWhat you need to do to eliminate the INSERT statement is to -- as already suggested by others - eliminate the temporary table. You don't need it. It is just necessary overhead. Please explain why you (apparently) believe that the suggestion of a view will not meet your requirements.
