Why does the start up web page say my Firefox is out of date; and the link I click to to fix it says it IS up to date? Was the first one a lie?

The details are that my first time user impression is that Firefox is a liar, or that the web page is developed by liars; or that the program doesn't function well as it said that my Firefox was out of date, but the link to fix the problem said that is was up to date. So, the only purpose of the statement that it was out of date was to get me to register, and that the company doesn't care what I think about it. I am totally open to another logical explanation. I mean you could give me an illogical explanation based on emotion but I'll just reject it and then uninstall Firefox because, well, that should be obvious. So, if it wasn't a lie, then the second page was a lie.... which is it?

The icons and boxes around the icons of web pages are not showing

Imagine when looking at the Mozilla "enter your username and password page" all you see is text but no boxes around the fields. Well...that is what I see. I see "Enter your username" but next to it is no boxes around the field to enter the username. I have to click around to see where I can type in the box.
Other pages like the Office 360 email page used to show little curved arrow buttons like "reply" and "reply all" and "Delete" with a red X but now just greyish looking pages. I tried resetting FF to default.

I can't print from firefox. The paper feeds throught the printer but does not print. The same web pages will print when I use internet explorer. And the printer works fine with word, excell etc, just not with firefox.

Everyone who logs into Facebook on my Firefox has this problem however if we use Internet Explorer - facebook looks normal.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

To get a rough estimate of data form size, open the data form and select File > Save As from the browser. The size of the .HTML file is the portion of the data form that changes based on grid size. The .JS files remain the same size and can be cached, depending on browser settings. Information such as data form definitions, pages, and .gif files are not compressed when data forms are opened and sent to the Web browser.
I have not been able to find out using their method.
In any case, you can find out the size of grid by using below
1. Right click on the form grid and click "View source"
2. Save the source file as "Example.html"
3. Right click the saved file and click "Properties"
4. The Form size whould be same as that of file..

How to verify and fix, if necessary, a design that is likely to be corrupted? I first suspected I corrupted file when an attempt to reverse-engineer changes from the relation model to the logical did not work. After some investigation I found datamodeler.log file to which the following error was emitted whenever the reverse-engineer button was clicked: 2013-01-28 11:39:32,001 [AWT-EventQueue-0] ERROR MDBAction - java.lang.NullPointerException. This error message is reproducible. There are also additional warnings in the log whenever this particular design is opened such as [Thread-133] ERROR XMLTransformationManager - Unable to load object from XML: ..../model/dw/rel/A864FBB0-411F4EF06C86/table/seg_0/C4046530-1A69-AD31-6127-390C93D8F7F7.xml java.io.FileNotFoundException. The design has been moved from one Data Modeler version to another over the years. It is currently version controlled by SVN but, alas, I have not been able locate a fully functional copy from the repository. (People usually only use forward engineering from the logical model which appears to work fine most of the time.)
I have investigated the design and located a single table object in the relational model that appears corrupted. It cannot be removed from the design with the DataModeler UI (nothing happend when I click on delete on the object menu). I then checked out a testing copy of the design and manually removed all the files with the object identifier in the file name. Additionally, I searched for xml blocks with a reference to the object identifier and deleted the corresponding blocks from those file. After that the reverse-engineering button began to function again. However, I am afraid of commiting a manually edited design to the repository as I am not certain that I have not broken something else.
What is the recommended way to verify a design and fixing problems in it? Starting a new design from scratch is not an option since there is plenty of documentation within the design that cannot be easily obtained elsewhere. I could recreate the broken objects from the data dictionary if I first had a safe way to identify and delete them from the design.

ok easiest way it to restore to factory setting and start from there. When you go to do your first sync you don’t “sync contacts or calendar”. When you add mobile me onto your Ipad select all the services that you want to enable and then mobile me will keep everything in sync.

What is really irritating is that Apple give a big hurray about what they have added as "new" in Pages 5 (most of it pretty useless) without telling you of the myriad things they have deleted. If they had shown the list your gave the link to, I doubt may regular users would risked going to Mavericks with its auto upgrade. My partner got the message in time and is sticking with the earlier operating systems and Pages on Mac and iPad. Lucky girl.
I have found a way to use my iPad to add chapters written while on the move to reports on my iMac Pages 4.3. If I write it on the new Pages on the iMac (don't seem to be able to revert there), the send the report as an email in WORD format (not Pages) and download it in the Text Editor, then cut and paste into the story on the iMac. Hardly elegant but it works.
