I am having  Original CD with product Key number with me, valid for 2 pc, although using just one. Please advice how to do

Hello yogeshjain,
You might need to choose 'Deactivate' option under Acrobat Help menu.
Once you are done with Windows reinstallation, you can again activate Acrobat with the registered serial number.
For more details, you can simply refer:

Hope it helps.

  • How to deactivate adobe acrobat Pro version 10?

I need to reformat my hard drive and I need to deactivate Adobe Acrobat Pro version 10.  I go to the help options and "Deactivation" is not even an option.
Any idea of how to deactivate the software if there isn't even an option?
    Thanks for your help
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
You are not getting the deactivate option as it might be possible that Acrobat was installed with volume license serial key.
If the deactivate option is not available then please go ahead and uninstall the program.
After reformatting the drive, re install the software.

I want to move the Version 7 installed on my PC by deactivating it -then installed it on some-else’s PC and activate there.   How can I do this?

  • Hi, I want to format my hard drive and reinstall my PC. How can I transfer my Acrobat Standard licence ? Regards.

    Hi,
I want to format my hard drive and reinstall my PC. How can I transfer my Acrobat Standard licence ?
    Regards.

First you should deactivate any Adobe programs you have installed so that you free up the activation for when you want to reinstall.  When you are ready to reinstall, do so using the installation files - transferring generally does not work.
Before you do anything you might want to check to make sure you have access to installation files for reinstalling the program(s).

  • How can I determine which machines have activated Adobe Acrobat Standard 9?

How can I determine which machines have activated Adobe Acrobat Standard 9?

    Hi jrector3,
You need to go to the respective machines and launch Acrobat and check if it prompts for serial number.
You can also go to the help menu and check if 'Deactivate' option is highlighted.

  • Forgot to deactivate Adobe Acrobat XI Standard

Tech forgot to deactivate Adobe Acrobat XI Standard before reimaging PC.  Now, how do we get the S/N to be available for downloading back to this PC?

I assume Acrobat was not part of the image from what you say. As for the SN and install files, use the ones you should have backed up last time you did it. If you downloaded from Adobe, you should be able to log in and get them again from the Adobe site. This time be sure to back them up. If you lost one activation, you will have to call Adobe Support about that issue, explaining what happened.

  • How do I customize Adobe Acrobat Standard DC or Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to do what I'd like?  Actually this a multiple-question inquiry.

Note, I was unable to find a "How TO", Tutorial, or FAQ relevant to the following questions.
For instance, how do I easily append to an existing PDF with minimum clicks (which I could do with an earlier version of Acrobat Standard)?
I'm using a 30-day trial of Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to scan documents and in certain situations, append to existing PDFs.
I'd prefer to trial the Adobe Acrobat Standard vs. Pro DC because that's what I intend to purchase.  I'd prefer to not get accustomed to Pro if Standard is very different.
    1.  After selecting Edit > Preferences and specifying certain defaults, most take effect as suspected but some do not, like the one's I'm going to elaborate on below.  Why?
    2. Alternatively, is there a Tool or a way to create a local customized Profile and default to that Profile to avoid having to repeat the following steps?
This should not be confused with the online Profile (or Communities Profile) whereby one states one's Name etc.
    File
    > Create
       > PDF from scanner
         > Custom scan
           > Color Mode: Black and White
           > Append to existing file
             > Browse
               > Select file
                 > Scan
This is a cumbersome task to repeat each time I'm ready to scan.  Using an earlier version of Acrobat Standard, I'd simply double-click the PDF I wished to append to,
Acrobat would default to the appropriate scanner, and know that I wished to append to an existing file without me having to select that option.  Presently it doesn't appear to be that easy/simple.
Perhaps it is (or can be with guidance).  Please assist.
    3. Please find attached the following snapshots/images... CORRECTION, IF ADOBE SUPPORT CONTACTS ME ABOUT THIS, I'LL GLADLY FORWARD SCREENSHOTS.
Meaning, there does not appear to be a way to include screenshots on Forums.
3a See Error.  Is there a way to get a more accurate description of the error (i.e., turn on debugging etc.)?
3b When Creating a PDF, the prompts still seen after clicking "Configure Presets" and changing Color Mode from AutoDetect to Black and White.  Why?
3c Custom Scan Input, where I changed Color Mode from AutoDetect to Black and White and why I must also tell Acrobat to append AND to browse to a pre-defined default location?
    4. Must I be "Logged in" to use the product?  The first time launching it, I was prompted to login using the credentials used to create the account and download the product.  Now when using the product it appears to be automatically "Logged in" or online.  I would prefer to use it in an "offline mode" if there is such a thing.
    5. Once the product is purchased, what are my support options?  Can questions be answered or issues resolved with a phone call or are they limited to the Acrobat Forum(s) and/or Adobe Communities?  Even after clicking "Ready to contact us?  Start here." I'm only given the Forum option (over and over) vs. Chat vs. Email Support etc.
If I've posted these inquiries to the wrong Forum or Discussion, if prudent, please collectively relocate them.  Regardless, please advise.  Thanks!

  • How to Disable Updates in Adobe Acrobat Standard

About 8 months ago we installed about 40+ Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 installations throughout our environment.  We then have had the time to create a completely hands free installation .msi that disables the AutoUpdate feature and a configures a few more items.
    My question is:
How can I disable the AutoUpdate feature on Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.0 without having to go into the Edit>Preferences Menu and deselect it?
    Thanks for your time.

    Go here:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/acrobatitinfo
The Updater guide has your needed information.
If you get the AIM AIR app, you'll get a database of other configurable preferences.

  • Adobe Acrobat Standard 9.5 Install Error:  "Error applying transforms please ensure specified transform paths are valid".  Any ideas on how to fix this?

I had Acrobat Standard 9.5 on a laptop that broke.  Adobe Acrobat Standard is paid for and all I need. I had to get a new PC (Windows 8.1) and I did downloaded Standard 9.5 but when I went to install it the installer gave me an “Error applying transforms please ensure specified transform paths are valid”.  Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Rahul,
No error numbers other than the message I mentioned previously.
I tried the transforms repair and it reported no Acrobat product (correct, none yet installed) or no administrative privileges (I am the administrator and have done previous administrative actions).
When I unzip the Acrobat file this is what is in the setup ini file:

  • How to re-install Adobe Acrobat Standard XI after re-format my computer?

Hi,. I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard XI last year and I re-formated my computer 1 month ago and all software have been removed from my computer including the Adobe Acrobat Standard XI. I would like to know how can I retrieve/ re-install it? I tried to log in to the Adobe website but not sure how to do it. I am using Windows 8.   I will be grateful if someone can help

http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. You can log into your account at Adobe (ID probably the same you used to post here) to get your S/N as long as you registered. When you are successful, be sure to backup the install file and your S/N to a backup HD and/or CD so it is available in the future.

    Hi vincelucy,
If you've purchased a previous version, you can download older installers from this page: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | DC, XI, X (you'll need your serial number to complete the installation).

I purchased Adobe Acrobat Standard V11 on one user account on one pc.
I want to remove this software and re-install it on another user account on the same pc.
Will this use an extra licence?
I understand this product comes with 2 licences but am hoping to retain the extra for another pc.

My experience (limited) has been to expect it to be installed automatically for all users.
What seems to be missing on the new user account?
