We have devloped an application in whic we have used tomcat server .
Now we want to deploy that application in Oracle application server.
technolgy used: J2ee
: Shark work flowserver
database:Oracle(XE)
Platform: windows XP
IDE:Eclipse (ganymede)
Web server:tomcat(6.0)

Hari DucheI'm going to guess and say that you are using Developer Suite based on your reference to port 8889. Assuming this is true, did you start OC4J? If so, a DOS window will open - do NOT close this window as it will terminate OC4J.
Also, what happens if you open a browser and enter the Forms URL directly?

How to deploy form on oracle http server

I am sitting on windows XP professional
I have created a simple index.html page. There is a link to my form (http://lki:8889/forms/frmservlet?config=zodynas)
My index.html page is deployed on http:\\lki:90 . When i click a link i get a message that the page was not found. When i open my index page from my computer everything works.

Deploy ADF to Oracle Application Server 10g(10.1.2) with error!

I'm deploying my application, I deployed ADF to Oracle Application Server 10g(10.1.2) with success. I do follow the article "Deploying Oracle ADF JClient
Applications with Java Web Start" , I was create Data source with name is IspDS and then i test AppModule with Connection and Data source, Midle tier server type is Oracle 9iAS EJB but i get erorr:

Thank you .It depends on your need and what features and functionality of Oracle Application Server you are interested in. Note that OC4J is a component of Oracle Application Server that can run as a standalone component or within Oracle Application Server. Question #6 in earlier mentioned FAQ document states:
OC4J standalone is J2EE 1.3 compatible (1.4 and 1.5 too in later releases of OC4J) and is able to be used in both development and small scale production environments. OC4J standalone provides its own inbuilt HTTP/S listener to allow clients to execute Web applications that it has deployed. Application deployment and server configuration of OC4J standalone is performed by the manual editing of a simple set of XML files.
For large scale enterprise deployments, the Oracle Application Server product is likely to be more suitable with its comprehensive feature set including Oracle HTTP Server, process monitoring and management capabilities, and its configuration and management console.
So if you are happy with what you see in standalone OC4J and scalability isn't an issue for you, you can stay with standalone OC4J and don't need to move to Oracle Application Server.
PS: If you do decide to use OC4J that's embedded with Oracle Application Server, you can't move your standalone OC4J inside Oracle Application Server. You will have to reconfigure embedded OC4J again (as you might have done with standalone OC4J) and redeploy your applications.

Basically you need to deploy the ADF runtime libraries (use the ADF Runtime Installer), and then deploy your WAR. -

Error -8 when deploying JHeadStart application to Oracle Application Server

I have developed an application using Oracle JHeadstart 10.1.3 Preview Version 10.1.3.0.78
We have Oracle Application Server 10g running in AS400. I created a connection to the server and tested. It shows the connection success.
I am trying to deploy my application to Oracle Application Server 10g but getting the following error:

I developed applications in JDev10.1.2 and deployed to the same server (Oracle Application Server 10g) without any problem.
But if I want to deploy application from JDev10.1.3 then I am having this error.
Can anybody help me? what might be the problem?

Did you generate your application with service -level property "JSP version" set to "1.2"? If not, you cannot deploy your app to a J2EE 1.3 application server like Oracle AS 10.1.2.

For instance, in my case I use:
unixserv01:/webportal/domains/appServerWeb/bin>startManagedWebLogic.sh managedServ01 http://pelma3w3per01.mesaperu.next:7001
You have to run it on the machine where the managed server was installed.

So, in summary this is what I find:

- Copy from Excel and paste to Excel = no problem
- Copy from Excel and paste to web = problem (first cell below pasted data get cleared)

It's not possible deploy a Java EE aplication developed in SAP CE 7.1 into EP 7.0 because the XML descriptors have differents formats. Try to use the export options over your applications and maybe you will found some options to help you.
