How to detect id3 tag from all type of songs

I am new to mac development and i have to develop one music processing related project.
First i have to detect id3 tag of all type of songs like mp3, aac, wav.
So is there any framework or class library is available for detecting id3 tag?.

Here is how I approached this problem.
Go to report attributes tab
under column attributes check PLSQL radio button.
Create a function to return the heading of your report as shown below in your database.

Display top tags from all blogs on a non-blog page

I need to display a list of the top-used tags from all the blogs on a site. This will not be on a blog page. I had expected tag_blogtaglist to be the answer, but it requires that a specific blog be selected. Making a list that combines the tag_blogtaglist output for each blog won't work, because it will result in several tags being repeated. Can anyone provide a solution?

This can't be done in an out-of-the-box manner. You'll have to write a script to remove duplicates for when merging the separate outputs.

How can i stop iTunes from Auto rating my songs??

How can i stop iTunes from auto rating my songs in my library?? I have my library very organized and 90% of the time when i listen to music i play "My Top Rated" Playlist on shuffle. The only time i give stars ratings to my songs is for my favourite songs which i give 5 star and every other song is just left with no stars. For some reason iTunes is giving songs i have never played or i dont like 5 Stars and rewining my playlists. I have tried erasing all the stars from my entire library and since doing this a week ago, again (for the 4th time in a year) having a library with not 1 song with any star ratings, all of a sudden i now have 329 random songs with 5 stars again??????
This is really getting to me as i love my music and love iTunes and everything apple but seriously there has to be away to stop this so i can have my old playlists back!

How do i edit id3 tags for all mp3s in a folder?

If I have a folder of mp3s, how do I set all of their id3 album tags to the same album? For instance, in Windows you can just select all of the files and then right click and go to Properties where any tags you edit get applied to each of the files. I'd prefer to do it all in Finder, but if there's some way through iTunes, or another app, I'd be glad to hear about it.

That's the problem though, the tracks aren't in the same album according to their current id3 tags.

Problem is this: I get a column with a comma separated list of id's and I can successfully parse these id's and use them elsewhere. BUT, occasionally there are html tags within that id list like this:

Is there a way to just automatically remove all tags from a column? Could do this with regex, but since there is no support, I don't know what to do.

In Quicktime Player Pro when I get-properties then create annotations they only show up in QuickTime player - I need a method to embed them in the file so that in WindowsMediaSlayer the author, URL, title, length, recorded date, artists on track and such can be displayed.
Is there a version of QuicktimePlayerPro (for OS 9) that will let me export or save-as MIDI file so that WMP will 1) read the file and 2) recognize the annotations as ID3-Tags?
SOMEONE has to look out for the recognition of music creators and talented performers!

ITunes Slow Writing ID3 Tags From External Drive

When adding files (music) located on my WD External Hardrive, and upon trying to add the album art, the process slows down... a lot. As opposed to when I add filed on my internal hardrive (from my laptop directly), which is a lot faster (seconds whereas from the External takes about 2-3 minutes per album of 12-16 songs)
It takes FOREVER to write these ID3 tags. Is there a way to speed this up? What gives?

Sorry, where is the file iTunes Library.itl? If you're not certain and don't know how to find out use this script: iTunesXMLPath
External drives take longer to process file operations than internal drives. Every operation in iTunes causes the database to be updated so if this is on a sluggish drive you will notice.
May help to exclude the library & media folders from any anti-virus scans. iTunes also slows up as you increase the number of playlists and the size of the library.
Are you certain your computer is running USB 2.0? What happens if you power down the computer and remove all USB devices except keyboard, mouse and external drive? (Of course this might be your usual config.) Is iTunes any faster? Are you connected to the front USB ports or the rear? The drive should not be connected through an external USB hub.

ANSWER: HOW TO DETECT Java Plugin from JavaScript

I created a new topic because the questions about
how to detect Java Plugin in browsers are scattered
thoughout this forum.
Basically you need to employ two approaches for IE and NS.
In IE you need to try to instantiate a small applet
(not your production applet) in order to see if browser
can do it. if the browser can do it, you can make a
call applet from JavaScript in order to find version of
JRE (as well as a host of other things).
In NS you can write a simple JavaScript which will
interrogate the browser for all plugins installed. Then
ypu can make a desicion whether to pass execution to
the next(or generated) page which hosts your applet,
or ask the user to download/install a plugin.
I ecourage everybody to host a plugin on your site
rather leave default link to it which is generated by
html converter.
In order to run sample,
Prerequisites:
Java Plugin 1.3.
If you have a different version of plugin,
substitute hardcoded plugin version in JavaScript for
value that you have.
1. compile java file
2. put class file in the same directory with html file
3. load html file into the browser.
4. press "Check Java Plugin.." button
5. see it work
6. examine code
7. uninstall plugin
8. repeat steps 1 - 4
9. see it work
10. install plugin.

Getting Information from ID3 tags from streamed mp3 files in Flash CS4 AS3.0

I have spend my whole day trying to find a good way to access ID3 tags in AS3.0; but didn't find anything helpful.
In my project I am making a sound object and assigning it a URL:
Then I stream the sound into a sound channel:

This is mostly just taking the exact code from the website I mentioned earlier.
When I run this it outputs the trace command 1 time and nothing more. Only the trace(trace(id3.artist + ' - ' + id3.songName);) gets triggered once.
No errors. No warning. Not working.

Here's some code I cooked up. I have created an object that processes code so that it can be incorporated directly into a project. There is some redundancy so that the it can be used in more than one way. Depending on your situation you might have to make the condition statement a little more sophisticated to catch stray ">" tags.
