How to determine the Parent process information in Oracle BPMS 10g

Hi ,
I am trying to retrieve the parent process information given the instanceId and Process Id of an instance of a process from a different process.
I am getting the instanceId of the instance in workspace using the Fuego.Papi.ProcessService and by creating the Filter.
I tried using the ProcessInstance.parent but it needs to be instantiated using the instance details of my referred instance, which i am not able to do.
Can some one shed some light on how to get the parent process details from the referred instance.

Hi,
If you mean to increase the request timeout i.e the time when a request is submitted to the server and the response is sent by the server it can be done in httpd.conf file located in $OracleHome/Apache/Apache/conf directory.
The attribute to be used for setting timeout is "Timeout". By default teh value is 600 seconds i.e 5 minutes.
After making these changes , run command dcmctl updateConfig -ct OHS and restart the HTTP Server. Please note these commands need to be run only if the httpd.conf changes are done through text editor.

How to retrieve the Foreign key information in Oracle

I want to know how to retrieve the Foreign Key information in Oracle while using SQL Statement?
I have use three SQL statement to retrieve such information, but the performance is very bad.
The three SQL Statements are:
Select constraint_name, r_constraint_name from all_constraints where constraint_type = 'R' and table_name = table1;
Select column_name from all_cons_columns where constraint_name = cons1;
Select table_name, column_name from all_cons_columns where constraint_name = r_ccons1;
Do anyone know another method to retrieve the Foreign Key information which has better performance?

These sql-statements don't seem very performance intensive. My guess is something is wrong with your database (unless you have millions of constraints). How many constraints do you have? how many concurrent users? What is your dictionary cach hitratio? (other hitratio?) memory problems? other tasks of the computer? is this query the only one being slow? etc.

How to find the Parent process in workflow

It contains atleast 8 processess.
I need to understand the flow of this workflow.
How do i getto know the flow?
How do I getto know the parent process?
I am sure if i know the parent process then i can figure out the flow as well.

Hello,
You can open the .wft file using the Workflow builder and see visually how the processes are designed. You can also see which processes are used as sub processes. These will be your children flows.

If you mean by "parent process " the java one starting e.g. Word, then say System.exit() after having launched the child process. Hopefully Word will not take care of stdin, stdout or err so this arrangement will be okay.

How to Get the Parent Process ID from Child BPEL Process

We have a requirement to get the Parent BPEL Process ID from Child BPEL Process. One way is we can pass the Parent BPEL process ID from Parent BPEL Process to Child BPEL process. Is there any standard function available to get the Parent BPEL process ID from Child Process?
P.S: We are using BPEL 10.1.3 Version.

The existing methods in 10.1.3x allow a following (a bit of a convoluted way):
In a BPEL Java embedding activity, you can use the following code to get the parentProcessname:

How to determine the total process size of the JVM process (that includes Heap, Non Heap and Native memory)?
Is there any command to obtain this value on Solaris (for Sun JVM)?

Hi,
Make sure that Total Heap + Native memory will be consider as total Memory.
That means in 32 bit you will have only at most 4 GB for process + additional 2 GB for OS.
So let assume if you have 4GM RAM then out of the 4GB you can allocate 2GB as Heap and 512m as Perm in case of Hot spot and remaining will be consider as Native memory.
But in case of 64 bit will change you will have good amount of the memory so you can use plenty of Heap and Perm size.

My Scenario is 'i have two data tables, i need to update the same information in two different data tables with OBPM 10g. let's imagine, info is updated in 1st data table, and is some exeption occured while updating the same info in second da table, so i want to roll back the info which is updated in first db table'.
can any one suggest the approach how can i proceed?

How to launch a function/procedure without suspending the parent process?

I would like to know if I can define something as follows in PLSQL:

I would like that the procedure master does not suspend the execution and wait that the procedure_child finishes in order to resume the executions with the further code.

How to determine the ROWNUM in a Master Detail Form

Hello,
I am working in a Master Detail Form with Orders and Order Items Information; and I created a process that allows the users to select a Product ID on a tabular form, and the next column is populated automatically with the Product Description.
To achieve that, I followed some instructions by Denes Kubicek (http://apex.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=31517:241), but my case is slightly different:
<ul>I am using a wizard-created tabular form, instead of a manual tabular form; and </ul>
<ul>Instead of using another page as a Popup to pass the parameter of the ROWNUM, I am using a plug-in called “Tabular Form Super LOV” which is a modified version of the SkillBuilders’ Super LOV that works on Tabular Forms. </ul>
The Product ID is returned in the correct row by the plug-in; but in the case of the Product Description, it is always returned into the first row; and my problem is that I don't know how to determine the row where the user clicked to call the plug-in.
I set up an example in apex.oracle.com in case someone would like to look at it:
Workspace: ediazjorge
Username: test
Password: test
App Name: Sample App
App Number: 1550
BTW, I am using Apex 4.1.1.00.23 and Oracle DB 10.3.2.

Unfortunately, it is still not working properly:
1. When the Popup LOV opens, the first row of the tabular form is 0, the second row is 1, and so on. How can I assign the values starting with 1 and in the format *0001* ? (I am still a novice on Apex and new to JavaScript :-), sorry about that).
--2. Also, when I close the Popup LOV, the value of P1_ROWNUM is ‘undefined’ again so I'm not sure if the Product Name column will be populated.--
3. And finally, you are using the jQuery Selector uPopupLOVIcon, which is an attribute of the Cloudy Theme. In my real application (Apex 4.1.1.00.26), my element looks like: *<img src="/i/lov_16x16.gif" width="16" height="16" alt="Popup Lov" alt="List" style="vertical-align:middle;" align="middle" />*. What do you recommend me to use as a jQuery Selector?
Again, I really appreciate your help and time. I think you solved the most difficult part.

How to determine the contract header's valid period...

1. How to determine the service contract header's start date, end date, when related muliple items with different start date and end date?
i.e., what is the different between the header's valid period and item valid period?
For example:
Sold to A has 5 items, which has different contract line item start date and end date, e.g.,
item 2: 2010.9-2011.9
item 3: 2011.4-2012.4
As for combined the all item bolonged to sold to A to one contract, so the item should have different contract start date and end date.
However, how to determine the contract header's start date and end date?
2. Another question is: When process service contract data migration from legance to CRM, how to design the above scenario logic?
