How to disable horisontal scrolling on magic mouse in windows 7?

Pls help. It's very difficult to work.

I use MagicMouse on iMac with Windows 7 running (installed through BootCamp). Got sick of annoying horizontal scrolling. The solution described above has helped me to disable it. Here is what I've done in steps:
1) go to http://www.autohotkey.com/ and download an app (a script editor).
2) Install and run the program - please note that it will not open as it runs in the background
3) Rightclick on the desktop -> choose "New" -> "AutoHotkey Script" (a new script file will be created on the desktop) -> name it as you wish (e.g. "Mouse_HScroll")
4) Rightclick on the file you've just created and choose "Edit Script" from the menu.
5) Add these three lines below existing text in the file:
WheelLeft::return
WheelRight::return
#MaxHotkeysPerInterval 5000
6) Save file
7) Run "Convert .ahk to .exe" program from the package installed earlier and browse the file you've just created, hit ">Convert<" -> .exe file should be created. Run this file -> the scrolling should be disabled now.
7) You may wish to move this file to Start/"Autorun" folder, so it would be launched automatically each time you reboot your Mac/PC.
Hope this helps! Good Luck

  • How to Setup Apple Magic Mouse in Windows 7?

    Hi,
I have a MBP that runs "Apple OS X 10.6.3" and "Windows 7 Ultimate".
I also purchased an "Apple Magic Mouse".
I have no problem setting up the Apple Magic Mouse on the Mac side, but don't know how to set up the Apple Magic Mouse in the Windows 7.
So how do I make my Apple Magic Mouse work in the Windows 7?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I clicked "Add wireless devices", but it cannot show apple magic mouse.
i put my apple magic mouse for a while and let bluetooth search, the apple magic mouse can be used, but still not showing in the panel.
if i have to wait for 1 or 2 mins for the mbp to recognize my apple magic mouse,(in the windwos 7 of course), then it's too tedious.
anyway that can solve this problem?

    Hi,
As mentioned in the link posted by Steve, you can check the setting of Data Execution Prevention.
And according to the following blog, some hardware features that Hyper-V does not utilize and enabling them will prevent Hyper-V from loading.  (If your BIOS doesn't have this hardware feature, then igonre this part)

  • How to disable spacebar scrolling

The question of how to disable spacebar scrolling is discussed on these pages:
    https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/935601
    http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=38&t=722865&start=0
The solution given is to use the Keyconfig extension to reassign the use of the spacebar. However, the instructions are somewhat incomplete.
After finally getting it to work, I wanted to elaborate on the instructions. (Since those topics are closed, I'm starting a new one.)
<pre>1. Install the Keyconfig extension from this page:
    http://kb.mozillazine.org/Keyconfig_extension
    2. Make sure the Firefox Menu Bar is visible.
    3. From the Tools Menu, select Keyconfig.
    4. Click the Add a new key button.
    5. In the Name fleld, type a name for the keyboard shortcut, such as "Spacebar."
    6. To make this apply to all pages, click the Global checkbox.
    7. Click OK.
    8. In the Keyconfig main window, select the new shortcut, such as "Spacebar."
    9. Click where it says <Disabled>, and type a space. The term <VK_SPACE> appears.
    10. Click Apply.
    11. Click Close.</pre>

    Thank you shmuel67!

  • Using Magic Mouse under windows 7 (32/64)

    Hello Apple;
it is my second issue after i solved the issue of duel OS (OSX & Win7), now every thing went good under win7 except the magic mouse, so when i open the Bluetooth and search the devices the system recognize the Magic mouse, but windows takes so long time connecting to Magic mouse, and finally it is not connected.
so how to solve this problem?

bluetooth connection is incredibly unreliable/intermittent when in Windows (I run Windows 7 64-bit and Boot Camp 4.0, and got both devices connected without any trouble via Bluetooth).
    https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4079148
After much testing, I have found the cause of lagging/jumpiness on the Bluetooth Magic Mouse and Magic TrackPad in Boot Camp.
    Hopefully this will help others:
The drivers for the Broadcom 802.11n Wireless Adapter have a setting called "Bluetooth Collaboration" that is Disabled by default. Enabling this option removes the problem instantly.
My Magic Trackpad now works flawlessly, even if I stand 6 metres from the machine. It now works just as well as under Mac OS. The setting can be found under:
Control Panel > Device Manager > Network Adapters > Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter (right click and choose "Properties".
Under the "Advanced" tab, highlight the setting named "Bluetooth Collaboration", then change it to Enable. Then click OK.
I narrowed the problem down to the wireless card by disabling ALL startup services and processes for Windows, then re-enabling one by one.
As soon as I enabled the Windows Wireless Service, the problem came back.
Similarly, disabling the Wireless Card inside the Network and Sharing Center (or Device Manager) removes the problem.
This led me to believe it must be a driver issue with the wireless card, since the problem didn't occur with the Magic TrackPad under Mac OS, or on my mother's Windows 7 64-bit computer.
So when I went into the Driver Properties to check for an update, I found this setting about Bluetooth Collaboration.
All Apple notebooks use the Broadcom card (and have done for years), so this driver is installed for almost anybody using Boot Camp on an Apple notebook. I'd assume this problem would affect anybody using Boot Camp + wifi + a Bluetooth device.

how to add a scroll bar within a view window ?I want to display x and y axis outside the scoll window and keep those axis static and move the graph within scroll area
    ananya

    Hey Ananya,
I believe what you want to do is possible, but it will not be
easy.  If you want to add a scroll bar that will scroll the graph
back and forth but keep the axis set, you would want to add a
horizontal or vertical scrollbar.  Then you would create an event
handler for the scroll event.  You would have to manually plot
different data within this scroll event.  Unfortunately, there is
not really a built in way to do this with the Measurement Studio plot
    control.

  • How to disable the archive logs in SAP IDES(Windows) using SQL Server

can any body tell us How to disable the archive logs in SAP IDES(Windows 2003) using SQL Server 2000.SP4.?

    Hi,
Unfortunately, SQL Server does not have the option to turn off transaction logging. You can set the recovery mode to SIMPLE, instead of FULL. This will result in the transaction log being truncated on checkpoint.
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873235 - check this microsoft article
This will help in reduction of the size of the transcation log.

  • Maps zoom/scroll with Magic Mouse

    Hi
In Maps.app, scrolling over the map with magic mouse, moving the map instead of zooming, i need to press SHIFT when i need zoom in or out. Other apps (google maps in safari, or google earth.app) working with zoom set as default.
How can i change this behaviour?

I second this. seems like an oversight. i can live it, i'll just screw up every time I try maps because at this point, google Maps is still better. so it'll be quite some time before i think of Maps first.
I do feel like Maps is just a Beta right now. There are 0 preferences.
I tried using Better Touch Tool but it doesn't seem to work... i could be doing something wrong though.
If someone figures out a trick with the BTT, and Maps, please let us know.
In the mean time, apple has it's work cut out for it. Maps has Millions of Miles that needs updating/correcting/ect. perhaps in one of it's many to roll outs, they'll give us some preferences.

  • Scrolling with Magic Mouse in Firefox

Occasionally, maybe once per day, when I open the Bookmarks menu in Firefox, my Magic Mouse won't scroll up or down. I close the menu, open it again, and the Magic Mouse works fine. The Firefox Bookmarks menu is the only place I've noticed this or any kind of quirky behavior with the Magic Mouse. Anyone know what could be causing this?

I use MagicMouse on iMac with Windows 7 running (installed through BootCamp). Got sick of annoying horizontal scrolling. The solution described above has helped me to disable it. Here is what I've done in steps:

    3) Rightclick on the desktop -> choose "New" -> "AutoHotkey Script" (a new script file will be created on the desktop) -> name it as you wish (e.g. "Mouse_HScroll")
    4) Rightclick on the file you've just created and choose "Edit Script" from the menu.
    5) Add these three lines below existing text in the file:
    WheelLeft::return
    WheelRight::return

  • Scrolling on Magic mouse no longer work after OSX update

I have just performed an OSX update and after restarting I immediately noticed that the scrolling function and other gestures no longer work on the magic mouse. I have also noticed that no gestures work on the Mac Book Pro track pad. The only function that works on the mouse is moving the mouse pointer and the buttons. Same goes for the track pad. Some great update that was. Has anyone else discovered this and how do I repair this loss of function? When I first initiated the update, I saw that there was a download required which mention some improvements for the mouse/keyboard but mainly updates required to support the new magic track pad. Is it possible to revert this individual update and if so how? Thanks.

You were almost correct, but not quite. You can see updates in /Library/Updates. I'm not sure what receipts is, but it didn't contain the track pad/mouse update package I was expecting to see. However, I did eventually find it in Updates after a trip to my local Apple store. What happened was that the original update process completed about 95% but for some reason crashed. When I restarted, it appeared that there was nothing wrong, until that is I tried to use the mouse and track pad. I presume that the update process uninstalled the previous package but didn't actually install the new update. I downloaded the the latest update from Apple, but it appeared to be older than what I downloaded from the Update process, so it wouldn't install. I would suggest that here lies a bug. The package install process did detect the new trackpad / mouse package but it didn't detect that it wasn't installed and should have prompted me to install it.
