How to dismiss a warning triangle

I have an HP Deskjet F2480 and it is working fine. However, the Print Queue window, and the Dock Icon has a yellow warning triangle. The message says "The following genuine HP ink cartridges are installed: Black". It has been like this for weeks.
Is there a way to dismiss this "informative" message so that the warning triangle goes away?
I have tried the HP Utility application and the HP Message Center application, but the message only appears in the Print Queue window and its dock icon.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Richard

  • On the imovi project I have created there are now yellow warning triangles saying the the clip is missing. How do I get the clip back?

I have created a project in Imovi and when I went back onto it all the clips had a yellow warning triangle with the error message clip missing.  How do I retrieve the clips after all my hard work?

I don't use the latest iMovie version, so the steps may be different....... but, you can try a couple of things:
when you got the warning that the clips couldn't be located, was there an option to "find them"? If so, click on that and then navigate to that folder on your desktop (after that, leave the folder where it is - iMovie will need to find them again the next time); or
attach your camera and see if you can get iMovie to 'find' them there, or
simply try to import the clips (File > import) and see if you can integrate them that way.
The next time you start a project, I'd suggest you either
leave the camera attached when you work on the project (as that is where iMovie expects them to be) or
download everything from your camera to your desktop into a folder. Then import into iMovie from there. Do not throw out or move that folder until your project has been finalized,, exported, shared, or burned - those processes will result in having a complete project which includes all the files, clips, etc. Until then, iMovie just "finds" all the files it needs in their original location.

  • Yellow Warning Triangles

I made a book in iphoto and for some reason there is a yellow warning triangle at the top of every picture and page (evens pages with only words that do fit in the box). And when I try to preview the book it loads halfway then comes up with a notice saying, There is a problem with the photo with the filename “n55266606723501403857.jpg.” The full resolution version of this photo either cannot be located or is corrupt. Please replace this photo or delete it from your book, then stops. And when I clicked "buy book" to see what would happen and it says, One or more photos in your book may print at too low a quality based on the design you have chosen. Do you want to continue?
    How do I fix this???

    Welcome to the Apple Discussions.
The full resolution version of this photo either cannot be located or is corrupt.
That sound like the original file may be missing or the link to it broken. Find that photo in the Photos mode and try to edit it. Report back what you get.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier versions) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. There are versions that are compatible with iPhoto 5, 6, 7 and 8 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. Just put the application in the Dock and click on it whenever you want to backup the dB file. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
NOTE: iPhoto 8's new option in the library rebuild pane, "Rebuild the iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup" may make this tip obsolete. We'll know when users have occasion to use it and see if that's the case.

  • Warning Triangle

How can I tell what the warning triangle in Server Admin listing means. I have one to the left of VPN. Clicking on it tells me nothing. There is also no sign in VPN log of trouble.

It has to be charged in the wall charger. That happens to my iPod sometimes and I just have to let it charge for a while before I can restart it and then it'll start working fine again.

  • Missing media, yellow warning triangles.

I've recently consolidated my iTunes music library from an old external drive onto my new 1TB internal drive. Now I'm noticing in iMovie 09 that all the music is missing with yellow warning triangles.
Obviously iMovie is linking to the files that used to live on my old external drive. I can't find a way to repair the missing links.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly received.
    Regards,
    Dave

I've just found a solution to this problem, a big thanks to David Burwell:
    Close iMovie
Back up iMovie files just in case we blow something up!!!
Download "Plist Edit Pro" from Apple (see below)
    http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/development_tools/plisteditpro.html
Go to the folder where your iMovie Project is stored, mine was at...
    User/Movies/iMovie Projects
Right mouse click on the Video Project (mine was called Rachel Video)
Select "Show Package Contents" from the drop down menu
You'll see a number of Folders and Files
Right mouse click on the file called "Project"
Select "Open With" and browse to the "Plist Edit Pro" file you just downloaded (if you don't already have it)
    Expand the $objects list
I scrolled down until i found the missing music file (Ship.mp3 - it will list the entire path)
If you know the file name you can Edit/Find it instead
Change the location pointer of the file (new path and file name)
Select File/Save from the Plist Edit Pro menu
    Quit Plist Edit Pro
    Open the project in iMovie

  • Warning triangles on brush properties...

i was doodling along just fine with Ps CC 2014, when my brush properties suddenly spawned warning triangle. brush pressure, etc. no longer works.
    what happened?
i've asked this question a few times now, but no response. worse, when i look through posts from other people with similar issues, there's no answer.
    why not?
    i have win8/cc 2014/intuos 5 ...btw, win8/Ps-CS6/Intuos5 combo doesn't have this problem.
granted, my measly $10 a month is chump change to adobe, but still, there should be some response. the way i see it right now, i'm paying monthly for an inferior product that's been rife with bugs and hasn't worked properly since i installed it back in june. pretty-much decided that if there's no improvement by the end of august, i'm going back to my tried-n-true Ps-CS6....  (′ɛ‵;)

i've seen that response, and, well, i don't really understand it (not very computer savvy). just what is it that the code is suppose to do?  however, i do see a number of follow up comments that say it *doesn't* work.
the bigger question i have is: why were my brushes just fine for the first couple of months, and then stopped working? and why have i never had this problem with Ps-CS6?

  • How to dismiss the spelling dialogue without using the mouse

I'd appreciate the right tip from anyone on how to dismiss the spelling dialogue in Mail without using the mouse. (I'm one of those guys who likes to use the keyboard as much as possible.) Here's the scenario:
I open a new message in Mail, type my text, press Cmd-Shift-D, then (because I have it set to check spelling when I "click send") up pops the spelling dialogue. That's fine as far as it goes, but many times I don't need any corrections because either I don't care or because the words are fine but just not recognized by Mail. So until now what I do is use the mouse to click on the far left one of the three round buttons in the upper left corner of the dialogue. I would like not to have to use the mouse, but pressing Esc or any other keys I try doesn't work to make it go away.
    Your advice is welcome! Thanks.

Well, that window is actually a floating window, which means that it is meant to hang around. Notice that if you move Mail to the background (without hiding it), the spelling window hides itself, then shows itself again when you bring Mail back to the front. Floating windows are kind of in their own little world, meant to float above windows while not interfering with keystrokes sent to the frontmost window.
I would argue that it shouldn't be a floater, because nobody's going to want it around once they're done checking spelling. But that's kind of a matter of opinion, and obviously Mail's designers thought differently.
BTW, in the course of writing this, I discovered something -- if you click in the spelling window, so that you could type in the field there, Command-W will actually close the floater. But, of course, that still requires a click in the window with the mouse.

  • Mysterious warning triangle in my project

I suddenly have one of those orange warning triangles on my project name in the event browser.  Now I know that usually means that there is some missing media, but in this case, there are no files in red (which is what missing media looks like).  When I go to Relink Files to see what it thinks it's looking for, it shows 6 jpeg image files which it is looking for.  So okay, I have those on my drive, so i will relink them to make that warning triangle go away.  I do it, but it makes no difference.  Still have the triangle and checking Relink shows that it is still looking for those same files.  Just six images.  So it won't relink them and to add to the mystery, those files are not in my project. They were at one time, but not now.  Searching within FCP shows they are not there.

I went through this a couple of years ago. I decided to sign all the jars, rather than combining them. My reason was that there was a main code jar and a bunch of resource jars for different languages. Why end up with a huge jar containing English, French, Spanish etc., when only one will be used by a specific user? Anyway, maybe your situation is different, but if you had good reasons to split into many jars in the first place, keep it like this and sign each one of them.

  • Warning triangle with battery icon

I have a 2nd generation 20g click wheel ipod. I was charging it and then transfering podcasts from iTunes ( on Mac) and when i came back to eject the ipod there was a blank screen. After toggles the hold switch and then pressing menu and select at the same time, first an apple appeared and then a battery with a warning triangle appeared. My ipod doesn't appear on my desktop nor in my iTunes source list. Any suggestions?

It has to be charged in the wall charger. That happens to my iPod sometimes and I just have to let it charge for a while before I can restart it and then it'll start working fine again.

  • How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 8 projects?

How to remove browser warning message in HTML 5 Cap 8 projects?

My conclusion after a morning struggling with this, is that there's no point in suppressing the message if your html5 content then goes on to misbehave in Firefox (like mine does).  I've chosen to keep the popup, but change the wording to refer Firefox users to a completely separate Flash version.  The wording of the popup is also in CPM.js.
Before you all shout at me, no I can't use the multiscreen.html approach, because my Flash version will have to be non-rescaleable, because web objects don't rescale in Flash.

  • I can not add the warning before buying an app. Could you please explain how to add this warning

Please tell me how to add the warning before purchasing an app?

    Hey klw67
Thanks for the question. Are you referring to the prompt for your password? If so, this can be achieved by utilizing the Restrictions (parental controls) of the specific device. For information on setting up and using Restrictions, see this resource:
    iOS: Understanding Restrictions (parental controls)
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4213
You can prevent access to specific content types:
    - You can also adjust the time necessary before a password is required to purchase content.

  • How to Convert the Warning Message to Error Message in Standard Transaction

    Hi,
I face one problem in Standard Transaction Code CS02. In that  by entering the material Number, Plant, bomstatus press enter. it gives a warning message. How to convert the Warning message to Error. In abap how to do that. Please help me.

    Mohan,
It appears that there is some configuration you can do for BOM Message types to change the message type.  The IMG link for this function is:
    Production->Basic Data->Bill of Material->General Data->Change Message Type
However you need to read the IMG documentation to see if this will work for you.  There are only certain messages that can be changed with this configuration step.
Also, please do not double post questions in the forums.
    Best Regards,

  • Yellow warning triangle in title bar

Every Indesign doc I open has a yellow warning triangle next to the name in the title bar. I hadn't seen this before. Tried clicking/double clicking etc. but I can't find what the triangle is trying to tell me.  (Mac CS 5 Lion)

Please post a screen shot. You can use the camera icon on the web page to embed it in your post like this:
Are these older files that you are opeing for the first time in a new verion of ID? I've never heard of a warning triangle, but it might be some sort of Lion-only enhancement telling you that the file has not been saved. What version of ID are you using?
