How to display streaming video in a GUI window

Hello,
I was wondering what the process would be to stream video from a webcam or other similar type device into a Java GUI built in Netbeans. I have had success with this using Matlab and its built in mex compiler but need greater functionality than a Matlab GUI provides so I would like to move this over to Java. I have limited Java experience and realize this may take time, but would like to know what steps are needed.

You would have to use airplay within iTunes then, unless you want to use 3rd party software (ie Beamer)

Hi, How can I stream video from a Motorola dcx3400m P/DVR to my Mac? I have tried a Slingbox but the audio is out of sync witht the TV and it drives those watching on iPads or on the iMac in another room NUTS.
Is it possible to use a TV tuner of some sort. I've looked at the eye TV thing but I live in Canada/USA region and the eye TV products all seem to be for Austrailia or the UK. The one product that might work is a DVR and I don't need to pay for that as I already have one.

If your Mac has an audio input jack you can connect the output of a cassette machine to it (3.5mm stereo jack required). However many don't, so you will need a USB audio interface - Roland make a range. Alternatively you can buy cassette decks with a built in audio interface.
You will need a program to record and edit the input: Audacity is free and is often bundled with USB-enabled players.

OS X can't write in NTFS disks. If you want to write in NTFS drives, you have to use a third-party app like Paragon for NTFS, being this application the best one to write in those disks.
Another option is to format the external disk in FAT32 or exFAT on a PC, so you will be able to read and write in Macs and PCs without having to use third-party apps. Do it on a PC and copy the files of your external drive to the internal disk first

It shouldn't be that difficult of a task. Most instrument drivers have
a simple initialize VI, and then some type of waveform measurement VI.
You would connect these two VIs and then take the output from the
waveform measurement (may be waveform acquire or something like that)
to a graph or chart (depending on if you're outside of inside of a
loop). That should be all you need to do for the simplest form of this
application. You would, of course, want to handle errors and close the
connection to the device when you're done collecting the data.

Adobe Reader Touch doesn't show more than one file on screen and doesn't show them on the desktop. Apparently these are very old fashioned things that Microsoft doesn't think we'll want to do any more and calls them "legacy" to make them sound antiquated.
If you want to do these things use the legacy Adobe Reader, a much more powerful and flexible app (and not obsolete in the slightest). http://get.adobe.com/reader . There are no legacy apps in the Windows App Store.

Depends on what MacBook Pro you have. However, assuming you have something from 2010 or later, you need a MiniDisplay Port to HDMI (or DVI or VGA, depending on your TV) connector.
Then you need to go to System Preferences>Displays and click on Mirror, so that the image is sent to your TV. Depending on the age of your MBP, you might have to connect sound out from your MBP to your speakers on your TV, but that is not always necessary.
Because every TV is different, expect to take some time getting it just right.

I Figured it out! I put the Display chooser into the toolbar on the MacBook Air and there is a little selection that allows Mirroring. I switched it on, got video, sound, and a happy man on my hands. AND I found the correct answer myself, heh, heh, heh.

communication server.
if you mean preload the file, you can do so with various
components in flash.

The JDev3.2 generated BC4J JSP application doesn't allow you to load content from a URL. What you can do is save the URL content to your file system as a file. Then load it using the JSP application. (I know you don't like it. :-) But that's the only way to do it by using the generated BC4J JSP app.
If you want to write a BC4J JSP app from the scratch, then you can have total control of how it looks like and how it works. The interMedia Java Classes have APIs, such as OrdVideo.loadDataFromInputStream(java.io.InputStream), to let you load data from a URL.
