I need to create a front panel with three numerical inputs, these inputs are part of a formula equation. Also in the the same front panel should show the entire equation with the numerical inputs.

How do you Combine separate LMS Tutorials into one Long

I have created a 55 minute tutorial with audio. It is 6
captivate projects (~400 slides). I have created a stand alone
package so the user can view the entirety and jump to each chapter
using the menu in the skin. I have published the same taking out
the menu in the skin as separate LMS tutorials. Up to now everyone
has been happy to add each project as a chapter to their LMS
system. One of my clients wants the class to be one long tutorial
instead of the separate modules, much like the standalone version,
but does not want to install that on each users machine. How do you
do that? Given the limits of the software, I cannot just make it,
one Captivate project. I tried linking the project and having all
the files in one directory but that doesn't work. There must some
sort of way to change the html or xml needed to run in the LMS, but
I'm not sure where to begin.

Short of some very fancy Javascript hacking, you cannot make
separate projects appear as one long continuous project to an LMS.
Even with some Javascript modifications, the fundamental
reporting process is not designed to work that way so there's no
guarantee you'll ever get it to work.
The idea would be to link one project to the next using daisy
chaining while suppressing the API.LMSFinish("") command (or
whatever one tells the LMS that the user reached the end of the
content) until the end of the last project is reached. It gets much
more complicated if you're also wanting to track scores of
individual interactions in each file.
If you've got some Javascript skills, or just want to try,
you can edit the scorm_support.js file in:
C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Captivate
3\Templates\Publish\SCORM_supportxxxx
where xxxx is the version of SCORM you're publishing to.
If you're using another form of reporting, then the various
other publishing templates can be found one level up in the Publish
folder.
The hard part will be figuring out which command Captivate is
sending to the LMS (via the communication functions in
scorm_support.js) that tells the LMS the user has completed the
content. You then need to add logic that only passes on that
command if it's coming from the last file.
Do be sure to make a backup before editing any of the default
files. By making changes in the Captivate install directory, you're
changing how all files get published. You want to be able to go
back to the default behavior once your special functionality is
either working correctly or you decide it can't be done.

you can sum cell by using the sum() function.
you can sum a row:
=sum(1:1)
will sum ALL cells in row 1
you can sum a column:
=sum(C)
will sum all cells in column C
you can sum a list of cells:
=sum(A1, C5, E76, B1:5)
will add together cells A1, C5, E76, B1, B2, B3, B4, and B5

i lokesh, i am using gui_download for downloading excel sheet. actually during download one of my field contains 18 numbers, so in excel, in that particular column it shows as a 3.0000E18 and also for example: actually property number is 100000000000005263, it shows as a 1.0000E18, if i click on the 1.0000E+18, at the top it shows as a 10000000000000005000. it does not show last 3 numbers like 263.
what i want is during run time i want to display property number as a 100000000000005263 in one column.
any body knows for this solution pls let me know.

You're using gui_download to create a file which you then have to import into Excel? If so, then you can format the field as 'Text' during the import process. The default cell-category is 'General', which will treat numeric values as numbers, causing the problem you describe.
If you do not want to give users this task, then one idea is to put some non-numeric character(s) into the cell, e.g. 'PN 100000000000005263' - where PN stands for property number.

I have been using Preview to separate pdf pages into separate pdf documents. How might I do the reverse. Preview appears to have combined the documents in the thumbnail, but will not allow saving this. It just saves the highlighted page.

How to merge two separate Muse files into one file?

Have 220 pages built for a website, client wants to add another 180 pages. The Muse file is already slow to load and cumbersome to work with at 220 pages, it's going to be much worse at 400 pages. Is there a way to create two separate Muse files and then merge them prior to publish (or at publish, or post-publish). The only other solution I have is to build the second batch of pages in a separate file, then copy them into the main file one by one. Is there a batch copy/paste? Is there a merge?

It's not possible to merge muse files as such. The pages have to either be created in the same file or they must be copied over individually later on from the other file to this file.

I can establish a 1-1 transformation process fine, but when I define a second transformation activity for another table I get an error when I try to run the BPEL process. you are getting several variables with values from the db adapters.
you want to put these variables to the variable, which is the input for the file adapter (this procedure is called the assignment).
you want to do this assignment with transformations.
you have to ways to solve that:
use the assign, which is much less comfortable.
or
ask for a feature enhancement via metalink that a transformation support more than one input...

I am creating a fomula based on a KF. For eg is KF is
4.9986, in my calculation I need to use 5 or 4 only.I can use with
round off or not, but cannot consider the decimal points.
If a value is 0.00543, I want to consider it as 0.
Is there any function in BW for that.
Also once I have it in the excel , I should see the same thing.
Like in Excel I want to display KF1 as 0 if its 0.045.And my calculation or calculated KY is based on KF1.

In the key figure properties, you can specify number of decimal places.
Create a new formula in the Query Designer.
(K1 > 0) * 2 + (K1 = 0) * 1 + (K1 < 0) * 0.
You need to use boolean functions when you create a new forumula. Use this forumula:
(K1 > 0) * 2 + (K1 = 0) * 1 + (K1 < 0) * 0.
If K1 value is 5 then (k1> 0) => will given value as 1 and then you get the result as = 12 + 01+ 0*0 = 2

This is one of those things that I find really strange about Numbers 3. The control for what you want to do is not where anyone would expect to find it.
Select the Chart
Click on Edit Data References
Look at the bottom left corner of the Numbers window. It should say "Plot Columns as Series" or "Plot Rows as Series"
Click on it and change it to the other
